My name’s Sophia, and I write about girls discovering their inner power. Sometimes they’re fashion designers, sometimes they’re would-be pop stars and sometimes they’re spies. They’re always a lot braver than they know, and I love it when they finally figure that out.

Since I won the Times/Chicken House competition in 2009 my books have been published around the world, from Germany to Brazil and Japan. When I’m not writing them, I tend to be at home in London with my family, or travelling around the place, talking about writing. Wow, this is the perfect book to read on holidays. I loved it and it was such a happy ending. I thought for a second it would end with them not getting back together and so glad they did. It was sad that Nina got her heart broken again but I'm glad she made him work for it and prove to her how much she meant to him. Jamie is so romantic and glad he figured out who Sigrid really was and got rid of her.

I really loved this book.

For me the mark of a good book is one that I can fly through effortlessly without realising I'm doing it. This book was very much like that. I sat down to read a chapter or two and next time I looked up I was over half way through.

I loved that it was based around a band. Over the years I've craved books like this mostly because I think they appeal to my inner teenager who loved boy bands. I loved the boys in this book and found myself swooning over them so I perfectly understood why Nina was drawn in by them initially

Equally I adored the lead in this book. Nina is so normal yet really awesome too. I adored her in the way in which she did her thing and stood her ground and wasn't distracted by the fact that she was dealing with the hottest band in the world.

I want a sequel. Hell I want a series of sequels.

There are lots of books out this year about boybands. Kill The Boyband (which I can't WAIT to read), and Love Song is one of them. Now here's the thing, I've never been obsessed over a band. I've never cried when they broke up, or tried to get into their hotel rooms, or any of that kind of thing. It actually freaks me out. To see little girls crying over One Direction is just bizarre, I don't get it. Though I do love to read about books about boybands. And Love Song is one of those books that just makes you sigh with happiness.

At first I thought The Point were supposed to be One Direction, they're not. I've decided they're actually based on 5SOS. Boys with musical instruments and catchy songs and slow love songs? They're soooooo 5SOS. As it happens, I like 5SOS so yay. What I liked most of all is that Sophia Bennett really made me care about The Point. Sure, they're a bit off with Nina when she first goes to work for the odious Sigrid, but they're not bad boys by any stretch of the imagination, and that one scene with Angus, in his hotel room really made me see them all in a different light, and I am not ashamed to say I was #TeamAngus after that. I actually took longer to warm to Jamie. It would have helped if, when Nina was sacked, he'd actually stood up and opened his gorgeous mouth. But I came around to him eventually.

I loved Nina, though. Any girl who can meet 4 of the hottest, most famous guys on Planet Earth and not be fazed? Well, that's a girl after my own heart. And I really, really liked her. She was so down-to-Earth, and she just had that way about her of dealing with the boys like no one else. She was a rockstar herself. And as she warmed to the boys, I did, too. The whole Northumberland thing really brought it all together, though, and it was just magical. Especially because when you see famous people on tour, it never seems quite real, whereas in Northumberland it allowed for us to see them as people, not as famous people.

I genuinely loved this book. This is the most perfect summer read, with the romantic ending that had me swooning. I would LOVE a sequel. I was so sad to say goodbye to Nina and the boys. It was like I knew them, which is totally insane, but that's how I felt. I felt like I knew them, like Nina was a friend, and her family was my family (oh man, I LOVED Nina's family, especially Ariel - she SO needs her own book as well). If you love bands, or books about bands, you need this book in your life. It's amazing.

Disclaimer: I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Ever daydreamed about dating a celebrity? Same. The book had two parts: the first half involved Nina jetting around as an assistant to Little Miss High Maintenance, while the second half was a bit more stationary. I personally much preferred the second half, as I got to know and connect with the boys in the band a lot more. Once they opened up, I fell completely in love with all of them, and I was upset when the book was over that I had to part with them!

While I was a little frustrated with the first half, I ended up loving this book!

