For religous or no faith, this writing on 'mercy' is a definite read. The author defines 'mercy' as 'the willingness to enter the chaos of others to answer them in their need.' It builds uo... now for the reader to meditate on the need to redefine modernity in the light of 'empires' and the colonization that it spawned in Asia, Africa, Austrilia and the Americas,
