5 Stars! Where do I even begin with this book. how about I just say with a few serious moments, there wasn't one part of this book that I found myself laughing out loud. This is definitely one book that is above the humor category. The times I read it while at home, at work on lunch, sitting in the park or in my car for a break, the day I would have the author gave me a reminder with a laugh that it could be worse compared to how her days were in each chapter.

I do highly recommend this book to read. The author is for sure a ninja on getting you to laugh with a feel good mood. I enjoyed how each chapter pulled you in for what was to come and what came of it. Without telling to much of it, I share a snippet part of the book with a coworker by saying,"well if you thought your day was bad you could be or this may happen..." then I let them know to get this book. I waiting to hear back from my supervisor as I believe this book would make good for those team training sessions different companies have to unify or work how to balance customer care. I see this in places like that. Thank you KC Hilton for an amazing hilarious "ducking" book 😂😊😉 (I meant to put D and not F lol - you'll understand when you read the book). Everyone check this book out seriously, you'll love it.

It's about time Hilton put out another book.

I struggled with rating this at 4 or 5 stars. Im going to give it a 4.5 though just because of a few continuity issues.

Overall, I really enjoyed this! Although I've never worked in the car industry, I have worked with people for practically all my working life and there are parts of my mind that are just as crazy as Hilton's. Girl, I get you. I got your back.

Some of the stories are so insane that it's hard to even think this could be based on real life. It makes me want to share her bottle of wine and chocolate with her, while sobcrying onto the table. Who the hell even are these people? And what the fuck are their lives like??

I feel like there should be a joint blog we do where we just hate on the public. We'd be fucking famous.

Hilton, when's the next book??

Although I did feel a little naughty reading this in public while my husband was having surgery (mainly due to the badass title) I thoroughly enjoyed it! I literally laughed out loud in the waiting room; people were probably thinking I was a lunatic but no shame in my game! I couldn't wait to get home to enjoy myself a glass of wine, some chocolate and figure out what Julia was up to next! I cant help but wonder, where can I find myself one of these magical toilets? Maybe I will do a google search after this (;

I've read several books from this author and I cant wait to read more hopefully in the near future!

Cars, Coffee, and a Badass Ninja Toilet... the question is, is this book crazy enough to live up to a title like that? The answer is yes, it does. And it is. Crazy. But in a good way.

This is K.C. Hilton's first book for adults, and it chronicles the life and times of Julia Karr who co-owns a used car lot with her husband. What we get here is a story-by-story, chapter-by-chapter account of all the insane encounters Julia has everyday as she tries to serve customers who probably don't deserve her service. Bitchy lowlifes, angry old men, thieves, weirdos... snakes... Julia has seen it all. We follow her story as she fights to stay composed amid the calamity, and as she obsesses over the technology of a particular toilet that has the badass ninja capability to flush golf-balls with no backup.

I have read many of Hilton's other books, which were all fantasy, but I was unsure if this one would be totally for me. I decided to read it regardless and I'm glad I did. This is actually my favorite book K.C. has written, and I could not be more proud of her.

Badass Ninja Toilet is a hysterical, wild, and relatable story inspired by K.C. Hilton's actual experience as a used car-lot owner. It's clear that Hilton has a personal connection with the material. She is in her story-telling groove here and writes like a pro. Her narrative voice is distinctive and natural, while her writing style is breezy and fun. It was easy to get wrapped up in the ludicrous events of the story. I was laughing at every turn because, as someone who has worked in customer service, I knew exactly what Julia was feeling. These things seem too insane to happen in real-life, but they do happen. And that's what makes this book so relatable.

My only nit-pick is that cars stress me out and so do car lots. There were many times during my reading that I started thinking about the check-engine light on my car and would begin feeling stressed. Cars are just a pain in the ass. That nit-pick isn't the book's fault though. However, there are some repetitions throughout that bothered me a little, like the amount of happy-dances Julia does. Otherwise, I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and it gave me a lot of laughs... like the snake scene. That was gold.

Overall, Cars, Coffee, and a Badass Ninja Toilet comes recommended to anyone who has worked in customer service and has the scars to prove it.

