Matchmaker Cassandra is a pro at finding her clients that perfect person—but unfortunately her talent doesn’t extend to her own love life. She's too busy for romance, and she’s guarded her heart ever since her parents’ nasty divorce. So a man like Nasir seems the perfect choice for a casual fling—handsome, successful, and not interested in a relationship. But things get complicated quickly when Cassandra realizes not only that Nasir is her new client…but that she’s pregnant with his child.
Nasir has always been a dutiful son. Like his brothers, he gives his all to the family business, which leaves little time for love. His mother, though, is eager for her sons to settle down. When she drags him to a matchmaker, Nasir can hardly believe that Cassandra is the woman hired to find him a wife. After the unforgettable night of passion they shared, Nasir isn’t sure how to react. But Cassandra seems determined to keep things professional, and before Nasir knows it, she’s arranged his first date.
Nasir is soon caught up in business and blind dates, and yet he can’t get Cassandra off his mind. Although Cassandra is convinced she’s not the woman he wants, Nasir has other ideas. But with a baby on the way and pressure mounting from Nasir’s mother, will her fear of repeating the past stand in the way of a perfect future?
New to Leslie? Readers suggest starting with 'The Bossy One' (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C6BP3BBF) —Imagine a sunny Minnesotan Mary Poppins, employed by a grumpy Irish billionaire. The story is a blend of humor, revenge, passion, heartbreak, hope, and witty banter. As one reader put it, ‘This story had me squealing at the romantic moments and silly moments.’

Leslie’s love for romance began when she picked up a worn-out romance book from her local library. She started writing soon after, and as they say, the rest was history. She now resides in a cozy cottage on the British coast, enjoying long walks with her two Dalmatians, George and Fergie.

The Sheikh's Pregnant Fling is destined to become a classic. With Nasir and Cassandra, not only does Ms. North create memorable characters, but she gives a subtle nod to the folklore that gave us some of the most unforgettable stories of our time. The fairytale. Cassandra is the mythical princess trapped in a tower of her own making. Nasir is the besotted white knight determined to set her free and Leslie North is the orchestrator of this ethereal modern turn on a bewitching genre. It's impressive when an author tries something new and pulls it off. Hands down, my favorite of Ms. North's tales to date.
This is the second book in a series but I don’t think I suffered for not reading the first in the series before this one. It definitely felt like a stand-alone novel. I loved the idea of a matchmaker who falls in love with someone she was supposed to match. Cassandra is a strong and interesting heroine and I think she and Nasir were a good match. I was a little annoyed that the cover art didn’t match the character descriptions (the character of Cassandra is a blond and the woman on the cover is a brunette). It’s the little things sometimes. I did like the story – the characters were solid – the writing was good. I did find it to be a fairly short read – it’s not even 200 pages. So, in some ways, I almost wish it had been longer! It felt in some ways like a novella instead of a novel. But, overall, this was a good romance. I think I’ll pick up the next book in the series and see if I am interested in continuing on!
NOTE: I received a copy of this novel from the publisher for an honest review.
Cassandra is a matchmaker and when she gets her newest client, she doesn't know what to think. She already knows this client, probably more intimate than she should. Sexy, fast paced story of a mother trying to get her sons to find a woman and give her grandchildren!
The Sheikh's Pregnant Fling is a very short story about a blonde matchmaker (which is in complete contradiction with the cover since the girl on it is not blonde) who meets Nasir, a rich handsome guy. They instantly fall in love and meet again a few days later, they hook up and surprise, she gets pregnant. Big problem is Nasir's mother wanted him to find a bride so she signed him up in Cassandra's agency hence Cassandra becoming his matchmaker. Awkward.
The rest of the story is everything you can possibly expect. It's absolutely not worth buying, and not really worth reading. It's boring at best. The writing is good and the characters aren't irritating or annoying at all. They're just plain, nothing interesting about them. The plot is cliché and cheesy and I love cliché and cheesy but this story just isn't good enough.
Another fun and quick read by Leslie North. I loved the story between Nasir and Cassandra. This is the second book in this series and can't wait to read the last one. This story can be read as a stand alone. I would recommend this book.