Undoubtedly, a 5 star read. So much fun, so much drama and swoons and music! Fantasy will always come first for me but books like this seriously make me doubt my genre preferences and my thoughts on Contemporary in general. There's so much I want to say about this book and how it made me feel and I can't wait to share with my full review!

In the meantime, I fell in love with a fictional boyband. Move over One Direction, because The Point are a force to be reckoned with! And Jamie Maldon is everything. He will worm his way into your heart and soul. And Angus.

Hats off to Nina being one of the best female protagonists I've read about! This is definitely one story that needs to be read by everyone. So much love.

One thing’s for sure: I’m going to add Sophia Bennett’s name to my list of favourite contemporary authors. I bought “Love Song” on a whim because I had a long train journey ahead of me and wanted something light and funny to pass the time. But despite it’s quirky cover and blurb, “Love Song” isn’t really the kind of book I was expecting. It’s a light read, but it’s not necessarily a funny book even though there are some adorable moments. It’s close to being perfect Young Adult fiction though. I picked “Love Song” from the hundreds of books our favourite big online retailer recommended to me because it’s about music, it’s about stardom and Rock ’n’ Roll. Everyone who knows me knows that I can’t resist stories like this and “Love Song” did not disappoint.

A GIRL WITH A PAST AND FOUR BOYS WITH A MISSION

In a way “Love Song” reminded me of one of my favourite films, “Almost Famous”, not because they are necessarily very similar in plot but rather because it had the same vibe. “Love Song” is about Rock music and friendship and about what it really takes to be a star. In that way “Love Song” isn’t really original of course.

The plot revolves around The Point, the hottest teenage rock band around, but despite their success they’re silently breaking apart whilst putting on a show for their unsuspecting fans. This isn’t new. Basically “Almost Famous” is about the same struggle between friendship and fame and I’m sure there are other stories like this. But what makes “Love Song” stand out is how emotional and “real” it is. The plot isn’t always realistic, it’s not real in that way. I didn’t really buy why Nina of all people gets offered the job as Sigrid’s PA for instance. But there’s a lot of substance here anyway, a lot of emotion that feels authentic and makes you invested in these people’s lives, no matter how unlikely the things happening to them seem.

Nina Baxter, the first person narrator, is a normal seventeen year old girl. And by normal I don’t mean YA fiction normal, I mean real life normal. She has a past. She’s been through a horrible break-up, she’s been cheated on, she has a tattoo she regrets, she had to face tragedy at a young age and now she’s getting by, revising for her A-Levels. She doesn’t really seem like a character in a book, she seems like a real girl and I appreciate that so much. Nina gets to have backstory. She gets to make mistakes and wrong decisions and that makes her feel real, like someone you might meet at school or university. She isn’t your usual self-insert YA heroine is what I’m saying. This isn’t that kind of book. She isn’t you but she could be someone you know.

Nina’s life changes drastically when she gets offered a job as Personal Assistant to Sigrid Santorini, fiancée of The Point’s lead singer Jamie. What I loved about Nina was how down to earth she was. She only reluctantly accepted the offer and she doesn’t go on tour with Sigrid and the band because she’s crazy about the boys, but because it’s an opportunity for her to get away from home for a while. She’s an interesting main character, Nina, and very different from the kind of protagonist you would except from a book like this. She’s not crazy about the band, she’s not crazy about music, she doesn’t take the job because she wants to be a musician herself. She has other goals and passions and I liked that. It made her a great narrator who didn’t always understand the appeal of rockstar life but who ended up a part of it anyway.

A SNAPSHOT OF MODERN DAY POP CULTURE

Sophia Bennett seems to understand what moves young people about boy bands and music, what it’s really about for them. She manages to create a pretty authentic portrait of modern day pop culture when most books don’t. The Point are your typical teenage rock band, One Direction and 5SoS rolled into one. Sigrid got her start with Disney and is now a film star with her own reality show. I liked that Bennett acknowledged the influence of Disney, reality shows and teenage rock bands on modern day pop culture. I’ve read a lot of books about teenagers being swallowed up by the fame machine and they usually feel out of touch with actual pop culture. “Love Song” doesn’t. Sophia Bennett gets what its about.

