Almeno spero.
Melanie Marchande is the New York Times bestselling author of His Secretary: Undone. She loves sarcastic alpha billionaires, sassy curvy heroines, and pizza. Not necessarily in that order.

I received an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for my honest review. This is the second book in a series; it is best to read these in sequence.
Meg and Adrian are back--married this time. Adrian is a billionaire, owner of Risinger Industries, and taking a break from his CEO duties having resigned a few months back. He's also a best selling erotica author whose books were a CEO/Secretary love affair based on Adrian's own infatuation with his admin, Meg.
They had heat and clashes in book one, but resolved all of that to become Mr. and Mrs. On a whirlwind Hawaii vacation. Coming home to real life has been...stressful, however. Adrian isn't used to sharing his personal space, and spend hours upon hours writing, and ignoring Meg.
Meg is confronted by her father, from whom she had been estranged, regarding the health of her love affair/marriage, and she doesn't want to upset Adrian by discussing this advent in her life. He knows she's keeping secrets, and he's frustrated--and afraid she is getting too isolated from him.
Plus, one of Adrian's former (male) employees is suing him for harassment and wrongful termination, and insinuating that Meg is a "beard" because she's voluptuous and Adrian could clearly have a supermodel...
So, there's a lot of conflict and not a lot of communication. We get some fun flashback insight, but the sexytimes are too few--which could be said of many marriages, perhaps. This is a "growing" book where the initial connecting passions have cooled and the"getting on with life together" phase is in full effect--which is not as exciting as a subject matter, but it's still very real and approachable. I liked the way Meg and Adrian came together to work on their relationship, and how they made their lives more complete as a team. There is a clear resolution and a happy happy ending.
I totally liked how this book went back 5 years ago and told snippets of their relationship.. or shall I say animosity in their boss/employee relationship. It also told the story in the preset and how as newlyweds things are not all that blissful when you don't communicate. I wanted more of the animosity as those were much more fun to read. cute series
Continuo a sperare... Consigliato!!!
I just finished this book and it totally surprised me, I thought this would be a look into the future of these characters and even though it is, it also provides a dual POV and so many scenes from their past 5 years.
It was great, the first book was all fun and hot but this one had so much more to offer, finally we understand more about Adrian and where he comes from and his insecurities and it’s not longer a shallow story about a plus size girl in love with her bulky but so much more.
I loved these characters and even though at times I wanted to smack some sense into them like a good Latina mom I loved they learned from their past and mistakes.

Oh my word! That was quite the Adrian-Meghan fix, more than what I was expecting. Love, hot sex and drama... His Secretary: Undone, a part of A Novel Deception series, had it all and I loved every moment of it!
A Novel Deception series installments have very little connection to one another, except for the fact that one of the protagonists is a writer, who now entangled in a ‘deception’ of sort, which comes back to bite his/her a$$ in some way. Meg and Ryn (LOVE it how she calls him) might or might grace those installments with their short appearances. So you can read most of these stories as stand-alones, but for the ones that exclusively features Meg and Ryn. When I heard that Melanie wants to keep writing about this couple, I was over the moon. I’ve been waiting ever since. You should definitely start with His Secretary: Undone. There’s also a short novella in between called A Valentine for His Secretary. After that, comes His Secretary: Unveiled. In that precise order.
When we were introduced to our Hot Billionaire Boss, Adrian Risinger and his Sassy and Curvy (but harassed) Secretary, Meghan in Undone, it seemed romance was the furthest thing from her mind. It was actually the blurb that caught my attentions where there might’ve been the mention of throwing ashtray towards the a$$hole boss (every secretary’s dream that never comes true... trust me I still can’t get past that blurb without laughing, hence the mention again). Yet, things change irrevocably when Meghan and Adrian are once caught up in the heat of the moment where their mutual attraction is finally revealed. After that, the story goes to tell us how it blossomed into something real and boy, the confession of how the Hot Boss had actually been panting after his Secretary all these times!
Their banters were full of bite and sarcasm, more like foreplay than anything malicious... There was also some drama regarding Adrian’s erotica writing (oh yah, you read it correct), where he had to turn to Meghan to sort it out. Obviously, since it’s always her cleaning up his mess.
