I am soooo excited about this book! The things I have planned for this series are making me anxious. *insert girly giggle* The first book was all about Caleb and Maggie's relationship and coming into their love and book two will not be lacking in that but, it will also be about Maggie coming into her own as an Ace. She is more important that anyone ever imagined and the people they meet, the situations they get into, the decisions that are forced on them and the people who betray them will, hopefully, blow your mind and make you hopping mad and utterly soaked in sweetness at the same time.
I will tell you that if you are anxious to see if the imprints are coming back....definately stay tuned :)
Thank you readers for all the comments and reviews and posts for Significance. The response was overwhelming and I sincerely hope you enjoy the next installment of the series.

Best Wishes and Happy Endings,
Shelly Crane

Warning: This is NOT a book for people who are opposed to love, the concept of soul mates, Valentine's Day or who are currently single.

Okay, jokes. I'm single and I read it and survived. But it will make you sigh.
And then tear up.
And wish you were Maggie.
And that you had a Caleb.

Because their relationship is just too darn perfect.

Note: This book is best read in private. Because grinning to yourself, laughing at intervals and then yelling out, "LEAVE THEM ALONE CAN'T YOU PEOPLE SEE THEY'RE IN LOVE?!" at random intervals may alienate close friends, family members or potential neighbours.

I'm not really even sure what to say. I loved the first book and Accordance was even better. The love story was sweet and passionate. I love Maggie and Caleb how devoted they are to each other. I will admit I want Bish to get his day. He deserves it. All in all this was a fantastic book. I don't do reviews often but I just wanted to say what a great series this. Shelly is a great author and has a wonderfully tender heart to write such devotion.

This book didn't really advance the story much. Bish continued to be annoying, as did Kyle. The supporting characters in the series seem to be there especially to say inane, spiteful, or ignorant things so that the main characters can stroke each other and whisper sweet nothings.

Sometimes the actions were inconsistent, like with the double standard with Jen/Bish and Kyle/Lynne - if Lynne's future could be changed by Maggie's actions, then why couldn't Bish/Jen's? That made no sense, and seems to be there simply to up the drama/tension without actually adding anything to the story over all.

All the real action happened at the end, which was great when it happened, but made the first part of the book feel long and dull.

I will keep reading the series, because I am invested now, and I want to see it through, but I am going to have to take a break because the grammatical and spelling mistakes from the first book continued in this one, and my brain needs a break!

After the first novel I was into the story, a little more on the YA side for me but still I was intrigued by the world of Aces and was loving Caleb. All that good stuff. But then....I started reading Accordance.

And, contrary to the many 5 star reviews, which btw I'm still trying to figure out, this one was uber slow. Actually, it was uber everything - the pacing was painful with the relationship and on the action front. It was dead in the water or overstuffed with filler scenes that didn't add to the momentum of the plot. I was skippin pages like my life depended on it. This was almost reminiscent of Charlaine Harris' last Sookie book minus the checking of the emails.

This book was okay, but there were things that irked me. I feel like the author was trying absolutely too hard to show how much the main character Maggie and her "Significant" Caleb love each other. I understand that the "imprint" that they have makes them this way but its reiterated too much. We know that they calm each other and so on but hammering it into our heads every other second is annoying! This book unlike the first was very predictable. There were new characters that were introduced that seemed pretty poinless and were only put there to make it seem like Maggie and Caleb have so many problems when things are not even a big deal. I am hoping the next book is better because this one sort of dissapointed me. The first book was good but the second is making me think again.

