I believe feeling loved is at the top of everyone's list. But what do you do when love as you know it has disappointed you?

In Wendy's new book, " I am loved", Wendy takes us on a journey, showing us what TRUE love looks like. She introduces you to a LOVE like no other. A LOVE that does NOT disappoint. A LOVE that restores and keeps no record of wrongs. A love that is patient in your brokenness. The love of a Father! Our Heavenly Father! Wendy takes us through the book of 1 John to show us this unconditional love that our Heavenly Father has toward us. She encourages us to receive that love and teaches us the importance of walking it out in our everyday lives. Wendy comes to you, not forming her own opinion on what love looks like from her perspective but rather she draws straight from the very word of God, encourages you to do the same, all while challenging you to walk in that truth you've just learned.

I enjoy Bible Study by reading a book and learning that way. I Am Loved is another bookclub pick from Proverbs31 Online Bible study (https://proverbs31.org/study/online-b...). I've enjoyed reading along with them because it's similar to goodreads, where I can go online and discuss the book I'm reading. The book has a lot of discussion questions and places in the book to write your answers. I liked being able to read more about the Book of John. What I really liked is that there are so many scripture passages to read along with the book. Sometimes I feel like I don't open my Bible enough and this book helped me explore more of my Bible then I had in a long time.

With anticipation, and my bible in my lap, I tucked into I Am Loved, the latest book from Wendy Blight. If you have read Wendy before, you know you can’t start without the Word close to hand! From page one, I just loved this book! I found myself happily exploring the text and the Bible for hours. In the time I set aside each day, I discovered found new ways to live out John’s gospel and now have a new perspective on old truths that has changed the way in which I act. One example that really resonated: “How are you sharing the riches of Christ with those around you? Choose one person to encourage this week. Share his or her response; how it make you feel, and how God used it in your life and/or theirs.”

This book is an intense bible study, beautifully and carefully led, with tough topics and several moments of truth suited to those who are looking to dig deeper. It is a reassurance and a call to action in the hard times. It is for those ready to really interrogate scripture and wrestle with tough elements of love and hold hands with a writer who paints hope and casts light through her insights.

John’s life and testimony is at the centre of the inspiration supported by Wendy’s testimony and both give such honest accounts one can only be encouraged. It’s a feast of information, nuances in the text, references and cultural context. I am amazed at the amount I learned about a topic I thought I knew! It changed my prayers, my bible study time and the way I viewed and interacted with the world. Bite-sized tasks break down huge discussions into changes that are manageable.

This book arrived as a balm to my weary soul. Battle-scarred from a bumpy year, Wendy reminded me whose I am, the promise and gift that that is and then why I strive to live it out each day. By tackling the hard parts of love, the intricacies of it and the biblical truths underlying it, she brings hope. Hope that in the world of chaos and pain my truth north stands strong. The book feels so needed and relevant to face real life in a way that glorifies God daily. The weaving of John’s multiple books together to build a life walked in truth shifted my biblical understanding. I loved every minute of it and highly recommend it, 5 out of 5.

Wendy Blight is my favorite Bible study teacher. I always learn so much from her. I love that this book includes something for everyone, new Christians or mature ones. From page one Wendy's heart is pure in sharing God's truth compassionately as if each reader is a dear friend.I love that Wendy encourages her reader to go back to the Bible frequently. She gives practical tips to apply the Bible. It is also fun to learn words from Greek and gives a deeper understanding of Scripture. 1 John is a shorter book in the Bible that does not always get the attention it deserves. It is exciting that God put it on Wendy's heart to write this amazing book. I cannot wait to use this study with my Bible study group. I would highly recommend this book to any woman.

Wendy has a beautiful heart for Bible study and has a true gift for writing. This study in 1 John is so needed today when there is a world of hate and violence. What I love about the InScribed studies is that they are written as a book with the study questions weaved throughout so no flipping of pages. This book, I Am Loved is such a beautiful book!

I’ve been blessed by His extravagant, unfailing and never ending LOVE; it’s a blessing to know I’m His daughter. He never abandoned me at my worst! He is merciful, compassionate and forgiving. His mercies are new every morning, He protects me and comforts my soul one day at a time...

Loving unlovable people is an on-going challenge!
I must choose to love others ‘intentionally’ particularly those who I may dislike at work, in Church, family and neighborhood... God knows my heart and He knows I do my best in forgiving the wicked and those who don’t act right... He gives me the inner strength to carry out His commands!

I liked how Wendy suggested four ways to love: listen, speak truth in love, give in love and serve in love.

I need to be more intentional in serving others at work in love particularly the evil-spirited ones...

I was also reminded of the following: we must walk in Light, walk in obedience, and walk in Love...