In His Secretary: Unveiled, Adrian openly admits that he’s nothing without Meghan. He never has been, he doesn’t believe he ever will be. Meghan is his world. *sighs*
This novella takes off almost right after Undone, where we find that Meg and Ryn have already been married for sometimes now. Again, have to emphasize just how much I LOVE this couple. Their banters are still full of wit and intelligence, of intensity and love. But the trust part is questioned when, 6 months into their marriage, storm clouds start rolling in. An ex-employee of Adrian’s company, a veritable scumbag (story in Undone) who was fired by him, returns to harass Adrian with false accusations. With that, some issues of their relationship (I’d say very realistically) are put to test. Will they survive this calamity together as a team or will the past hurt and confusions rule their judgments?
Honestly, I had no doubt about Meg and Adrian cruising through as the winner in love. Not because there’s supposed to be a mandatory HEA in every romance but it’s just the way they are. They are a team, have always been. I won’t go into further discussion but let me just hint on the good parts. It wasn’t even the hot sex, of which we see precious little. Not really complaining because I was engrossed in the latest dilemma.
These novellas are written from first person POV, and so far, we’ve had Meghan’s. This time, alongside Meghan’s, there was Adrian’s as well. And that was the best part for me. His love, passion and obsession over one woman were pouring through these pages. Though the world deemed her unsuitable for him because she’s overweight and ‘not the type’ his hot a$$ should be seen with, Adrian had no doubt who he wanted and why. For 5 years as his secretary, he’d made her life hell because he didn’t know how to express his feelings. Couldn’t even imagine her feeling anything other than annoyance and resentment where he’s concerned. In fact, he’s still not sure why she loves him the way she does. But Adrian loves her too, always has and can’t imagine his life without her. And he’s not ashamed confessing any of it, because that’s his Meg.
There’s also the part where Adrian’s vulnerability is palpable as he imagines this recent trouble tearing them apart at some point, and his growing fear of living without Meghan. IMO, simply nothing gets better than these heartfelt confessions. Also enjoyed the flashbacks that helped me understand their relationship over the years and just how long a way they’ve travelled to be where they are today. 4.25 stars and recommended.

I don’t like books about billionaires, but this book Is amazing I love their story ,Their Romance, the bickering, I just need one more book About them I need to See more of them Working together and having babies please give us another book 🙏🏻
Didn't like this one as well as the first one. I am not a fan of the flashback and this book had a lot of them. Yes they added to the story explaining much of who Adrian and Natalie and their thought processes, but I just don't care for being bounced around the time line so much. Then there was the "meat" of the story. I found it a bit too far fetched for me.
It was well done enough for me to read to the end, but too many eye-rolls.
I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
After I fall in love with a couple in a book, I absolutely love reading sequels that tell me about their life together. When I saw that Melanie Marchande had written a second book to His Secretary Undone, I just had to grab it. Adrian and Meg deserved to have their story continued and I needed to know more about this intriguing couple. In His Secretary: Unveiled, Ms. Marchande gave me so much more than I even knew I needed. In addition to seeing how they navigated the sometimes difficult early days of marriage, we were also able to finally see how these two first met and what led up to their eventual love. All of this provided more laughter, drama and passion that I could have hoped for and resulted in a book that I could not put down.
His Secretary: Unveiled picks up just as Adrian and Meg are getting married. Their love jumped off the pages and reminded me why I loved this couple. The sex scenes were unbelievably hot and showcased the limitless passion these two have for each other. But being married doesn’t always mean smooth sailing and we saw Adrian and Meg trying to swim some through some very murky waters. A problem from the past rears its ugly head and how Adrian and Meg deal with this problem causes dissension in their own relationship.
Ms. Marchande did an excellent job showing how simple misunderstandings can so negatively impact a couple no matter how much they love each other. Adrian and Meg were so busy trying to protect the other from any further pain that they ended up closing each other out. The difficulties they had were so realistic and authentic that it was easy to forget that this was a fictional story. My heart hurt for both Adrian and Meg as they grappled with their insecurities and fears.
His Secretary: Unveiled also gave the reader flashbacks into Adrian and Meg’s early days and these glimpses helped me better understand both of them. Their emotions and actions made more sense now that I knew what led them to their current situation.
Ms. Marchande’s writing style added so much depth to an already compelling story. I loved how she inserted humor into the story without detracting from the drama. Real life is filled with laughter and tears and that is exactly what I experienced while reading.