I'm only about halfway through but ooohmyfriggingod Bish and Jen need to imprint already! it's driving me nuts! If they turn out not to be significants I'm gonna find a way to print this series off my iPad and burn them for justice (and maybe a little revenge)
....
72% So close! so effing close! I'm still rooting for team Jish. I don't care how long it takes if they don't end up together I'm writing a spinoff. jeesh!
...
Well that was the best freakin roller coaster of a book ive read in a while.
Here's my special little scenario on how to explain this book..
Pretend your standing a ways away from the edge of a cliff and then someone puts a blindfold on you and you start walking forward. You know soon enough your going to reach the edge of the cliff and plummet to your death( or paralization depending on how high your imaginative cliff is) all I'd personally be thinking is " ohcrapohcrapohcrap" this may vary depending on your personality. Then all of the sudden your all time favorite candy bar appears in your hand and then your favorite song starts playing. "You start thinking Wow life is good I gots me my fav candy bar I'm jammin out to the best song ever." Even though you know the cliffs edge could be steps away your feeling pretty good Eh, you lived a good life right? Suddenly you finish your candy bar and the song ends and the "ohcrap" feeling comes back for a few tentative steps. BAM! Another candy bar appears and another great song starts playing "Yaaay! All is right with the world:)" This vicious emotionally draining cycle repeats it's self until your mid way finished with another yummy candy bar and you fall off the edge and flail to your death. But wait! You manage to latch onto a thick unsteady root and there you will hang until spring 2012. Best part? You dropped your unfinished candy bar. Have a nice wait:)

That's my long winded way of saying this book fills you with happy and love then rips it away then refills you to the very top just to suck you dry again until the very end. Its frickin awesome.
Only losing one star because I prefer more action and because Jish has to wait longer for their happy ending. As Maggie would say, "Boo."

He smiled graciously and pressed his nose and cheek to mine with a hand on my jaw. “I'm so in love with you.”

Shelly Crane has done it again and knocked out ANOTHER fantastic novel. Significance was the first book in the series and it literally blew me away and now Accordance; the second book in the series has left me lost for words because of how awesome it was.

Accordance starts where Significance finishes and from the start you’re thrown into Maggie’s and Caleb’s wonderful but dangerous life. Their still trying to get to know on another and even though their completely in love, they are still trying to take steps that a normal couple would take. Like going to a club, going for dinner and wondering about their relationship going to the next level. They are that much stronger as a couple in this book because they finally come into their abilities and it was truly wonderful to watch them explore and test their new abilities. It’s honestly a joy to read about these two and I feel closer to them more than ever.

What I enjoyed more about this book was we had a lot more interaction from the secondary characters like Kyle & Jen. I really enjoyed finding more about them and watching their journeys develop. I was absolutely thrilled for Kyle and Lynne, it wasn’t something I expected so it was a nice surprise but what I loved most was Bish and Jen’s story. How heart-breaking! I’ll be honest I don’t really care for Bish all that much, he annoyed me through out this book, being so over protective of Maggie but boy, do I want a happy ending for him. Shelly please give this boy a happy ending!

The story its self is as dangerous as ever and with new threats popping up all over the place Maggie and Caleb sure have their work cut out for them. I can not wait to see what happens next because talk about a cliff-hanger! May 2012 cannot come quick enough.

A huge thank you to Shelly Crane for giving me the opportunity to review this book.

So, since I did enjoy "Signifacance", I was hoping to like "Accordance". I was hoping even more that this book would have better editing than the previous one, but no such luck. I felt the story line dragged a bit and while I do like Caleb and Maggie, I quickly tired of Caleb's, "I would never hurt you" line and Maggie's "This is all my fault" line. Plus, the overall structure is just poor. There are a ton of missing question marks, "their" that should have been "there", and vice versa, and "threw" instead of "through". Then there is this scene early on where Maggie and Caleb go surfing. The author writes that they put on wetsuits, but in the next paragraph, Maggie is in her bikini and Caleb is in his shorts. The kicker was that they are in California, and the author describes them surfing in the morning, yet the sun is low over the water turing it orange? I live in California and here out west, the sun SETS over the ocean, so it would only be low over the water in the evening. There are so many errors in this book that there were times I had to put it down because I was getting so irritated with it all. I did make myself finish it, though. I don't think I'll read the third book as I'm not sure I can sit through anymore poor writing even if the story is good.