The book might not age well though. The references to Kanye West, Disney and the phenomena of teenage rock bands might be lost on future generations just like a book about 90s boybands wouldn’t necessarily connect with a present day teenager. Pop culture changes fast and what’s indie rock bands now might be something else altogether in five years time. But “Love Story” is basically a snapshot of 2010s teenage culture, not timeless, but a portrait of what it means to be a teenager, to like music and bands in 2016 and that’s kind of cool.

Another thing I loved was that Bennett treats “fan girls” with respect. That’s rare. She doesn’t look down on them, she doesn’t ridicule them, she takes them and their passion for music and boys seriously and I loved that so much. Teenage girls, especially those into boy bands, are usually treated like their opinions on music and bands are worthless, not as real as those of male fans, even though its them that pay for most of the merchandise and concert tickets. There was an incident some time ago when a rock band lamented only having screaming teenage girl fans because they wanted to appeal to an audience that mattered more, strictly speaking adult men. That happens all the time. People don’t appreciate their female teenage fans and that’s a shame.

But Bennett understands what it’s about for these girls and she doesn’t mock them, she validates their enthusiasm. The girls aren’t ridiculed for what they like and how they express it, they aren’t treated as though they only like The Point because the boys are hot, their love for the music and their crushes on the band members are respected and encouraged. The boys realise they’re famous because of these girls and they value them, they’re thankful for them as they should be. This aspect made me smile quite a lot, it’s such a healthy attitute to the fan girl phenomena and its influence on pop culture that I wish some real life bands would adopt.

LET-DOWN LOVE STORIES AND OTHER NUISANCES

The only thing I didn’t like so much was the love story. I’m not going to say too much because it happens fairly late in the book and I don’t wanna give anything away but it didn’t feel very well thought out. In fact I thought Nina had way more chemistry with a different character than with the one she ended up with but that’s just me. I think “Love Song”, despite the title, would have been better off without any kind of romance at all. The romance was rushed, kind of stuffed into the last third of the book, and I wasn’t really invested in it. The book is an emotional roller coaster ride but the love story of all things lacked feeling. In fact it read to me like an afterthought, something added on short notice because YA books need romance.

I don’t mind too much though. This book is awesome on so many other levels. The strained friendship between Jamie and guitarist Angus, the behind the scenes look at what it takes to be a rockstar, Nina’s heartbreak and how it affected her decisions, Nina’s relationship with her younger sister Ariel, Sigrid being at the same time your usual pretty but empty headed antagonist but still having enough substance to feel like she could be real, that was all awesome. And last but not least there’s Nina’s character growth. Awesome, awesome, awesome.

“Love Song” is an easy read, cute and fluffy at times, but with enough substance and emotion to get you invested. It’s not always realistic but it’s real in the way it deals with heartbreak, friendship and fame. The characters are great, especially Nina, and I really liked the way Bennett doesn’t look down on teen culture but paints an accurate portrait of what it’s about without judgement. If you want an easy read about friendship and music with a bit of substance to it, “Love Song” is your book. If you’re into stories about bands and music and rock’n’roll, you’ll love it. I know I do.

In my opinion this book is perfect. Well when I actually finished the book I was damn jealous from the lead character Nina(I know she's isn't real). This book is just like working with ex band One Direction and falling in love with Harry Styles. What would you do if Harry Styles proposes you? Let me know on the comment section below.

This was actually super enjoyable. I didn't think it would be. I was expecting it to be super cliche and a little cringe-inducing. But I thoroughly enjoyed it and really love Bennett's writing. Will definitely read more from her in the future. Full review to come.

Wow, I don't have any other word for the love I have for this book.
At first I thought she was going to go out with Angus.
And the week felt like a month when we worked for the Sigrid.
I loved when Windy asked her to stay in a house in the middle of really no where with 4 guys.
I loved the shock on there faces, when Windy told them.
I loved when Angus was asking Nina at dinner which one of them were her fav. Then when they saw her blush, when Angus kept on saying Jamie's name.
I hated when Sigrid turned up.
I liked when all of the boys were standing outside her door trying to get her out of her room.
It really looked like they all cared for her.
I really loved the whole book.
Would I read it again YES I WOULD.
And should you read it again YES YOU SHOULD!!

