The Library Journal review erroneously says of my Spielberg
The book has too many sneering asides on critics and performers, doesn't give enough detail on individual films, and quotes Look magazine in 1979 (it ceased publication years earlier).
The above statement about Look ceasing publication years before I quoted in my Spielberg bio the revived Look magazine in 1979 is inaccurate. According to Wikipedia,
Hachette Filipacchi Médias brought back Look, The Picture Newsmagazine in February 1979 as a bi-weekly in a slightly smaller size. It lasted only a year.
Please correct the Library Journal Review's inaccurate criticism. Did you know that Library Journal reviews are written by non-professional book critics, usually people whose only qualification is being a voracious reader.
In the past, before I became the author of 20+ books sold on Amazon, I reviewed books for the Los Angeles Daily News and the Chicago Tribune as a freelance journalist. As someone who has panned books, I never respond to a negative review of my own books, per my bio on Wikipedia, unless the review contains false information. A customer reviewed my book, How Crystal Meth is Ravaging Gay America, and claimed the "poor writing" in my book caused him to relapse on crystal methedrine, which is almost impossible to stop using permanently, as I wrote in Tweakers. That was the only time I responded to a reviewer. In a response I posted on Amazon, I told him to stop blaming me for his drug relapse, a common paranoid accusation made by crystal meth users during a psychotic episode created by long-term and continuous use.
This is not the first time an amateur Library Journal reviewer panned one of my books citing information that was factually incorrect. The reviewer's claim that Look magazine went out of business before the quote I attributed to the resurrected version of Look is just the most egregious error of many by the Library Journal.
Publishers Weekly, which employs professional book critics, gave my Spielberg bio a glowing review!
There are four or five different editions of my Spielberg bio. I have to make this correction separately on each edition, a waste of my time!

I choose this quote as my favorite because as an artist everything you create brings out experiences from your life.

I would certainly recommend this book because it is a fascinating book how someone’s religion really affects and impacts their way of thinking and creating amazing things. Their obstacles and hardships relating to his religion inspired him to make the most nominated movies.

I love Steven Spielberg, his work and the man. Frank Sanello did a great job with this book, but I wish Brian J. Jones would write a Spielberg biography.