Where to start?! Julia lives a very stressful life! I can see why she turns to wine and chocolate. I think she is a bit off her rocker at times and is absolutely hilarious. I have worked in retail and have dealt with some crazy customers but nothing like some of these! If you want to laugh until you cry and don't mind a potty mouth it is a must read! I cannot wait to see what happens in the upcoming series!

3.5 Cranky Stars

I want to preface this review by saying yes, I did have a few laughs at the expense of Julia and her life at the car lot. Kudos to her dealing with such horrible people because well my people skills are non-existent. I have no patience.

Julia Karr runs a used car lot with her husband Romeo. She does the everyday running, selling and repairing of the vehicles on their lot. She is constantly dealing with the injustice of being female in a male dominated field. She also loves to email companies with her ideas, Google and wine. When she becomes fixated on remodeling her bathroom nothing will stop her and even falls in love with a toilet so awesome you can flush golf balls down it and it won’t clog.

I want to say I adored this book but sadly I guess for me it wasn’t what I expected. I laughed sure but her constant need to Google which I know we are guilty of over took the book at times. All those emails to companies was a bit much. Basically, Julia was a neurotic mess. If you are looking for a book with no real background just a quirky story and the day to day account of a car dealer then this is your book. I could relate with Julia on the whole getting fixated on something at times. All in all a quick funny read for the right person to enjoy.

Typically, I wouldn't even give a book like this a chance due to the fact that the cover doesn't appeal to me. However, since I have reviewed the author's other titles (The Magic of Finkleton, Return to Finkleton, 90 Miles to Freedom, & My Name is Rapunzel), I wanted to at least give this book a chance. Plus, having the word "coffee" in the title will always get my attention.

What did I think of the book?

Well, I liked it quite bit. To tell you the truth, I haven't been feeling my best lately and reading the book has lifted my spirits. Overall, Cars, Coffee, and a Badass Ninja Toilet is a well-written, hilarious novel. After reading this, I've realized that I never want to be a used car dealer, as there's just too much stress involved.

If you're looking for a funny read for 2018, then I recommend this book.

Amazing

This book is so real when working with the public. K.C. Hilton puts in to words the things we think. I found myself laughing out loud several times. I love her raw honesty. I would recommend this book to anyone who needs a good laugh!!

Romeo and Julia Karr are married. They own a used car lot, but he is also an electrician because he doesn't want to be a plumber. Also because as busy as the car lot is, they also need another source of income. I have to think that if they worked together 24/7 they would drive each other nuts. Well, more nuts than Julia already is. She is a loveable nut though.
Told through short chapters, suitable to stand up comedy, this gives the reader a true view of what life is like in the business of selling used cars and DIY remodeling.
Let's see if it makes you want to run out and buy golf balls! I could imagine taking them to open houses, rather than attempt this at home.

Be prepared to laugh.

Hooray for Ninja Powers!

After thirty years selling saddles and feed, I surely can relate to dealing with Julia's kind of stupid people. The few customers that come in who are decisive and pleasant seem to be disappearing, as time goes by. It was so much fun to see the retail world from a car lot, there are many similarities in the way business is done...thanks for the laughs, and I am groaning with these characters when the stupid is overwhelming! This is the first K.C.Hilton book I've read, but it surely won't be the last!

If you are looking for a strong female narrator, with a strong sense of humor, look no further. Cars, Coffee, and a Badass Ninja Toilet, is a realistic fiction based on a burned-out car saleswoman, who doesn't take crap from anyone who dares to give it. She's funny, witty and even seemingly lightly manic at times, but it makes for a good read.

It’s a fun read, I’m giving 3 stars because it gets redundant. & I was a little annoyed, that a self proclaimed “badass ninja warrior princess” was afraid of a snake that someone else had in their jacket 😒. I would have liked to see the character stay calm, like a ninja... but it is a cute book, she makes me think of Lucile Ball

I really wanted to love this book. There were some funny parts and it’s interesting how she deals with the publuc. However while it was well written I felt like I was reading someone’s journal.

A quick and easy read with a lot of humor in it I'm not sure why it took me so long to get around to this book but I've finally read it.