Cassandra was a matchmaker and had successfully matched at least thirty couples. She is also usually invited to the weddings of her couples. Cassandra was at one such wedding and kept locking eyes with a hot man it had to be at least five times their eyes had locked so maybe the man was as interested in Cassandra as she was him. The man came to the table Cassandra was at and sat down next to her. His name was Nasir Everything about Nasir screamed wealth and the cool air of luxury. Cassandra didn’t plan on finding her match any time soon. Her life was too busy right now. Cassandra never wanted to get married. Her parents marriage had seemed picture perfect to the world but in reality it was anything but. Then Nasir got a phone call and there was an emergency at work and he had to leave the reception but he gave Cassandra his business card and told her to call or text him since he would like to get to know her, Cassandra called Nasir and they set up a date to go out to eat. Cassandra got tipsy and slept with Nasir after their first date and that wasn’t her style. Then Cassandra got an email from her boss and she was given a new client and it was Nasir. After that Cassandra would not respond to Nasir’s emails or calls. Then Cassandra finds out she is pregnant. I loved this story , it was a fast and very enjoyable read. I loved the plot as well as the pace. I especially loved the ending. This was a quick sweet romance. I loved how Nasir knew right from the beginning there was something very something about him and Cassandra. I also loved how Nasir had planned the thank you dinner for Cassandra. I could not find anything to complain about in this book. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this story and I highly recommend.
The Sheikh’s Pregnant Fling is a quick and easy read with a scorching hot male protagonist and a female lead that had a childhood with which many of us can, sadly, relate. It would be nearly perfect to read poolside so you can take a quick dip when Nasir and Cassandra’s undeniable chemistry sets the pages on fire. “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” has a very different meaning for me now.
That said, as a reader, I found some stumbling blocks in the story from structural issues such as several repetitive word echoes and overused slang terms to personal preference issues such as word/phrasing choices (specifically things like “ate and pissed work” and “blow his load”) that seemed crude or inappropriate. These are issues a good beta reader or editor can easily help fix and bring this novel to the next level.
As sexy and desirable as I found Nasir, I didn’t connect with him on a very deep level and I didn’t feel an overwhelming need to see he and Cassandra together. Perhaps this is based on the length of the piece more than anything, but their back stories and personal struggles weren’t given enough air time to help me form a connection.
Finally, I had a far different vision of Cassandra in my head only to discover Nasir’s assessment of her included her glossy blonde hair, not brunette as portrayed on the cover. A small detail perhaps, but something the author and publisher should address.
This book is a sweet and nice read. I've read other books by the author before which is the reason why I took a chance on a book with a Sheik in its title. I must admit that I as a bit weary as I read some books by other authors with a Sheik as a romantic hero and ended up fuming and, well, let's just say that my e-reader survived, barely.
Knowing the author's other books. I couldn't imagine that this would be another one of those books where the modern heroine is deliriously happy to be kept in a harem and never be allowed to get out again - yay. Not. This is definitely not the case in this book and I really enjoyed reading this sweet and charming story!
"The Sheikh's Pregnant Fling" is a strong woman who knows what she wants, it takes her some time to get there and to realize what is really important but she gets there. The mysterious Sheikh, on the other hand, is a charming modern man who respects her as a woman and as an equal. No bad clichées here, simply two people who fall in love, have to overcome some hurdles and finally get their HEA. I was also very happy to find that it's not too long-drawn-out and hasn't too many dramatic scenes, just exactly the necessary amount of everything.
It is a simple and somewhat light read but definitely one that I will reread and that made me look for the first book in the series "The Sheikh’s Fake Fiancée".
What happens when you are so afraid of ending up in an unhappy relationship like Cassandra's parents did that it scares you so much that when you meet your dream man you think everything will fall apart.
Cassandra is afraid to love after watching her parents hate being together it has made her afraid to trust in relationships so when she meets Nasir at a wedding she matched up he couple she thinks she can just have a quick fling but as they say things never go as expected. Nasir saw Cassandra from across the room and had to meet her on first introductions he has feelings but has to rush off for work hope Cassandra will call him. After an an amazing night with Cassandra Nasir knows what he's feeling but when she cuts all communication with him he doesn't know what to do Try's anything he can. It Cassandra is hiding a secret she is worried that if he finds out will put her in her parents situation. Can they find there way to each other, or will Cassandra's worries keep them apart. Would highly recommend this book to everyone. What can you say Leslie North knows how to deliver romance, intrigue, with enough suspense to keep you guessing what's going to happen. Another 5 star book.
The Sheikh's Pregnant Fling by Leslie North 'The Sheikh's Pregnant Fling' by Leslie North is book Two in the "Azhar Sheikhs" series.
This is the story of Cassandra and Nasir. I haven’t read book 1 in this series but this can be read as a standalone. Cassandra and Nasir meet first at a wedding where they are at the same dinner table. After Nasir switches a name placement beside her to his and she pretends to not be the person name plate she is setting at...which sets the story up for them to not really know each other’s name. They end up having a temporary fling then Cassandra is hired to find Nasir a wife, for Cass is a matchmaker. Can someone say Awkward! Then we go along the rest of the way with what is the rest of the romance formula is- girl is in love with boy, boy cant be with girl..they have sex and something happens that keeps them apart. There is a secret, yada yada yada. I really did like this story even though it came across as sort of bland at times. I would have liked more passion and excitement. Otherwise, its just a bit cliché and somewhat bland when it comes to romance but still a quick summer romance read to enjoy.

