Claire Rye’s self-assessment as an "old-school head banging, vegetarian, nature loving, history fan and sci-fi geek" captures the eclectic nature of her interests and influences. Understandably, her self-published novels are diverse in genres. Ranging from fantasy, science fiction, mystery to erotica. Claire’s non-conformist writing style means each book is unpredictable. However, regardless of the category of story, the quirky yet relatable characters and surprising revelations make for a rewarding journey. Claire Rye started to explore the world of writing in 2015 when her flair for the written word was discovered accidentally. She kept an informal blog while travelling through the United States and Europe. Claire found that her love of the unconventional helped her to look beyond the superficial. She discovered the ability to see ‘the story behind the story’ of the people and places she encountered. An overwhelmingly positive and excited response to her travel blog triggered a curiosity that lead to an expansion of her story telling. Claire Rye was born in Sydney Australia and currently lives on the Gold Coast. She continues to travel and develop her writing skills. TELLING is a masterfully crafted erotic romance. Each scene is so expertly written that I could feel myself getting lost in the author’s very descriptive passages. This book is definitely not for the faint of heart, for each scene is very descriptive.
Claire Rye you DEFINITELY know how to write one sizzling novel! Your book was like a breath of fresh air that hit on my literary library. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and you have earned a loyal fan. I highly recommend this author books for her talented pen delivers one breathtaking experience.
I am in love with this book! “Telling” is the best erotic thriller I have read lately. The book is engrossing, mesmerizing, image-bearing and I feel really lucky to have found it. The scene of action is Sydney, which is masterfully depicted as a city of truly free spirits and a melting pot of various lifestyles. This is the story of two flatmates, Jane and Ruby, which are complete opposites, but somehow attracted to each other. Ruby is confident, sexy and strong, Jane is a complete introvert, locked in her own shell. Moreover, there is a mystery, a secret key to such attraction, that explains everything. The author did a great job, providing the book with an atmosphere of true feelings and powers of desire, successfully combining love, lust, and passion into one indivisible whole, which is not vulgar in the least, but on the contrary, sensual and full of sexuality. The greatly developed characters of Jane, Ruby, Hank Sanford, Secret Admirer, all of them, make this book a completely amazing, gripping read, which keeps the reader’s interest till the very last page. Such small details, as Ruby’s Australian accent, adds to the image-bearing effect of the book enormously! Sensual erotic scenes, unexpected twists and turns of the plot, and a completely stunning ending! I highly recommend this truly addictive book to everybody!
“Telling" by Claire Rye is the most entertaining erotic thriller that I've read in a while. I love the way the author describes things and pushes the limits without going too far. Jane and Ruby are outstanding characters. They are polar opposites which creates plenty of conflict and keeps the story entertaining and page-turning. I love the tension it creates.
The story was very easy to follow. The writer's voice is excellent and the story is compelling. I couldn't recommend it more!
I really like Ruby! She is unapologetic in her sexuality and it is refreshing to read about a woman in erotica who "takes" rather than always "be taken". You are either going to love or hate the ending, it will divide people I think. I hated it for hours but now that I am writing this , I think I love it lol. I wish the story was a little longer but for what it is it still packs a punch.
Wow I was not expecting that when I sat down to read an erotic fiction. I cant really review this without major spoilers and I don't want to give anything away but I will say it is a good read and has enough sexy to keep the fans of the genre really happy :-)
I won this book in the Goodreads Giveaway. I am not associated with the author in any way shape or form. I am choosing of my own accord to review this book.
I had an idea when i started reading this book that the ending would be what i thought. Although i was not expecting the death of the character. I did enjoy this book. It hit close to home with the suicide. I did find that it was a bit hard to start reading but once i got into it i really enjoyed it.

Well this got the blood going! This is a novella about a nymphomaniac named Ruby and her staid flatmate Jane. Jane is appalled by Ruby's sexual antics and the fact that she blogs about them - she says so to her psychiatrist.
I kind of guessed the ending about half way through. I knew something was up and wondered if this was the case. It is erotic fiction so if you are going to read it - be warned that it is pretty descriptive. The book isn't for everyone.

I was lucky enough to win a copy of this through a goodreads giveaway. Firstly I love the cover, it’s eye catching and intriguing. This is a great erotic thriller written in an easy and compelling style that draws you in. It is set in my home city so I could easily visualise every moment on the page. It flowed well and had enough sexiness to steam it up a little. Mesmerizing and provocative. A solid read.
At first this book was a bit weird and took a bit to get the hang of what was happening. Even in the chapters it was like who’s talking. But eventually it made a bit more sense as you went. It was good and kept me hanging and reffing ad go what would happen. Was not what I was expecting until the Doc said something and it clicked! Really great!
I was lucky enough to win a copy of this book, and I enjoyed the whole thing except for the end. That though is due to personal experiences, other than that it was great. Very descriptive and well written. Trust me when I say, do not judge a book by its cover 😉
I would have given this 5 stars but the ending was way too fast for me. The book was fun and I truly enjoyed reading it, but the end... felt rather ripped off lol