1 Book, 357 pages in 24 hours, divided over 2 days, is how long it took for me to fall in love with books again. Not in a I-like-a-book,-put-it-down-for-a-bit-and-read-the-rest-later, but in a there-is-no-way-I-am-taking-my-eyes-off-of-these-pages-until-it-is-finished kind of way. It describes fangirls in a rational way to the rest of the world and, for me most importantly, it describes that intense feeling you get right after a concert that you can't explain and won't be able to relive without another concert or, for me at least, book.
This book makes me so...happy. (It's a quote from the book)
I could not have made a better decision last Sunday in Foyles when I was indecisively staring at two book covers. For those of us that loved Foolish Games, this is a great book to read.
Like with almost every book I read I love this book, but it's a new level of love that only a true fan girl or book lover will understand.

I picked this book up absentmindedly in an Oxfam about a year ago. Since then I have read it countless times. Every single time I eat it up. It brings me limitless joy - i fall in love with each character OVER and OVER again. I read this book in one afternoon and annotated the entire thing. Angus is my fav forever <3
And Nina is my queen too. I wish I could read it again like it was my first time ever reading it, it's so simple but sometimes that's just what I need!!!!!

When I heard of this book I knew I had to get my hands on it. I absolutely love books that contain music and fame and lifestyles of celebrities, probably because I grew up on Hannah Montana and wanted to be a pop star when I was younger. This book was so much fun and it swept me away into the lives of rock stars, showing me the dark underbelly of the glamorous facade that many of them live. This book had me laughing, smiling and crying and I just fell so completely in love with it. A delightful main character, a bunch of complicated, lovable rock stars that are trying to remember where it all began, delicious writing and the terrifying but exhilarating venture into first love...and first heartbreak, Love Song was everything I wanted it to be and more.

Love Song features seventeen year old Nina who gets what most people deem to be the opportunity of a lifetime: she gets to tour with The Point – the most popular band on the planet. When Nina accompanies her thirteen year old sister to The Point's meet and greet, she doesn't expect to end up saving the life of the band's lead singer's fiancée and getting a job offer in the process. Being an assistant to the super-rich and famous reality TV star, Sigrid, Nina is expecting tantrums, parties and more drama than she's willing to face, however, as she spends time with the four most famous faces on the planet, she begins to realise the layered depths each of them have. She sees beneath the masks that they're all wearing, she sees their fears, their dreams and their panicked wish to find the right path. The more time she spends with them, she realises one of them has captured her heart...and she might have captured his too. Nina knows that there's only one way this can end...in heartbreak.

I absolutely ADORED this book. The characters, the plot, the writing...everything was so brilliantly combined to form a heart-warming, enthralling read. At first I was scared that I wouldn't like Love Song that much as I've never seen the reason behind the obsession of boy bands and the first chapter contained quite intense fangirling from a few characters in the book which was terrifying but so realistic - yet a few pages in, Love Song had me hooked. I haven't read a book in a while that has had me up until the early hours of the morning, bleary-eyed, mumbling “Just one more chapter” or a book that I'm so feverish to get back to reading. Love Song is truly an addictive read and I recommend that you've done all you need to do before you sit down to read this book as you will want to devour it in one sitting – it's just that good.

The characters were incredible. I loved Nina and I felt she was an incredibly realistic character that many girls can relate to - myself included. She was sensible, smart, mature and cautious. I loved how she was unique in the sense that she loved art and engineering and you don't generally see books that contain female characters that are interested in mechanics, so I really appreciated the fact that Nina was a character that enjoyed something that wasn't stereotypical. What I also loved about Nina was how real she was, she was layered and had dimensions and she felt like a real person – by the end of the novel, she felt something like a best friend. I loved how the author portrayed a character who was scared to fall in love again after having her heart broken but despite that, she threw caution to the wind and allowed herself to be reckless in the pursuit of love - it was inspiring. I'm a very cautious person and I always think of the worst case scenario and I'm scared of experiencing things in life because I'm not confident in my ability to deal with the aftermath of things gone awry...but this book gave me encouragement. Nina made me realise that being sensible and having your heart on guard isn't the way to live life. We were made to love and with that comes hurt and pain but it's worth it. That sometimes we have to shed our fears and insecurities and just allow ourselves to be. Laced between layers of love, lyrics and lost ways, Love Song was an empowering read.