Cassandra is a professional matchmaker and has found many client's HEA. Unfortunately, she is too busy for romance and has no intention of marriage after watching her parents nasty divorce. Cassandra meets Nasir at a wedding for two of her clients and in instantly attracted. She has a casual affair with him that quickly becomes complicated once Cassandra realizes that Nasir is her new client and she is pregnant with his child.
Nasir has given all of his energy to the family business. His mother is pushing him to settle down and has hired a matchmaker. He doesn't want to date because he is enchanted by the woman he met at a friend's wedding. When he finds out his matchmaker is Cassandra, he is devastated that she wants to keep things professional. As Nasir is focusing on his business and blind dates, he can't get Cassandra off of his mind. Can Nasir convince Cassandra that they are the perfect match?
This is the second book in the Azhar Sheikhs series. I was thrilled that Nasir found Cassandra. I loved Nasir. This was a fun read, perfect for a lazy summer day.
I received an ARC from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!
Book Review For: The Sheikh's Pregnant Fling by Leslie North 'The Sheikh's Pregnant Fling' by Leslie North is book Two in the "Azhar Sheikhs" series. This is the story of Cassandra and Nasir. I have read the previous book but feel this is easily a standalone book. Cassandra and Nasir meet first at a wedding where they are at the same dinner table. After Nasir switches a name placement beside her to his and she pretends to not be the person name plate she is setting at...which sets the story up for them to not really know each others name. This is a temporary encounter as Cassandra doesn't really do relationships due to her parents past relationship. But true love can't be stopped even for Cassandra and Nasir. The sheikh's Pregnant Fling (Azhar Sheikhs book 2)
Cassandra is a matchmaker hired to find the perfect wife for Nasir. Before she is given the profile by her boss to find the perfect mate for this CEO she has a chance meeting with him which leads to a date which leads to, well you get the idea. Their chemistry was off the charts hot from the moment they laid eyes on each other.
This book is filled with OTT emotions from both sides of this relationship Cassandra has a secret she feels she must keep from Nasir but he accidentally discovers the thing she is keeping from him at a lunch appointment with a lady Cassandra chose for him. Although they were compatible it was not in the cards for a romance but a strong friendship and she could tell from their first meeting that Nasir had already found what he was looking for, and thought she knew the reason he felt it was not to be for he and Cassandra.
I enjoyed this book from the first chapter through the Epilogue. I highly recommend this book and author. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary ARC of this book and gave it a 5 star rating because I felt it was so well written.
I quite often enjoy a light romantic novel - and have read and enjoyed books by this author before . This unfortunately didn't live up to my expectations .
Cassandra is a professional matchmaker , who, at a client's wedding meets Mr Tall Dark and Handsome . The sexual chemistry is immediate......they have one night stand which results in a pregnant Cassandra . The father , Nasir an overworked CEO of a multinational company , is under pressure from his mother to settle down ..... she has set him up with a matchmaking firm - coincidentally Cassandra's company . We go from one, one night stand to another to a proposal in no time at all . Whilst books of this genre usually ask you suspend belief -in this one I found it difficult to relate to either of the main characters and was left feeling .... is that it !!
I was given an arc of this book by the Publisher and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review .
I am loving these Azhar brothers from Leslie North! When they fall they go all in, even if at first it doesn't go as they think it should. When the eldest of the Azhar brothers, Nasir, finds the woman he can't get out of his head at a wedding little does he realize he will soon end up as a client in a matchmaking service he will have to work even harder to get what he wants. Cassandra is great at finding matches for other people, but when it comes to her own life she finds it a bit harder. When she meets Nasir and then finds out he is a new client she thinks she has to remover herself from his life and as his matchmaker. What she doesn't realize is when she gives in the what she feels for him she will find what she has been missing. And like his brother Nasir's match will come with and added bonus. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Nasir Azhar’s mother, Safiya has decided her son needs a woman in his life so she has signed him up with a Matchmaker to find his perfect mate. Little does she know that Nasir has found his perfect match but he says nothing to his mom. Cassandra is on cloud nine after spending the night with Nasir until the next morning when she finds out he is her new client and she is supposed to find him a wife.