Now that I’ve read two books about Adrian and Meg, I find myself obsessing about them. I think the only thing that will satisfy me at this point is another book where maybe they are having a baby. I am already thinking about creative sexual positions needed during pregnancy and how funny Adrian will be when dealing with dirty diapers. Hint, hint Ms. Marchande.
***A gifted copy was provided by the author for an honest review***
What a great follow up to Meg and Adrian’s story. We met them in “His Secretary –Undone” and this is the follow up.
In this story we pick up as Meg and Adrian getting married. They are in love , happy and Adrian is wanting to tie Meg to him so she can never leave him, The sex is so hot, the emotions so strong as in book one and they are just as intense as in book one.
They go thru a honeymoon period and then the book has flashbacks to how they really met about 5-6 years ago and how Meg was really introduced to Adrian and how Adrian sort of , well really was a TERROR and went thru secretaries. Also, we find out he is suffering from writer’s block and that they want him back at his father’s corporation to run the place but deep down he is terrified to be there because he is afraid it will suck his “soul” but he doesn’t share that with Meg.
Meanwhile, Meg is going thru something so shocking in her personal life, she is about to tell Adrian but something from their shared past comes back and drags them unknown hell. Meg is busy trying to protect Adrian and puts her personal problems on the back burner. Other things come up and before too long , their married life is suffering due to the actions of one horrible creep from their past and the twists and turns keep this a great page turner. Meg and Adrian are a personal favorite of mine and I was rooting for them all the way. Do they stick it out? Does Meg’s stupid, hateful mom make an appearance? You just have to read the book to find out? I can promise you the author has written a beautiful story about how two people who have matured and grown from book one to book two , all the while with a set of new problems and how they handled it shows real strength and OMG, the sex, the erotic , naughty sex between the characters is Phenom. I just have to point that out. So if you are looking for a great book to read , then here is one that I highly recommend. Now, we need a book 3 so we can see Meg and Adrian with a baby :-)
Wow! Adrian has finally realized that Meghan is who he wants to spend the rest of his life with because when she walked through the door of his office over five years ago he knew that she was it even though he nor she wanted to admit they were soul mates they were both so busy trying not to be a couple they wasted so much time but once they came together at the book convention they couldn't keep their hands off each other when Adrian took her to Hawaii and he walked in the downpour of a hurricane to buy her an engagement ring even though everything was closed he found a pawn shop that had a beautiful antique ring that he knew Meghan would love and when he came back to the hotel soaked and proposed marriage and she accepted that was special surprise but now he has surprised her once again with a secret wedding in Hawaii and she is blown away just the two of them and he is just as blown away you can feel the happiness that they feel for each other and the honeymoon is so sweet he is everything she wanted him to be and he wanted to be everything she wanted but unfortunately they had to come home and they are quite happy but you know their life is not that simple because Mike Morgan has come back swinging B.S. (oh you remember Mike don't you the jerk who got fired for sexual harassment) well he can't get a job and Meghan's dad has moved to town and he did one smart thing but he takes up where her mother left off with Meghan and Adrian and she doesn't want to tell him what is going on because he has so much on his mind with the book and a supposed offer of a job seems that everything is hitting the fan and their upset and fighting but no one can come between them but them. This a wonderful book. I love reading Adrian's point of view in this book since we had Meghan's in the first one. I give it a 10 and recommend as a good read. I hope this is not the last for Adrian and Meg Risinger. For Adult Readers.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review This is so hot! You will want to have the baking soda handy to put the fire out with. Wow! Melanie Marchande, you have done it again! The story of Meg and Adrian continues as they tell us more of where their relationship is headed. As they let us in on their thoughts of today, they also provide flashbacks along the way, giving us a more in depth view of what has brought them together, and where they are now. The book is narrated by both Meg and Adrian, giving us both of their point of views. Melanie Marchande has an extraordinary way of giving such a vibrant life to her characters. She allows us to delve into their minds and hearts, giving us the illusion that we know them inside out. Even though her books are standalones, and they are all complete, they also seem to never end, giving us a window to continue watching the characters develop and mature from one book to another. I love her writing style, and the characters she has developed. It’s like reading the old classics (like “Little house on the prairies”), where each episode is simply a continuation of their lives, only with a very erotic twist to it, and today’s era. Love her books and this one is no exception.
This story takes place after His Secretary: Undone but I’m not sure if you really have to read that first; however, I think you should. It’s a fantastic book and really helps set the scene for this one.
