Any Way You Spin It

Sometimes you must accept that love doesn’t always show up at your convenience.
Minnie has made mistakes and lots of them. Fresh out of rehab and back in her home town her plan is simple; she needs to make amends to all the people she hurt, especially her children, and get her life back on track. She has no room in her life for men – it was because of men she got in this mess in the first place.
The minute former athlete and current bar owner, Mitch sees Minnie he knows she’s something special. Now all he needs to do is convince her and the whole town that their being together will not undo everything she’s working so hard to achieve.
With all the obstacles to her success can Mitch prove he’s not just one more thing in the way.
If you like long bike rides, picnics by the lake and truffle fries then Any Way You Spin It is for you.

A fun, heartwarming, second chance at love, intriguing series that's just perfect to spend the time reading. Best sequentially, but not necessary.

Any Way You Slice It #1 - Wish I could have read these books in order, but it doesn't matter. A well thought out romance with realistic dialog and characters and an interesting, entertaining plot. Any more would be spoilers. This series is more substantial than a lot of this genre.

Any Way You Fight It #3 - Second chance at love. Another well written, funny romance with interesting characters and an entertaining plot. I can't say more or it would be spoilers. I enjoyed reading this series.

Any Way You Want It #5 - If you enjoy S. Claflin and T. Pedersen, you'll love McDonell, too! It's the first chapter and you're already laughing and rootin' for the good guys. A well written, fun-filled romance, this time with Chloe and Moose. My second story by this author and now I want to read them all. Moose is my favorite male character.

Any Way You Build It #6 - A well-written, fun, exciting, clean romance. I had to finish it in two sittings; work, a four-letter word, interrupted me. It was complete, but I believe there's more to the story. This is the first story I've read by this author, but I've got another one ready to go from Amazon. I asked the author if I could review this book.

Any Way You Spin It #7 - Another second chance. Another well written, heartwarming romance with interesting characters and a realistic plot. None of these books are repeats, but interesting, fun books on their own, just a piece of a larger picture.

Any Way You Like It #8 - Another heartwarming, humorous, intriguing second chance romance in one of my favorite places with some of my favorite characters. This complete series is well written with well developed characters with realistic dialog and no stupid formulas, along with interesting and intriguing storylines. While complete with humor and bad guys, these books are substantial pieces, not fluffy junk. This is my second favorite, which is actually hard to decide on since all the books are favorites! There's also a preview of the book, Something of a Spark.

This inspirational romance pushed all the right buttons for me. Minnie's road back to recovery and healing is one that many people fail at, especially when they have to face preconceived opinions and judgements. Sometimes the harshest critics are one's own family and the hurt that is caused can be devastating. After being given a second chance, Minnie determines to push through for the sake of her children, and learns to find new ways in which to cope. Mitch sees Minnie's inner strength and he is drawn to her bravery, doing everything he can to win her trust and her love. Although this book is part of a series and a number of people from previous novels find their place in this one, it is nevertheless a standalone. It is also well written and the language flows easily, making it enjoyable reading. This is a delightful and clean story, one that will stay in my mind for some time to come. I received a copy of the book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.

Since this is the 7th book in the series, it was nice to revisit old friends from the previous books. I always enjoy the 'ensemble' feel in the Upper Crust stories.
The family dynamics in Minnie's posse were one of the things I enjoyed most about this story. I also liked seeing how Minnie grew into her new life.

Minnie and Mitch were likeable protagonists, and I wanted them to get their HEA. Overall I enjoyed the story, even if the middle felt a bit drawn out and got a little repetitive for my taste.

One of my major problems with "Any Way You Spin It" was that the attraction (especially on Mitch's side) felt mostly superficial - it was mentioned quite often how 'beautiful' or 'pretty' he found Minnie. At least that is what stuck with me.

Not my favourite book in the series, but Minnie may be my favourite heroine so far. :)

Well done on this great sequel from the Upper Crust series. I really enjoyed the way the main characters —Minnie and Mitch related to each other. Although Minnie has had a tricky background, the way in which the social issues around it were handled was with tact and care. The storyline flowed beautifully and I enjoyed the characters mingling with those from past books so comfortably without taking the spotlight from Minnie & Mitch. Terrific series!

Feisty is back!!!!

Minnie finally came back for her sisters wedding but she has a long time to make up and a lot of reassuring with the kids, one thing she wasnt expecting was her neighbor being so different. But he was told more than once to take it slow and finally realized why.. but when minnie had enough with someone something healed.

It was okay. I wanted to like the story, but it felt like everyone was trying to push her in to a relationship when she was saying she didn’t want to do that to her kids. And if Minnie wants to get her life back together why is she letting a man in after a few days of being home? She even had thoughts of leaving with him. It didn’t feel like she was going to keep choosing her kids.

Awesome, hopefully NOT the end

I enjoyed the story of Minnie & Mitch. I hope the author will let us see more of it as it progresses. And also see how the other couples are progressing as well.

The best

This book was great it had a lot of depth and thought into people's feelings and I loved how she interacted with her children after all of the trials that she'd gone through and the bridge that she made to be back in their lives it was an awesome story.

I purchased Any Way You Build It by Monique McDonell August 15, 2017 and this review was given freely.
Sarah returns to claim the home deeded to her by her Aunt. The sexy, sweet, and mysterious neighbor Todd helps Sarah and her kids settle in bringing love and happiness while Todd hides his secret. Denial, attraction, humor, tragedy, and a caring town make this a complex and heartwarming novel.
