Great Beginner Book
Great reference book for teaching the craft ..and great source for beginners..I love to needle felt and love to share this knowledge. The projects are simple, directions clear and easy to follow..resource guide is also helpful...only thing lacking was a more challenging project..but this is for beginners after all..

I want to give this book 5 stars. I really do. But with no Text-to-Speech for some of us, it is hard to read. Maybe I could give it 4.5? Because...
It is the perfect book for a felting newbie. It really does start with cookie cutter easy felts. And there are a few websites to go to from the book. Too bad they aren't links. And you can't copy the URLs to paste into an address bar, so ... just not as well formatted as it could be.
STILL, for those just getting started on this craft, this may be the best book to get. I have 'leafed' through it several times on several of my readers. The best one is the PC Kindle as the pictures and fonts are much larger.
Maybe a warning I just picked up on, one shouldn't use upholstery foam because it has fire-retardant. I cut up an old neck pillow that I gave up on a while ago. Since I've already spent my fun cash for this new hobby, I can't afford another. But I'll try to get a new felting cushion soon. I hope I don't get to the point of it being dust that would be bad for my lungs.
So get this book if you can. There's a lot to learn in it despite the formatting.

Wonderful book and easy to follow!!!
When. I first tried felting k bought a kit for beginners. The pictures were great but the directions were to hard to understand. This has happened to me a few times so I jumped in and tried to learn on my own. Not understanding the needles and types of wool I wasted time, money, and wool. I found this wonderful book and it helped so much!!!! My projects are so much more fun and better looking!!!!

Great summary which I found appropriate, I know nothing about the craft but it looked like fun
Knowing nothing about needles the size or fact three are barbs on the needle found very interesting. It is very concise and informative which was what I was looking for to get an idea if it what I want to try. Plus there were a few patterns

This is a great book!
This is a very informative book for a beginning needlefelter. Found it to be full of basic information. Loved the detailed description of the needles...their shapes and sizes...and what each is used for. Also enjoyed the description of the three different types of wool.

Nice intro into the world of needlefelting
I think this is a great little book for someone who wants to give needle felting a try. I thought building on the different ways the wool can be sculpted was easily understood, as was the section on tools and materials needed.

Short but great explanations and pictures
Good tips and inspiration, would have preferred more, but can't complain at the price. Includes 2D and 3D projects. Nice projects to try, definitely for beginners

Wonderfully illustrated
I found the instructions easy to follow. The illustrations were excellent and matched the written directions each step of the way. The projects selected were well within the range of a beginner.

Good beginning...
This little tutorial is excellent. The projects area wonderful way to continue what I began in some classes. I especially like the realism of the finished figures.

Easy to read and easy to understand.
It's a nicely done Book. I believe I'll be able to do felting without a problem. This will also be another way to do landscapes and basic pictures. Thank you.

Solid Beginning
This short book is loaded with pictures that clearly show each step of the process. I've seen books with more "wow," but few that so simply and clearly share the information needed to begin a craft. Also, Amazon has several needle felting kits,
as well as wool.

I enjoyed this book very much! It had nice, clear instructions with vivid pictures. I think that anyone just starting this craft would enjoy this book too!

Diappointing
I bought this book hoping to learn more about technique.Instead there was late after page of this is how you make a cute sheep etc. I wouldn't have bought this if I had realised.Disappointing.

Good book for starters
I liked this book . It explained the needle gauges ,wool names and how they are used . The use of pictures is a great help for a learner. I have been felting now for a couple of years and had difficulty finding good plain information to start . Would recommend to a complete learner.
