The first 3 chapters introduce blockchain concepts. Chapter 4 includes some use cases of blockchain. The last two chapter are an ad for IBM projects called Bluemix.

The first 3 chapters are an excellent introduction to the concepts behind blockchain, why it's useful and why you might want to use it. The 4th chapter shows how companies are already utilizing blockchain tech to smooth out frictions in business processes. The last two chapters are basically an ad for IBM and a project they're working on with The Linux Foundation named Hyperledger and Hyperledger Fabric. Worth the read if you're interested in blockchain but are confused by some of the common terms thrown around.

Después de muchos años leyendo papers, posts en Medium y otros blogs sobre el tema, decidí arrancar un libro sobre blockchain, más que nada para poder familiarizar ciertos conceptos a colegas y amigos que quieren saber del tema.

Está bueno para tener una idea de los conceptos básicos, pero no es nada nuevo de lo que se pueda leer en cualquier lado. Sinceramente, no me aportó mucho haber leído este ebook.

Sí, está bueno que aborde casos de aplicación de blockchain (como ejemplo está Hyperledger que es una plataforma similar a Ethereum, pero para empresas) y sí, también se simplifica muchísimo el tema (casi 9 años de desarrollo, reducidos a muy pocos párrafos con palabras clave).
Algo no menor es que está hecho por gente de IBM, lo cual proporciona información sesgada y que defiende obviamente los intereses de UNA empresa, cuando a la red la formamos bocha de personas con bocha de intereses pero, SIEMPRE vamos a apoyar la descentralización y la distribuición de los nodos e ideas, que es justamente lo que promueve el desarrollo de bitcoin (como ejemplo de una de las aplicaciones más usadas y pionera en esto), así como de tantísimas otras utilidades.

Krótkie wprowadzenie do świata blockchain. Napisane prostym i łatwym językiem. Brak tutaj technikaliów a jedynie wysokopoziomowe opisanie technologii i jej potencjalnych zastosowań. Książka skupia się na biznesowej stronie zastosowania blockchainow i pomija kwestie kryptowalut.
Książka pisana z pomocą IBM wiec znalazły się też rozdziały „sponsorowane” opisujące jak technologie oferowane przez IBM pomogą w ew. wdrożeniach.

Całkiem fajna opcja dla osób bez żadnego rozeznania w tej materii chcących zrozumieć na bardzo wysokim poziomie o co chodzi.

Very small book that introduces the concept of blockchain, the people involved in the mechanism of blockchain, some examples of the use of blockchain. Tantalizing and I will read more on the subject.

It helped me understand the business aspect of Blockchain, having laid the foundation for Blockchain basics in the first two chapters... I will be reading next about IBM Blockchain in action in next few chapters. I love the book because it explains very good with real world examples and it helped me improve my knowledge of how Blockchain is affecting business.
