Hell Unleashed #2

Demon's Mark

Rate this book
Demon's Mark is a standalone novel.   As a half-demon, Cary has survived a lot... but this love thing might be her undoing.

Levi Walker, master demon hunter, is on a mission to find the demon bastard who killed his best friend. As he finally tracks down the beast, he's suddenly distracted by the newest Argos recruit - the sexy vixen who also broke his heart - and the battle takes a deadly turn. Now with the recruit in the beast's sights, both she and Levi are instantly marked for death.

If Cary Stone's secret is revealed (she's a demon half-breed, after all), she'll be thrown straight into Hell. After a lifetime following her father's advice - never let anyone get close, never stay too long in one city, and ALWAYS work alone - in the past year she's broken all the rules.

Not only did she get a job hunting demons, she also fell in love with the most badass hunter of them all. Oh and, if things weren't interesting enough, she managed to grab the top spot on the hit list of the biggest mercenary in Hell. Yeah, shit just got real.
Please note, Demon's Mark has been previously published in the Dark Legends boxed set.

Never fall for a master Demon Hunter if you are a half-demon, trust me, and talk about awkward, or heck, let’s just say it - deadly! Just Ask Cary Stone, the newbie at Argos, the demon hunting headquarters. Sure, she is a badass in her own right, she is one heck of a demon hunter, and she doesn’t even use the normal demon hunting gear… for obvious reasons, it would not work out too well for a half-breed demon trying not to be outed.

Levi Walker, master demon hunter, all around badass and as sizzling hot as holy water on a demon’s flesh, he and Cary had a thing, or a fling and the last thing Cary could do was let him know who or what she was, so, she just walked out after the night neither would ever forget. Now they are forced to work as a team and the passion still runs fever hot and now Levi is pulling the “man” card and trying to protect the woman he cares for and they are both marked for demonic possession and a one way ticket to the underworld.

Exactly how will Cary save them both without exposing herself for the “monster” she is? Things look bad for our heroine as both her heart and her soul are destined for the torments of Hell.
T.F. Walsh is back and DEMON’S MARK is on the menu if you love some attitude, humor, passion and a battle or two with demons! Once again, Ms. Walsh has created characters you love to love, heat, turmoil and, oh yes, secrets, dark and danger secrets that should never see the light of day!

Who knew Ann Arbor, Michigan was such a hotbed for dirty, deadly, demonic deeds? Definitely one of her best reads, not too heavy, thanks to her sense of wry humor, not too light, thanks to her sense of romance and not easy to put down until that final page!

I received an ARC edition from T.F. Walsh.

What are you running from? 5 PROTECTIVE RUNES

Six-foot-five inches of spanking hot demon hunter stared at her. She didn’t need him, or his help, or his lips all over her body. Demon hunters like Levi, and cambions like her, couldn’t mix. Stay. Run away. Jump his bones. Tell him the truth. He had the heart of a saint and the libido of a sex-devil, He was killing her with his sexiness, and he knew it. How was Cary supposed to deal with that? So, you up for this, my little hellcat? HOLY BLINKING HELLHOUNDS!! This is one DE-MON-LICIOUS book that helped feed my craving for more Cary & Levi! Except now I want even more! But then T.F. Walsh does have that effect on me and no matter how many books she writes & how many times I read them, I can NEVER get enough! Good thing there are more books coming! wink I love, Love, LOVE this book, this series and these characters! Both Cary & Levi kick demon butt, time and again to protect those who can't protect themselves. While that side is so serious and dangerous, they both have this sexy, funny side too, which helps round out the story to be The Complete Reading Experience! As for the naughtiness...prepare to melt! That shower scene?! WHOA BABY!! I would love to play up the romance side - because that part of it is hot, Hot, HOT - but there is so very much great, enriching story to go with, over, under and around the romance, I would be seriously short changing the story by ONLY mentioning the parts that had me swooning!! I absolutely love that the story is written from both Cary and Levi's perspective! Getting both sides of the story adds both depth & enrichment, as well as helps me connect to both characters and the story even further! I love, Love, LOVE the way that Tania tells - shares - her stories! With her lushly detailed descriptions that are never overdone, the story explodes to life in my mind’s eye. Her complex, likeable and loveable characters are ones I love getting to know, that I care about, that I want to know more about. But the part that sets Tania's writing apart & above all others (and keeps me awake all night reading them!) is the way that all of these aspects - and more – are so perfectly blended together, ensuring that the story flows fluidly, pulling you in even deeper to this vividly breathtaking, incredible new world, so that I really & truly feel as if I am actually there, seeing, feeling and yes, to a point even smelling my surroundings, all while living and experiencing EVERYTHING with, for and AS both Cary & Levi from the very beginning to the very end! As much as I want to finish the book so that I know how it ends, I HATE reaching The End because, well, IT'S OVER!! But since I have read EVERY SINGLE BOOK of hers, I know & trust that while Tania will take me on one helluva heart-pounding, intense, HOT, emotional adventure, that ending will be even better than I ever could have imagined!!! The creativity alone makes this book & series so amazing, unique and fantabulous and like no others I have ever read! With her phenomenal talent, Tania writes all of her books with the same level of passion – both her own and the characters! wink - no matter what the setting, if the characters are good, bad or both, whether they are lighthearted or serious, but they definitely are all so FREAKING ENTHRALLING AND AWESOME! To me - that is the mark of a Demon... errr. I meant the Mark of a True Author! And one that has left its Mark on my heart!! I am wholly, utterly and completely consumed mind, body, heart & soul!

