Pyro has been incorporated as Part III of "Born of Fire".
Will she give up her greatest secret for the greatest opportunity?
Saxony has barely stepped off the plane from her life-altering summer in Venice when friction in her family rises up to meet her. Someone seems to be lighting fires in Saltford, and Saxony's little brother Jack suspects her - thing is, she's never told anyone that she's a fire magus, so where is Jack getting this idea from?
When she calls Basil Chaplin, the number on the business card Enzo gave her in the previous story 'Born of Fire', she learns that he runs a secret school for magi. It's the perfect next step for Saxony, and she wants nothing more than to visit Basil's school and learn more. But there's a catch...
She has to tell her family what she is, and she has no idea how they're going to take it.

I absolutely loved that Knorr wrote a novella on Saxony telling her family it was literally just ugh.. perfect.
And Raf in these one literally just warmed my heart so much. We also got to meet Basil who is going to help Saxony with her powers. I also loved how real the families reactions to her powers were because obviously if this was real life and someone, even someone you loved, told you that they had superpowers the first feeling that would arise is disbelief. And Saxony's family really struggle to grasp this at first. Which I feel would happen.
The only thing I will say however is that I really wanted more Raf which is a personal request and I know it would be hard to as he is still in Venice but ya know.
Okay, THIS little novella was twice as much better than the Born of Fire book it stems from. I would have felt SOOO much better about Born of Fire if this had just been the last 8 chapters! I'm much happier and feel like there is more resolved with this addition.
Saxony arrives off the plane to her family and her younger brother is a complete jerk to her. She has no idea why. It only gets worse over the next few days. When she finally calls Basil Chaplin, she finds out about his school but explains that she must tell her family everything. That's when things start to make sense, she then flies to the UK with her dad and learns about her abilities and meets other Fire Mages. There is mild dude drama as well but I feel that must be a set up for something else...
It totally did its job in getting me excited and transitioning her from this book to the next series, setting me up for her series after the elementals have their Epic episode. Saxony is pretty good and I was a little irritated with how she took her brother's accusations but I'm glad she showed the restraint.
I'm just giddy over the idea of this setup. I love that each girl went to a different country for the summer, you almost never read about study abroad unless you're looking for it. So I like that they do this, it's an adventure in itself and to be honest it made me miss my friends.
This book is full of action and adventure. Saxony has returned home and now arson cases have begun happening in town. Her brother Jack has a new empathy power and can tell that she has fire and is keeping a secret so he suspects her for setting them. Saxony meets someone who says they know who is setting the fires but does not want to go to the police, they want to stop them their self. She finds she is not the only fire mage in her town and she meets her future teacher at the school for fire mages and tells her family. Get this book and follow the adventure and the story of the arsonist.
Pyro (Elemental Origins 2.5), my eleventh read from author A.L. Knorr. WOW! Incredible read! Now I’ve been given an Audible copy of this book, included in Born of Fire, & am voluntarily reading & reviewing it. Gabra Zachman’s talented narration adds to the well-written book's enjoyment. Extremely well written. I’ll be reading more from this author! Better yet this is the third book in a multi-book series that I look forward to reading. Next up, Born of Earth! (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
I loved learning about the experiences Saxony had with her fire mage abilities following her return home from Italy. And the opportunity she has to train with an expert to show her what she could learn in the future. I’m excited to learn more about Saxony’s training. We also got a side story about Chad and how he came to meet the expert mage as he was just beginning to set up his training school. Awesome reads!
Pyro: A Fire Novella (The Elemental Origins Series)
OMG 😱 I really wish I read the books from the elemental series in order with each separate series from each heroine. It would of made more sense, but I didn’t think this book was before that series, anyways, it’s okay, I get to catch up on Saxony…. So exciting….I didn’t realize that Saxony knew Gage and Ryan, now I know why… well better get on reading the next book…
This is a great story of how a young girl comes to terms with her firestarter ability. It's a quick read, mostly revolving around family acceptance. Characters are well written so you feel you know them by the end of the book. Can't wait to read the next book about Saxony as s h e learns what she do with her power.
Saxony comes home after getting her fire inside from a dieing boy. Her world changes and needs to find help with her new powers. It was a good short book but a little slow in the middle of the book. I also had stuff to do in my life and finally came back and finished the book. I'm glad Saxony was able to have a support group from her family and able to find a place to help with her new powers.
This sequel to Born of Fire was very well-written. It wastes no time in getting to the relevant plot points and it doesn't waste any time in getting to the part where Saxony tells her family about her secret. There are plenty of interesting plot points such as an arson mystery and of course the mage academy, which is related to the business card that Saxony received in the previous novel.
It is a cute, short read that i have read in one day.. it shows how will Saxony' s parents react to a news that she is a fire amagus... i loveer her familly they are all understood her and they supported her.. Read it after Born of fire it commes like missing chapters in book born of fire! 🥰❤️🔥❤️🔥

I love spending time reading the exciting novels of A.L.Knorr. The stories are never predictable... and too good to put down. A great tiny addition to the Saxony series. Bravo
Nothing like some family drama to cause some stress. This city seams to be a supernatural hotbed. I love how this series is building. I am anticipating some really big bad in the future!
I have read all the books in this Elemantal series and love them all. I truly enjoyed Saxony's story. All the characters in A.L. Knorr's books are very well developed and the storylines are amazing. I recommend to all who love the paranormal.
Both stories expose a little more about the fire mages and their world. A couple of new characters and some reveals about Saltford. Looking forward to more about the elementals.
If you haven't read any of the elemental books and you are thinking about it DO IT!!!! You won't regret it. I am so extremely happy I came across this author because she is now one of my favorites!! This is yet another book I couldn't put down.
This was a pretty good story about Saxony, we definitely learned more about her fire and that there are others. I think the young people in the books act too much like adults though so it doesn't always seem believable and Saxony's
I love this series. This Novellas, is what happens when Saxony gets home from Italy. A.L. Knorr is a wonderful writer who weaves tales that pull you in and make you wonder what is going to happen next
This book was a great addition to Saxony's story! I can't wait to read the other girls story!! See how all their summers turned out! This is an exciting series! I love that there are many more to the series! Saxony had quite the emotional coming home experience.
Very lovely novella! It gives a wondeful sneek peek into what Saxonys life will look like in the near future, good and scary. I'm not sure if I am a huge fan of the brothers (yes, both), but the focus on family is really heartwarming to experience!
I know they are all going to be powerful but Saxony is just a tad too Mary Sue for me. That said, her character was a lot better in this novella, partly because romance had a lesser role.
I have read many books by A L Knorr. She writes in an easy to read style and has great proofreaders. I don't find grammatical errors, which makes me want to read more.
This novelette made me love Saxony. She wasn't my favorite of the girls, even though I find she is more like me than the rest. I do love the world that AL Knorr has built for this series and I can't wait to finish the elemental series.