All the other characters were layered and multi-dimensional. Every single character in this book had their own distinct personality and I fell in love with every one of them (except Sigrid, but that's understandable). The four boys who made up The Point were Jamie, Angus, Connor and George and they stole my heart away in the blink of an eye. I can also say I have officially found a new book boyfriend in the form of Jamie, the lead singer of The Point, he was charming, kind and romantic and I just fell completely in love with him. Then there was Angus who I ADORED. He was funny and he was kind despite having a tortured soul. I loved the friendship that developed between him and Nina – it warmed my heart. George, Connor (and Declan) were characters that I fell in love with as well. In fact, I'd love a book from each boy's perspective because these are characters that I'm not quite ready to yet let go of.

Another thing that made my heart happy was Nina's family. Family dynamics in books are something that I always look for as I think family is such an integral part of life, so when I saw Nina's fantastic relationship with her mom, her dad, her siblings and her cousins it made me fall in love with this book a little bit more. Her family was so supportive and the love they held for each other was evident – everything about this book, including that, put a smile on my face.

I also loved the romance in this book. It was of the slow burn kind, it was about a cautious girl falling in love with a fearless boy. It was a breathless tale of unlocking the cage where your heart resides and falling into a magical kind of love despite the dance the demons of your past are trapping you in. The romance had me shrieking and crying and smiling and hugging the book to my chest.

Love Song was phenomenal in terms of plot as well. As I said before, this book gripped me in its claws from the first few pages and wouldn't relinquish its hold until I'd turned the last page. It was such a fun read and one that allowed me to get completely swept away in the fractured life of the rich and the famous. I love how this book portrayed what I can imagine is the life of a rock star. You have the world at your fingertips, everyone claiming to love you but you're so alone. It also tugged at my heart to see how lost and confused the boys were about which direction they were going in, where it all began and why they were pursuing this career. Love Song showed how easy it is to lose sight of things and feel like you're losing your identity, but with the right person by your side, the path ahead seems to look slightly less daunting.

Another thing I loved about Love Song was all the music in it. Music is such a colossal part of my life and I've grown up listening to incredible music as my mom and dad have hundreds of CDs and records, so I absolutely loved that part of Love Song. The Nirvana, Led Zeppelin and Beatles references, the thoughts on the indescribable way music can make us feel and the desire to create something like what we've just heard. After I'd finished this book, I was inspired to fill the world with a harmony that had been left unsung.

Love Song was a sensational, heartwarming read that I fell completely in love with. With divine writing, a stellar cast of characters, the exhilaration of love and the devastation of heartbreak combined with a glimpse into the glittering facade of the desolate music industry, Love Song is a book that will leave you spellbound.

My favourite of Sophia Bennett's books by far.

Nina was so easy to love and I was carried away with her on this life changing experience.

Wow! Wish I could've hung out with a fantastic boy band when I was 17. Completely jealous of a totally fictitious character - I really need to get out more. And yet, instead I am going to read more books.

It took me long to read this, mostly because there were other things (books and games) in my life that needed my attention. But now I finished it and it was AMAZING! <3

I just love books about bands, boybands or girlbands, about touring, about concerts. It is just so much fun, especially when done from the perspective from someone who isn't on the band.

Our main girl gets the chance to tour with the hottest band out there in her world. The Point. This thanks to some accident that happened in which she kept her cool and helped out. She can now assistant a bitchy diva who is engaged to the lead singer.