What an intriguing and suspenseful follow up in this fast paced series. I enjoyed the build up of the action and the way that we got to know the characters better. Walsh weaves everything together with her usual inviting and slightly quirky writing style that always keeps me enchanted. I thoroughly enjoyed the tale and how it all came together, engaging me on so many levels. It is a story that I'd definitely recommend to those who enjoy the genre, but I would suggest reading the series in order.

Focused on hunting the demon who killed his best friend, Levi Walker finally finds it only to get distracted by the woman who broke his heart, Cary Stone. Cary has finally gotten a job hunting monsters with Argos, but she carries around a heavy secret. She's a half-demon herself. If Levi ever found out, he'd kill her on the spot. But shouldn't she be honest with the man she has fallen for? There's no time to think it over when she discovers she on the hit list of a top beast from Hell and every demon is out to get her.

I was excited to get back into this world. Cary is a strong woman who wants a job doing what she did on her own anyway. But it's not easy being the newest recruit in Argos. Argos has its own mysterious within the organization. I loved all the layers of this tale, and I especially loved the characters. I can't wait until the next book in this paranormal romance series!

Demon’s Mark by T.F. Walsh is the 2nd book in her Hell Unleashed series. Cary and Levi….Cary and Levi…..CARY AND LEVI! You want to talk about a hot, sexy bad ass couple. They’ve got it all. Sparks are flying everywhere, the attraction is off the charts. They work together to kick demon butt all over town. They both have enough attitude to fill up a football stadium. No damsel in distress or wimpy dude located here. Once again, this is a story that is jam packed with amazing plot twists, action and a smoking hot love story. Add in the fact that Cary is a demon half-breed and has the major hots for Levi, her demon hunting partner, and we’ve got a seriously awesome storyline. Levi finds out Cary is half demon when Argos sends out a text message calling all hunters to track Cary down with a bounty being paid of $100k. How can he love her and hate her at the same time? How is it possible she is possessed? Oh and let’s not forget that Cary has also been marked by a demon in Hell. Demon hunters tracking her down AND demons from hell on her heels too? Well, isn’t that just the most romantic situation you’ve ever read about?

Each twist and turn had me biting my nails, anticipating what would happen next. How will Levi handle the news that Cary is a cambion? Will her try to capture her and collect the money? Or will he protect her from the hunters and the demons? Let’s not forget Blinkie, the really ugly hellhound that bounded out of hell to help her. Why does she now have a hellhound by her side and why is she the only one who can see him? Levi can’t see the hound, but he can feel him licking his face. How do you explain that? How will they remove the demon mark? And will they actually survive?

Walsh’s writing has the perfect blend of everything, amazing characters, imaginative plots and action that makes your mouth drop open. I can’t express how much I enjoyed reading this book and riding the roller coaster of emotions right along with Cary and Levi. One aspect of her writing that I love is she writes from both Levi and Cary’s perspective and it gives so much more meaning and depth to the story. It’s intriguing to read how each character interprets the same situation in their own way. All I can say if you read any of T.F. Walsh books is to hold onto your seat, it’s going to be an amazing ride!