Accordance was perfect sequel to Significance. There were so many unexpected twists and I found myself speechless and surprised quite often during reading this book. I literally could not stop reading, storyline was maximally exciting and my heart was furiously beating most of the time. It is only 2nd book out of 4 and I already love this series so much!

Development of the characters comparing to the first book was pretty visible. Even though Maggie was overwhelmed and freaked out after she learnt all that supernatural stuff about herself, I admired her for eventually accepting all that responsibility. I know I would definitely freaked out myself. And I admired Caleb even more for his ability to be patient and always helping and supporting Maggie no matter what. Moreover, the way Caleb and Maggie are connected and able to communicate with each other is probably one of the most fascinating things I have ever read about. And even though Kyle irritated me even more that in the first book, I fell even more in love with rest of the Jacobson family, they are just amazing.

This book shows us that everything happens for a reason. Good things, bad things, everything has a meaning. But Mrs. Crane definitely did not make it easy for main characters and I cannot even imagine what else will happen to them in next books in series. If you are YA paranormal lovers, you have to read this series!!!

HOLY HOCKEY PUCKS BATMAN, ... was that a doozy of a cliffhanger! How on earth do I wait till next year for this sequel?

Accordance, was an excellent follow up to Significance. More heart stopping action, tons of clean romance, endearing devotion and loyalty, and a story line that won't disappoint. I said it once before, but I'm going to say it again. This "Ace" concept has TONS of potential, and ENDLESS possibilities!

Ugh loved this book just as much as the last! Caleb and Maggie are so adorable together. This book follows them right where the previous book left off, they are in California basically hiding from the Watsons. It follows Maggie as the tries to balance her relationship with Caleb and his family and her relationship with her family and best friend Beck. Maggie has a major secret to hide and both Beck and Bish know it.

This seemed like more of a transition book than anything else, and it seemed to be lacking in both focus and plot. Not much really went on, there was not much action or movement along, and it felt like time was just dragging on. There was a section of the middle of the book where I got really frustrated with Maggie. She just seemed so... I don't know. Like too much of a goody two-shoes or something. Too good. Too unreal. Caring too much about other people and not the right people. I didn't like how they just always had to throw their money around to help all these random people. I didn't like how she was just so loose about telling everyone the Jacobson family's secrets. She was just so careless with her visions and suddenly it seemed like all that talk about secrecy was for nothing. It just didn't even seem in alignment with the story, especially when Maggie was suddenly able to see the visions of others' imprints, when originally those images were supposed to be for those individuals alone. It just seemed so intrusive, like she was invading on something that wasn't even supposed to be her business. And how she always stopped Bish and Jen from happening.

I don't know. I just feel like 70% of this book rubbed me the wrong way. I don't like how Maggie dealt with her problems either, why she thought it was okay to do what she did at the concert (don't want to give away spoilers here). It just didn't seem right and this entire novel just seemed so... not right.

All in all though I suppose it was still okay. I still like the world, I like Maggie and Caleb together, I like that Kyle finally manned up and became mature, and I'll still read the third book because I want to know what happens, I just wasn't very impressed with this story, as I was with the first one, and it just didn't really seem like much of a story to me. Also, I didn't really work it out in my head but I felt like more time had actually passed in the story since Maggie and Caleb got together than was actually stated at different intervals in the book. I could be wrong though.

This had me hooked from the start!

So I have goes on in this book, it's like the start of what's to come in the following books.

Picks up right where we left off, so Kyle and Bish will be all over Caleb and Maggie during their holiday and basically try to annoy them

After the events of the first book, Maggie and Caleb have to stay low and away from their mortal enemies, The Watsons. But even if they are states away, trouble always seems to be following their every move.

Each character that has been introduced develops more, Maggie is no longer as weak as she first was, she is determined to fight to the end. She worries for her family and for Caleb and his family, and that protectiveness makes her stronger to me. We also find out why Maggie and Caleb were importuned at such a young age, and it's a pretty big statement.
Caleb, always the same, loving and caring and incredibly sexy as always. His protective but gentle with her.
Kyle and Bish are lovable, they are annoying but it seems like they will get their happiness too later on
And then there are family members who we might for the first time, and it's crazy how much is revealed!