Nina was just brilliant, I loved her level-headedness and how she never let herself be distracted. It was also fun that she wasn't a fan of the band, that really gave the book extra dimension. All the others girls were just screaming, shouting, squealing, and all other things, but not this girl. In fact she was mostly not even impressed with the band. I loved seeing how her opinions changed, and how she grew in this book. Not only in regards to the band, but also her life and other things.

Her family was really fun, and I also loved Nina's best friend.

I really really hated Sigrid. Dear Lord, that girl was just horrendous, bad, disgusting, and she only did things for her own gain. She never really cared about anyone it seems. Maybe she did a bit about Jamie, but even that I doubt highly. At first she seems pretty OK, but I already quickly could see that this was just a side of her that she showed to the public, in actuality she was demanding and bitchy.
The things she did in this book, and how she hurt Nina, bah, I just wanted to erase her from the story.

That was actually my only hate part of the book. That character. All the others? Even Jamie (because in the beginning he was a bit annoying) were all just absolutely lovely. They all had their problems, and backstories, and much much more and that made them real, that made them fun, that made them interesting, and I just wanted to know more and more about them.

I knew about the love interest from the get-go, it was just so obvious, but I loved how the author wrote about it, and how she didn't make it the main focus of the story. It was important, it was there, but it wasn't taking over the plot. Thankfully, because that left a lot of room for other fun things. Like touring, and music, and friendship.

The book is kind of split in two parts. The first part with Sigrid, and then the second part with the band in the middle of nowhere. I loved both parts. The first part because of the touring, because of the drama. The second part because it brought us so much closer to the guys and also our MC, and gave us an amazing, fabulous, swoon-worthy, sweet, wonderful ending.

I laughed, I cried, I cheered, this book really made me feel a lot of things, and I loved it.

I would highly recommend this book to everyone!

The Point is a famous band and Nina's sister is a big fan. Nina accompanies her to one of their concerts and because they have special tickets they are allowed to meet the band members. Nina is only there for her sister, but when she saves the girlfriend of one of the band members they offer her a job as a personal assistant. Because of the chance to travel Nina reluctantly agrees. The job isn't what she expected, especially behind the scenes things aren't going very well. She has to be there all the time and works many hours per day, so she doesn't have the chance to look around much.

Even though the tour with The Point might have been an experience she doesn't want to repeat Nina gets to know the band members pretty well. They seem to like her company and they're easy to get along with. When the job is over she's ready to go back to her family and to pick up her life again, but then then the manager of The Point offers her the opportunity of a lifetime. Will Nina make a mistake again or will she actually have a better time than before?

Love Song is a great story about a girl who has the chance to spend time with a famous band. Nina is levelheaded, she isn't impressed by status or fame and she's resilient and creative. She's a great main character and it was fun to read about her adventures with The Point. It's because of her personality that she's perfect for the jobs they're asking her to do. I enjoyed reading about the band and how the members behave when they aren't on stage. Sophia Bennett writes about people you want to get to know and I loved that about this book.

Love Song is a book about music. Sophia Bennett has great taste and I loved reading about the band, the songs and the musicians the members like themselves. She writes about some of my favorite records which made me enjoy this book even more. The story flows easily and I read it in one sitting. It's fast-paced and the vivid writing makes every scene come to life very well. The members of The Point are involved in a lot of drama and I often had a smile on my face when I read about their actions. I think Sophia Bennett has written an amazing entertaining story that is a joy to read.

This book gave me all of the feels. Some of my friends had raved about this book and I knew I had to pick it up and I'm so glad I did! I was instantly gripped from the very beginning. I was there with Nina throughout this whole book and I loved every second of it and I need more.

Nina and her sister, Ariel who is a massive The Point fan, get meet and greet tickets and go to meet the band. To Ariel they are everything, to Nina they remind her of heartbreak but she would do anything for her sister. After the meet and greet Nina is asked to become a PA for the lead singers fiance. She is a little wary at first but decides to take the opportunity especially as she will be travelling around the world. She finds out what the band is really like and certain things happen, with them almost splitting up and the fiance being a little to nice to her and she has to deal with not trying to fall for a certain band member-even if their songs bring her bad memories.