*voluntarily and honestly reviewed the ARC I received from the author*

Alright, it's official. I'm loving this series. Levi is a complicated guy to love because on one hand, he's driven to take out all the demons in the world no matter the damage the city takes. However, his attraction to Cary is also genuine and passionate, and when new passions bump heads with the old, it becomes hard to really like him when things get rough. You love him, you hate him, you feel sorry for him. I love it. Cary was also cool. She was strong, independent and self-sufficient. The fact that she let Levi them help her made me appreciate that she'd do it in the first place, mainly because I think it takes a strong person to be vulnerable with others, and that's exactly what she ends up doing in this book. Loved their chemistry, and though what happened between them kinda plucked at my heartstrings, I still got a thrill out of seeing the drama play out.

The writing style was great and flowing, it had that tone you know is perfect for the modern setting while still being all fantastical with the demonic bits. Demon hunters aren't unusual, but I loved the cooperation Cary and Levi worked for. It was different, kinda mysterious. I'd say more but I don't want to spoil anything. It's an overall awesome read. Loved it all and I seriously need that third book!

This is the second book in this series and I read it directly after the first. I think that was a mistake which I’ll get to in a moment. I really liked this second book which took up a few months after the end of the first. I still really, really like Cary and am glad to see her in a better place than she was in the first. There was a lot more of her backstory in this one, and we got to see more of the people that were in her life in the beginning. In fact, I’m hoping that we will eventually get to see more as I enjoyed it so much; I really like this plot! Now, to the reason I shouldn’t have read the two books back-to-back. I really didn’t like Levi in the first book. He was a little too temperamental and whiny, and he grated on my nerves. In no way, shape, or form is this the author’s problem, but I think I would have liked him better if I had let some time elapse between the first and second. By the end of this book, though, I saw the man I had glimpses of that I liked and think going forward, I’ll like him. So, yes, I’m really looking forward to reading more in this series as they are getting better and better. 4 ½ stars! Highly recommend! Thanks to the author for the e-copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

I loved this book for its sexual intensity and the thrill of the hunt or is it the hunted?

Demon's Mark (Hell Unleashed Book 2) we continue Cary and Levi’s story. TF Walsh has delivered an outstanding sequel to Demon’s Fever. The dynamics between Cary and Levi are still scorching hot! The action is nonstop and the suspense? I couldn’t put it down.

Ms. Walsh is an amazing author: whose creative talent excels by providing suspense with a twist, action in abundance, and passion all rolled into one astonishing book.

Levi and Cary are one hot couple but when Cary's worst nightmare comes true, life spirals out of control as Levi struggles to accept the truth and they both become marked for Hell.
They are both determined to find out what exactly is going on behind the closed doors of Argos but with Demons and Hunters alike on their tail, Cary and Levi may not live long enough to get answers.
This is a phenomenal series that I totally lose myself in, I'm right there immersed in the emotions and drama and love every second of it. A well deserved 5 Stars and I'll be eagerly watching for the next book.

This is the second book in the Hell Unleashed series and even though it can be read as a standalone who would want to miss the first book as well!! I love how this book goes into more detail about Cary's backstory and the fact that she actually comes clean to Levi about herself. Plenty of action, suspense and even a little bit of romance in this one to keep you reading and definitely wanting to read the next story in the series. I received a free copy of this book and volunteered to review it.

I voluntarily received an ARC of Demon’s Mark in exchange for an honest review.  The story like the one before was fast paced, full of action and a lot of steamy scenes between Cary and Levi.

In Demon’s Mark Cary and Levi find themselves marked for capture by demons and must fight to stay one step ahead of the demons.  All the while Cary is hiding a huge secret that will change everything in her life.

For some reason, I just didn’t connect fully with the characters or the story.   I never fully immersed myself into the world, I was only reading the story not experiencing it.  However, it was still exciting and unique and I am giving it 3 Boundless Stars.

Sometimes opposites do attract. There's something about Cary that Levi can't leave alone. Cary is drawn to Levi but she can't get to close because her secret is one that he would kill for. But they can't stay away.