I thoroughly enjoyed this one, a good step up from the first, can't wait to see what else is in store :)

Sweet baby peas. These books can be cute and sappy but they’ve also made me cringe and roll my eyes so hard I think they’ll fall out of my head but I read books this like instead of watching reality TV. I think it’s a fair trade hahahahaha

Ohemgee, they still have not gotten past first base. You are engaged, about to get married, and have yet to cop a feel - yes I understand your laws a tad bit different but come on, touch her shoulder or something?! Unnatural, that's what it is.

In this one I was most annoyed with the heroine Maggie, she was just doing the same things and saying the same things. One minute she is so sure about her relationship, the next she is questioning it, it seriously gave me whiplash. The drama with her brother was just extra as well. But I will admit I'm happy that Kyle's annoying self finally was mated. Because he was certainly getting on my nerves! I think it is awesome what Caleb's ability is though didn't see that coming. Let's see what else is coming..

If you haven’t started reading the Significance series yet then you should fix that immediately. It’s a phenomenal paranormal romance series for young adults. It’s exciting, romantic, suspenseful and dramatic. The first two books, Significance and Accordance, are now available on Amazon.com, and the third book, Defiance, will be released May 2012. I am not sure how many books will make up the complete series, but I know that Defiance will not be the last book in the series.

Accordance, the second novel in the Significance series, picks up exactly where Significance left off. Everything that I loved about Significance can be found in this novel: humor, romance, shocking developments, drama, and more paranormal revelations. Accordance was just as good as Significance, if not better.

If you want a more in depth review, check out my review for Significance. My feelings haven’t changed. :)

There were a few surprises in this novel and some confirmations. The only bad thing about this novel is that it ended and I have to wait a really long time for the next book in the series.

So far, the Significance series has been a very clean series. The main characters don’t drink alcohol. The language and hook ups are innocent. Maggie has morals, and she sticks to them. Caleb respects Maggie’s wishes, and he doesn’t push her for more even though his body craves hers. Maggie and Caleb also respect their parent’s wishes. I think it’s nice to find a clean novel every now and then. I also read adult romance novels, so squeaky clean isn’t a requirement of mine. However, I like to find a good, clean young adult story every now and then.

I gave Accordance by Shelly Crane 4 STARS. This series kicks butt. I strongly recommend this series to young adults.

-XOXO

Accordance takes off where Significance left off, with Caleb and Maggie arriving in California for her protection against the Watson's. Just when they thought they have some time to themselves to learn about each other, Kyle and Bish show up to chaperone. Time alone is few are far between now. Bish is there to find out what his sister is hiding, and why everyone is ok with Maggie running off to another state with a guy she just met. And Kyle just won't leave well enough alone.

Maggie is coming to terms that she is not only an Ace, but that she is also a seer. She can read the minds of those around her, see into their minds, feelings, plans, even see visions. Sure it comes in handy when needing a few seconds to talk to Caleb without Bish learning of what they are, not so handy when all of Kyle's feelings are of his love for her.

One day Maggie gets a vision that will affect Aces everywhere. She learns the past mistakes of the clans, the greed and pride they held above all. She also learns the prophecy that she and Caleb are the ones to put an end to it all and bring back what the Virtuoso's once were, caring and giving people. But soon, with everything piling up on her shoulders, all the emotions and responsibilities just becomes to much. Will Maggie be able to live up to what her new family is expecting or will she let them all down?

Accordance is so wonderfully written with a story line that is unlike any other. It’s easy to lose yourself in the world that Crane creates. I felt the happiness, the unease and the suspense right along with the characters. And lets not forget the romance, ohhh the romance. Shelly brings back all those memories of first love: the stolen kisses, the dreams you have, the playful touches. My favorite thing about a book is the love story and this author knows how to deliver, in all her works. Accordance is a must read by a brilliant author. You will not be disappointed.