Leslie North writes a lot of stories about Sheikh’s and this one is at the top of the list for me. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Nasir’s character was strong and not over the top. He was such a romantic soul even if he didn’t know it. I liked Cassandra’s character as well. This was one of this author’s better plot’s regarding the sheikh’s she likes to write about. The romance at the end of the story was so sweet! Loved it.
This is the second book in the series but it can be read as a standalone (it does have spoilers for the first book though).
I could listen to this book again and again, the chemistry between Cassandra and Nasir is red hot and makes for a great book. The complications caused by their family and work situations make the story more interesting along with their strong personalities. I was impressed by Nasir's tenacity, he is delightfully determined.
The narration is excellent, I really enjoyed the character voices and other overall narration was lovely to listen to.
I received a free copy of this book from the author and/or narrator and/or publisher and I voluntarily wrote this honest review.
ARC - I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest! For Cassandra, this was just a one night stand. For Nasir, as soon as he saw her, he could not deny the attraction. As they got to know each other, it became more than a simple attraction. Cassandra was a match maker. When she found out Nasir was her next client, she tried to cut ties w/ him. Nasir could not understand why Cassandra was so distant. To complicate things, Cassandra is pregnant. I so love when Love wins in the end. This was a fast paced sweet love story. I can't wait to read the next book. Is Cassandra's predictions going to become true ? Is triplets on the way ?
First thing. Totally romantic story that makes your chest squeeze cause you don't want to cry, but a few happy tears leak through. Cassandra is a match maker but in no way ever looking for a match that isn't 100% sure, and a one night stand is not her style so when she invites Nasir up after a first date she doesn't understand why but only that she can never see him again when he becomes her client. I loved the interaction between the characters, the easy feeling of really getting to know them, connecting with the story and the HEA. A really great book. I voluntarily read and offer my honest opinion and thoughts.
Sweet, Sexy and entertaining emotional romantic journey. Highly entertaining, unexpected twists and interesting group of charters and family bound.
Nasir being the oldest of three brothers and his mothers favorite son he diffidently takes on more responsibility then his job to pick up the slack for his younger brother leaving no real time for a personal life. His caring and driven mother hires Matchmaker Cassandra to help him find love with his demanding schedule. The fact that they know each other and had a one night stand complicates things. Awesome late night relaxing in bed read.
Book 2 by Leslie North about Sheikh brothers and their hook ups with american women. In both installments unprotected sex is the happening that leads to a HEA. Although the story was okay just a quick read with no action to speak of. "A copy of this book was provided by City Owl Press via Netgalley with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read and my comments here are my honest opinion."
"Great sweet love story!" This is the second book in the Azhar Sheikhs Series, but this book can be listening as a standalone. I like sheikh's stories. I like the two main characters, Cassandra and Nasir. This story is sweet with some steamy scenes and with a HEA ending. This book is as good as expected. Leslie North is a really good author, who know how to build a good love story. Roberto Scarlato's voice is very great and easy to listen. I can't wait to listen to the third book in the Series.
The Sheikh's Pregnant Fling brings us Nasir the dutiful son and Cassandra the matchmaker who is hired to find Nasir a wife. Although she can find happiness for others Cassandra will need to let down her guard if she is to get her own HEA and sometimes love is where you least expect it. I really enjoyed this story and the characters.
Dropped a star since character on cover doesn't come close to Cassandra's blonde hair and blue eyes. Cassandra did everything by the book, but fate had something else in mind for her future. Their story is cute, just wish we got more of the two of them together.
Cassandra meets Nasir at a wedding and it was an instant spark between them. A Love Story with ups and downs, but at the end a Happy Ever After with twins for this amazing couple. Great characters I had to keep reading till the end. Received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
The matchmaker and the client, reluctance to mix business with love. Makes a change for it to be the woman who is pushing him away due to a. Messed up past due to her parents. Not keen on the push/pull relationship but a good read.
Nasir's story of his journey to a match with Cassandra , who is a matchmaker travels some adventurous routes. Good second book in the series to keep the reader turning pages. Ebook from Netgalley and publisher with thanks.Opinions are entirely my own.
A quick, cute read. The sex scenes were hot. I found the characters to be entertaining in this book. I did not read the first in this series, but I did not feel like I missed anything. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
The Sheik’s Pregnant Fling by Leslie North was a great book. Cassandra is a matchmaker who is very good at her job. But she feels helpless with her own love life. She meets Nasir at a wedding for two of her clients. Little did she know things would change so much for her.
The plot - A matchmaker has an affair with one of her client before even she knew he was going to be her client. Quite an average plot, though was feel good. Lacked emotion and reality. The writer has evidently not done her research properly with regards to her male protagonist.