A Crucial Bible Study for Women

Wendy Blight has written an in-depth and very important Bible Study for women based on 1John. I Am Loved: Walking In the Fullness of God's Love speaks to the longings of my own heart. As women, we have the need to know we are loved, deeply loved. By guiding us through Scripture, Wendy encourages us to embrace God's deep love for us, and to make it our own. By more deeply and fully understanding God's unfathomable love for us, we can then walk in obedience, sharing His love with others.
For me, discovering such important truths has been life-changing. Digging deep into Scripture has enabled me to embrace God's amazing love for myself. By studying and memorizing bible verses, spending time in prayer, and practically applying what I've learned, I've been able to receive God's love in a way that has transformed my thoughts, feelings, and actions.
It's critical that, as women, we have a solid, personal understanding of God's intimate love for us. For me, that means living a secure, victorious life. A life that isn't fraught with fear, worry, or dread.
I highly recommend I Am Loved: Walking In the Fullness of God's Love. This is an important study not to be missed!

Let's face it - it's really easy to forget how much God loves us as we navigate this crazy, stress-filled world - we take our eyes off of Him and focus too much on lesser things. This is where Wendy's beautiful words bring us straight back to Him as she generously walks with us through 1 John and reminds us how much He loves us and how important it is to cultivate a relationship with Him.

Wendy's book challenged AND inspired me - lots of books inspire me for a while, but this is a book that reaches far beyond that to be a big game-changer! If you read it and really dig into the material, this book has the capacity to help you really love yourself and others in a more authentic, deep, meaningful way that lasts through the changing seasons in life. You'll be opening your Bible, and seeing His love for you in a fresh, new way.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who feels like their focus is too much on all the daily "stuff" of life and who needs a fresh look at God's love. This is also a great way to get back into Bible study if you've been wanting to return to consistent study - you'll love the material and be inspired to keep opening your Bible long after you've finished Wendy's amazing book!

The author (and the versions of the Bible she uses) definitely stretches what the Bible says to fit her point.

And I'm all about using scripture to back up scripture, but she takes it to a new level 😅 choosing one verse in Job, another in 1 Corinthians, 1 John, John, Mark, then back to 1 John... If this were a deeper study, I probably could've gotten behind the jumping around, but that was all just to prove that we should have an attitude of repentance and forgiveness.

There were several examples I couldn't relate to, which seemed exaggerated. The oddest if which was not talking to her husband for several hours while in the same hotel room because they were mad at each other that they got rained on. Maybe it really happened the way she said, but her stories seem dramaticized.

Overall, maybe this book could be a good study tool, as long as you're doing your own research (and reading a standard Bible translation) along the way. But I couldn't recommend this study to newer Christians or people who don't like to dive in deep with their study Bibles.

Outstanding! Challenging study digging into God's WORD.

Wendy Blight does it again! This incredibly rich and intense study on 1 John is structured in such a way that gives you in depth reading 5 days a week for 5 weeks as Wendy leads you to a full understanding of what it means to be God’s Beloved in 1 John. Wendy has a way of walking you thru various scripture references, but infuses personal stories and anecdotes that allow one to see fullness of God’s love. The book itself contains lots of questions, reflections and spaces to write your insights, thoughts and reactions to this powerful study. I highly recommend this study to anyone looking to really uncover and come to a deep understanding that each one of us is dearly LOVED by our Heavenly Father. If you have the opportunity, I also strongly suggest the companion DVD teachings that contain five 20ish minute videos of Wendy summarizing each week.

I highly recommend this study of 1 John and the love of God! I especially loved the workbook style, and it always helps me retain what I've been reading and learning better to write it down.

This book helped to remind me of a few things I had forgotten. Such as, walking in the light and loving others should be a natural--or Spirit-filled--response for the believer; responding out of love to the God who is love. Loving others should be a natural outcome from loving God with all my heart. Great reminders.

If you have ever wondered what it truly means to live loved by understanding God’s love for you, this study answers those questions. It is a five week study and it is takes you through different scriptures as you uncover the truth about what it means to walk confidently in God’s love for you. I really enjoyed this study and the practical application it gave. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because the space left for you to write answers to questions in the book is almost never enough.

I enjoyed this study of First John. I had started reading First John daily since middle of December and this study became available via an online bible study. This book has enhanced my study of First John and brought to light many scriptures to enforce these truths. I am loved. I am a dearly loved child of God. Satan can't touch me because God abides in me. I've got big brother Jesus with me.

This study was another great one by Wendy Blight. I love how she explains things but how she also directs us toward digging into the Word for ourselves. I really feel like I understand how loved I am by God. I knew it before this study. But now I really know it and really feel it. She takes us step by step through the scriptures so that we read and learn for ourselves the depth of God’s love for us. Then we are to love others as God Loves us.

This study is an absolute must! Wendy helped me see God's Love through Johns words, more so than I could have seen on my own. Wendy loving took 1 John, and other scriptures and laid God's Love out for me, and made it so easy for me to follow and see. I will be treasuring this study for many years to come, and will be sharing it with my children!
