Rate this book
The new, exciting western novel from Dusty Rhodes! This is one book filled to the brim with dead bad guys!

Seth Forster has been a cowboy on the Texas range since he was 10 years old. He’s an expert roper, brander, hunter, and bronc buster. He goes to Chicago in 1880 to spend a bit of money. While in one of the classiest establishments, the dealer cheats him out of a high-odds win and he pins his hand to the table with the correct card under it. Taken to jail because the establishment is protected, he is drafted to be a Special U. S. Marshal without a set territory and a to catch cowboys because the others don’t look or smell like a cowboy.

There is a fortified ranch near the Laramie River where Texas outlaws go when Texas is too hot. Seth’s mission was to infiltrate the ranch, and find out more. Now there are three men trying to kill The ranch owner, a Sharpshooter, and a cannibal mountain man they’ve hired. Out in the forest, with limited supplies, he must kill each one of them. But can he, do it?

Unaware when purchased this book, but I purchased it previously in one of the six novel purchases.

Actually, this story is the first one I have ever read by the author, Dusty Rhodes, but I purchased the four book set of the Seth Forster series. Well deserving of the five stars I awarded the book, as I am definitely impressed with Mr. Rhodes writing abilities.

I definitely recommend this book to all readers interested in our old western episodes. Mr. Rhodes does an excellent job in his descriptive presentation of his characters and storylines.

I am looking forward to the remaining books in this series, as well as any other stories by this very profound storyteller.

UNDER COVER

Not bad a bit comical how he deceived the owl hoots he was sent to arrest. It also seems to be a biography of Dusty Rhodes life, and how the lawless survived and how some left the country for certain countries in South America to start over again with a new life that was gained through all kinds of robberies.

Not Impressed!

After the big write-up about this Author I guess I expected more or the problem may be that I just don’t like his writing style.