If i could , i would have rated it 'Infinity' !!! God this book is sooooooooooo good !! It is the most awesomest book ever . I finished it 2 hrs ago and was so speechless that i just didnt know what to say . WOW , AMAZING , FANTASTIC , BREATH-TAKING BEAUTIFUL , i can just go on and on about how good it was .
The book starts off exactly where the previous one finished . Our destined love birds Caleb and Maggie , enjoying a quite nice time in California under the scrutiny of their super hot chaperones . But trouble for the couple is not far away and yet again we find ourselves amidst those trouble makers a.k.a 'the bad guys'.
This was definitely an emotional rollercoster ride . It was always difficult to chose whether i should happy for someone's gain or sad for something one probably could never have . It literally made me cry at certain points . I dont want to go in revealing a lot here because its definitely an exciting read . And its better to experience all this by reading the book . I totally loved Maggie in this book . She understood what she is and took it really well , instead of constantly whining about it . This book certainly had surprises of their own which , well something that i guessed would not happen but did actually happen !! Again the whole family supporting each other during times of trouble was awesome . I guess thats makes it easier to connect with the characters . They feel so real . Everytime i read a book i treat it as a movie which is playing in my head . Makes reading so much fun . This is one movie i would definitely wanna watch for reel . Hollywood still listening !!!
A must read . Cant wait for the third book in this series . Really looking forward to it !!
SHELLY CRANE , YOU HAVE OUTDONE YOURSELF . I THOUGHT THE FIRST BOOK WAS BETTER , WELL THIS WAS EVEN BETTER THAN THAT . HATS OFF TO YOU !! YOU ARE ONE OF MY FAVOURITES AUTHOR FROM HERE ON . LOVE YOU LOTS AND THANK YOU FOR SUCH AN AWESOME BOOK :)

Okay, so if you read my review of book one in the Significance series, you'll understand me when I say that the fifteen-year-old within me won out in even reading the sequel to Significance.

As with the first book, the second one was completely relationship-driven. With the exception of a brief appearance early on, the bad guys don't even come into the story until it's almost over.

Once again, Kyle is the most interesting character (not, mind you, the main character), and the main players seem as obsessed with each other as they were in the first book.

Thankfully, the Watsons (plural, not possessive) were mentioned WITHOUT the previously incorrect apostrophe usage this time, though it was slipped in once or twice.

Honestly, I am struggling to come up with something new to say that I haven't already mentioned in my review of book 1. I feel even less actually happened in this story than the first one, with the exception of a few supernatural developments.

Once again, this story fell short of my expectations. I doubt I'll be reading the third installment in this series... no matter how much my inner teenager begs.

Let's talk about Maggie and Caleb first. In case you didn't know I am a huge Maggie and Caleb shipper. They are awesome together. [spoiler] And when Caleb asked Maggie to marry him, we're talking major fangirl moment.

Kyle got on my nerves so many times. I'm not a fan of love triangles. [spoiler] And then a girl named Lynn came and imprinted on Kyle and I was like "Yay!", now Kyle is in love with Lynn, and there are no more love triangles (I hope).

And I understand what the cover of the fourth book is about, with the red dress and stuff! I get it!

All in all, this is a great story. I love it and will re-read it again and again.

My heart has just broken. I went to purchase the 3rd book and realized it isn't released yet. Oh, snap, I have 6-7 months to wait. No coffee or potty breaks for you, Shelly Crane!

Well, I loved it! It picks up right where Significance left off. It's hard to say a lot about this book without posting spoilers, so I'll just say that it was awesome and creative. I've typed & erased a dozen different things because they contained spoilers so I'm gonna shut up now. Great Book!

Hmmm, my interest was slowing waning by the end... More to come.

I guess I just felt so blown away by the first one that I had really high expectations for this one as well. I think part of it is that the novelty just wore out... But it was still a pretty good book! I still die for Caleb ❤️

I can't decide if I need a little break from the series or if I should dive right back into the next one...