While this story starts where Undone ends it also goes back and forth between present day and the past. You get to know how Meg came to be Adrian’s secretary and many other details that weren’t in the first book. I really like that this story has alternating POVs so we get to hear Adrian’s thoughts.
This story gets a bit intense as Meg and Adrian each have some personal stuff going on that threatens to derail their relationship.
I love Melanie Marchande’s writing style. Her books are fast paced and funny and sexy. As far as I’m concerned she has another hit on her hands with this book.
Warning – this book does contain coarse language and adult subject matter. If liberal use of the f-word and sexy time offends you, you might want to pass it up. Though if you do, you’ll be missing out on a really great story!
I received an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review but I also purchased a copy because I loved it so much.
I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. If you have not read book 1 His Secretary:unveiled...read it first so you know the story that book 2 is talking about. I love this book because it only answers so many questions i had about Meg and Adrian's background growing up that makes them what they are today. What they are the people they are, the way they are. I will warn you it goes from present day (picks up from where book 1 ends) and goes back in time to let us see these 2 characters as they are growing up.
This book is so steamy hot. The sex scenes in the book will melt your panties off. It is like they do not have a low speed they go from 0 to 200. No one is complaining in my house.
The book is not predictable for me. What i mean by that is many times I know what is going to happen in a book before it is over. That is not what happens in Melanie Marchande's books. She always gives you just enough that you think you know but you end up finding out something else.
I enjoyed this book. In fact before reading this one I re-read book one just so that it was like one big book.
**I received an ARC for this story in exchange for an honest review This story takes place just as His Secretary: Undone ends and spans several months into Adrian and Meg's lives together. It also flashes back to their initial meeting and other significant points in their 5 year relationship. While the first book is fast and hawt, this one focuses on their relationship after the "I dos". With Adrian no longer a CEO of a company, he starts folding into his own world, basically leaving Meg to the side when they should be adjusting to being a real couple. Will they be able to work through their real problems? Since I've come to love this author's funny stories with strong female characters, this story was on my must reads and auto-buy. However, this one was a bit different from the ones I've read so far. I don't usually read too many stories that take place after the couple gets their HEA, but I'm glad I read this one. The author uses the spark each character has in the first book to show you how misunderstandings can really complicate things and allow them to find each other again. I can't wait for her next book.
I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. I have been reading about Meg and Adrian since the beginning and I just fall more in love with them each and every time I read something about them. This book is pretty intense but it gives you an in depth look at their relationship. We read about them opening up to one another and it gives us a look at just how deeply they feel for each other. I am so impressed by Adrian in this book as he puts his love and respect for Meg on the line – even though it is scary for him and he thinks he may be left hanging. I really liked how we read the different points of view as I believe I learned more about their deep feelings for one another than ever before. I hope that we get a peek into their lives in future books/novellas . Melanie Marchande’s imaginative writing style will certainly hold some surprises, if she chooses to write them – I personally can’t wait to read it!
I received this book as a gift from Melanie. I absolutely loved this book!!! Melanie has another winner on her hands. When we first met Adrian and Meg in His Secretary: Undone, I never figured they would end up together. I am so glad they did! We get many flashbacks to that book and you probably think, I don't need to read that book. You really do need to, so you can get the entire story of Adrian and Meg. It will make you fall that much more in love with their characters. Sure, Adrian is a jerk a lot of the time, but you won't be able to dispute how much he loves Meg or her love for him. It may take years for them to finally get together, but we get to witness their wedding twice. Totally different experiences, but fabulous none the less. They go through some trying times and I had a few doubts as to them surviving as a couple. I'm so glad I was wrong. I highly recommend this book.
Meg and Adrian are back and wedding bells and a lawsuit and memories from the past . Meg who has never liked her looks don't realize that Adrian has always like the woman Meg is and has been drawn to women who have curves . Meg who has always seen Adrian but never dared thought he wanted her . in the five years they have worked together to ever be more . Also why is her dad trying to make her not want Adrian . and why is Mike who was the workplace idiot aka scumbag of a man making a idiotic lawsuit against Adrian . and what will happen to their relationship due to the lawsuit will it make them be closer together or farther apart and will Meg tell Adrian what she has been dealing with as well or keep it from him to save him her stress and her burden . This was a ARC review its super late but finally got it done love to read and love Melanie's books hope to read more on these two in the future .