This book is filled with laughs, drama, romance and friendship. The Point have been together for years and with everything changing and them falling out their manger tries to help them get that feeling back and go back to how they where. Nina is thrown into this craziness but she handles it very well even if she has to handle that and doing her exams. Her relationship with her family is great. She helps out a lot with taking care of her brothers and sisters as her parents work a lot and she has a good group of friends that are always there for her and make her laugh. Her relationship with the band is crazy. At first, they ignore her. But she does things that surprises them and is very caring when they need someone to help them and her relationship with a certain someone kills me, in a good way.

This book had me gasping, had my heart breaking, laughing, squealing-it just had me doing everything and that's how I knew I fell completely in love with this book and the characters and I want more. I'm glad about the ending but I miss these characters already.

A fantastic boybandlit novel from Sophia and I cannot wait to read more of her books!

OMG, thank you so much Sophia!

I don't ask a lot from books, I think, but for the last few that I've picked up, I've been beyond disappointed with the content. I've abandoned them, and that never happens.

I've been looking at Love Song in the stores for a while, and wasn't going to get it (yet) but I forgot my phone for work and had been reading something on my kindle app on there. And I needed something to read on my break so, Love Song it was.

I loved the voice of Nina right away. She had the right balance of humility and likability. Though the narrative was a little unrealistic - and yes, I've written those fanfics at the age of fourteen - the elements that matter, the atmosphere and personalities, they were all there. They made up for the unlikely scenario of a seventeen-year-old girl working with for actress who was dating a member of a band.

If I were to change anything though, I would change the boy she ended up with. I thought Nina and Angus had more chemistry than Nina and Jamie, though it was obvious from the start who it would end up being. But then, Jamie did seem like a good fit, in the end.

It reminded me so much of Girl Online (Zoe Sugg)! I loved this book because it has no clichés! Normally rockstar/Normal girl romances are so full of clichés and roll-your-eyes moments that it hurts but this book was exciting and fiery. Nina was awesome and really likeable along with Jamie who was cocky at first and then really heart meltingly romantic. I was literally wanting the book to go on at the end of the novel because I wasn't extremely happy with the way it ended. It was happy but short? Whyyyyyyy! I could have read another 50 pages happily. But it was altogether an amazing book about a girl and a boy and the rest of the world. It really put celebrity life into perspective. I recommend this book to anyone who likes an emotional rollercoaster and tears. Such an amazing novel and I will be reading it again in the future for definite! Xx

3.5 stars. Cute, fun, and feel-good! I liked the practical heroine, and appreciated the realistic view of touring and being famous (i.e. not as fun as it sounds). I thought the whole book would be about Nina on tour with The Point, so the change of direction caught me by surprise, but I think I enjoyed the second half even more than the first. Sophia Bennett's books are just so intensely readable. (I stayed up late finishing this one.) She writes well, the characters are interesting and have depth, and you can't help but be drawn in to the story.

I flew through the book, it was quick, easy to read and also very interesting and different. I liked how it was about romance between two different people in this case Nina and Jame ( and also the band members) What band members go through on a daily basis and also Nina's struggles and her family and her thoughts regarding towards the band.

I was in the mood of a rockstar book and found this one. It was well written and I really liked it. Nina’s sister Ariel is a big fan of The Point. One day she accompanies Ariel to a meet and greet with the band and rescues the Fiancé of lead singer Jamie, when her dress starts burning.
Some time later the manager of the band ask Nina to be the PA for Sigrid the high maintenance girl friend she rescued. She agrees and follows the band to several concerts without seeing a concert, because Sigrid keeps her busy. She get’s fired because Sigrid is unreasonable. But then the Manager ask er to go to a secret location with the band so that they can write and record their new CD. She agrees to go with them and that’s where the story starts to get interesting. She befriends the band members slowly and she helps them to get over their differences. Jamie also bonds with Nina and they start out as friends and develop a new relationship. There is also a lot of heartbreak in this story, until we get a HEA. It is a cute book.
