Lonz is from Augusta GA, a Marine Corps veteran, and former Adjunct Professor. He was also a Project Manager Professional and worked in multiple areas of technology.
He loves family, friends, scuba diving, and physical fitness.
His love of writing began at a youthful age. However, he never stepped out on faith until his first novel "Good Guys Finish Last." Though it's not his best work, it's a story most readers enjoy. His second book "A Choice to Yield" addresses continual social issues where love is blind. Yet again, the story attacks moral America. Subsequent books include "When Love Evolves, and Crossed Expectations" part of the Good Guys Series. "A Cyber Affair" online dating for Baby Boomers, and "A Loss Too Great" when your world crumbles before your eyes.
This was an interesting read. I like that it's a continuation and that it isn't wrapped up in a tidy bow at the end. my favourite character was Gail. I'm interested to find out what happens with Rodney and Linda and the disease. I wonder if Gail and Rodney will be able to make it through their wedding.
At first I was aghast at how obsessive Sabrina, Simone and Linda were. But it made the story more real as opposed to the typical romance that is out there. People do crazy things when it comes to "love"/obsession.
I would recommend this book to someone who isn't looking for a typical romance.
Very good book!

From his stint as a volunteer physician in war-torn Angola, Dr. Lorenz Maynard suffers from post dramatic stress, but the story becomes even more intriguing when he applies for a position at a new eating-disorders’ clinic but his ex-fiancée, Sabrina Atherton, a tenacious businesswoman and a board member becomes suspicious as to why he left a position in Wilmington to take this post in Richmond. Through flashbacks, we get to learn more about him as well as the other multi-faceted characters, adding more draw-dropping drama, envy, unrequited love, revenge, anger, extortion, secrets and lies, and shocking revelations. You will be taken on a roller-coaster ride with shocking turns, bringing together an ending that will leave you gasping for air. The author incorporates powerful, intelligent, and sharp women into his writings, and he also reminds us how war can have a devastating impact on a country and its citizens, leaving physical, mental and emotional scars that may never mend. This plot-driven, well-written story reminds us that relationships are not always overflowing with peaches and cream.
It was very interesting how far someone would push so far to force themselves on a person. The poor soul let his illness get to him. I wished the person had gotten the help he needed. It shows how some woman just refuse to believe that they cannot treat a person anyway they want, and expect them to not change.
This is a fast paced book and really enjoyed it. The problem I have is I do not like books that do not reach a resolution but leave you hanging. This book has several story lines going and sometimes hard to follow but it is good and I want to read the rest to find out what happens next
The most difficult book to write. It's gut wrenching accounts on life-threatening events, dangerous behaviour, and rebellious love. When you can't understand decisions of the heart and those for life you live in the moment. In this book, Lorenz lived saving lives and carefully deliver the best healthcare possible in a hostile environment. He may have saved one too many.
When Sabrina identifies the life he had, he's living in the moment of despair. He desperately faces the demons of his past and ends up doing the thinkable. Before he journeys to the source of his change, he's loving his past.
This novel is emotional from beginning to tend, It's not your season romance, following Good Guys Finish Last, and When Love Evolves. It's place exactly in the series where events dictate the better part of the story.
