Moira remembers the day like it had happened the night before…
She is a Highlander woman of the Beinn Nibheis mountain clan, but as a young girl, her parents were murdered by a wild bear, a memory that she cannot let go of. Left all alone, her only family was her surrogate mother and her childhood friend.
Growing up, she was consumed by a hatred of bears, and spent most of her days hunting and killing every bear she could find. While scouting with her childhood friend, Ivar, Moira comes across a mysterious bear that seems different than usual. She loses track of him, but distracted Moira is saved from certain death by a handsome man, Artair, from her enemy’s clan. After seeing him a few times, she finds herself in love with him, a feeling she never believed was possible for a girl like her.
But there is a problem...
A fellow member of Artair’s clan reveals to Moira that Artair is a Bear Warrior: a legendary race of shape-shifter that can take on the form of the very beast she has vowed to destroy.
What is she to do now?
Please Note: This is a Novella with a HEA (happy ever after ending). Does not end with a "cliffhanger".
Both of the story's, in this e-book where very good. They where both short stories, which I personally think are hard to write. At least I find not everyone can do it well from all the short stories I have read. Samantha wrote with excellence, and nothing felt rushed or left off. Both stories were interesting, the caricatures were relatable. I would recommend these stories.
I downloaded this book for 'free' through Amazon for the kindle, in a bundle with 'The Cowboy's Horsetrainer'. This story was one of the bonus books included.
There were far more grammatical errors in this book that the few I read before it. In my opinion, they were enough to distract from the meaning of the text.
Since this was included with a clean, historical mail bride romance, it threw me for a loop when this story ended up being from a completely different genre and includes sexual scenes. That's enough! I'm done with these books ... Did not complete ... Not interested...
I am shocked that the author would combine these books in order to deceive readers and now would request payment from readers on Kindle, for such a short glimpse in time.
