OK read for me. This story continue Emily's adventure from book 1. She is now running her own B&B with the help of Daniel and bunch of people in the small town.
Her B&B got booked for a wedding. During her short break up with Daniel, she found many artifacts left in the B&B including a diamond ( it baffled me how someone can leave a diamond in the old house). And painting.
Overall this is a good read for a lazy summer day on the beach.

Loved loved loved this book!!! I can't begin to describe the level of depth this series has. Plus how intriguing it is because the author never tells what happened to Emily's father. That alone would make me want to continue to read it but this series has so many twists and turns that it keeps you guessing. Looking for to book 3!
I read this as a stand alone novel before realizing it was in a series! I don't feel that I was missing any crucial information without reading the first one, but I am intrigued enough to read the third installment to the series. This book is much more than a cliche summer beach read. There is depth to the characters and there were a few twists I didn't suspect.
When 35 year old Emily decides to restore her father's old house along the coast of Maine and turn it into a successful B&B she is met with unforeseen challenges and gifts. Is she simply trying to escape her previous life in NYC? Is this really want she wants? How much is she willing to give to make it work? How can she reconcile her old hectic and busy life in NYC with that of a much more calm atmosphere in Maine? What really happened to her father? The book explores themes such as finding yourself and what it means to love.
I really enjoyed this book. Partially because I've always wondered what it would be like to own and manage a quaint B&B. I spent time at a B&B in Bar Harbor, Maine once and continued to imagine the scenery just as I experienced it. When you experience something of such beauty and peace, it is quite difficult to return to "real life" where things are messy and fast-paced. The description of the house, coast of Maine, and attention to detail really add life to the book.
Being book 2 in this series I was looking for the story to evolve more in all aspects and it kind of did.
It was great to see Emily start to come into herself although still having the self doubt. Understandable with relationship where it was with Daniel and the disappearing he did. Their connection was getting slightly better for me than book 1 but still didnt reach any great highs i have to say.
I didnt understand when the big lot of guests would turn up he dissappeared. Not helping at all or even just being there to support Emily. It just seemed weird.
To see the B & B finally start to go somewhere was good although there seems to be no urgency about the back taxes at all. the way she was spending money blew away. Where was the money coming from to pay the employees? Also there no real fight against what Trevor was doing. Nothing. She just left it for everyone else to do the work. Just didnt sit right with me. Just way to blase about it all.
Or is it going to be Ben? After being SUCH a jerk in the first book he makes a brief appearance in book #2. Egging for her forgiveness with a giant diamond. Every girls dream, right? But not Emily’s anymore. There is theNew York Emily and the Sunset Harbor Emily. They aren’t the same woman. The Sunset Harbor girl has much to discover about herself and a lot to remember about her past. It’s that past that makes me still curious AND of course her future with Daniel and his newly discovered daughter Charlie that has me moving immediately on to book #3. This is highly unusual for me. I get MANY free ebooks daily to read and have only one other time fallen so in love with a series enough to NEED to purchase the other books to learn the rest of the story. Sophie Love has written one of those inThe Inn at Sunset Harbor series. After I read them, I might want to stay there, if there were really such a wonderful place.
Sophie Love is an excellent writer & she keeps you entertained from beginning until end. The descriptions makes you feel that you are there actually looking at whatever she is describing. Book 3 just came out so I can just pick up & read it and won't have to wait for it. Emily, the main character has a lot of problems to overcome but she has some really great times too. This is a good book worth reading so pick it up soon. Now I'll be waiting for Book 4 to come out.
Forever and For Always is every bit as good, if not better, than the first book in The Inn at Sunset Harbor series. I love these characters. The interactions between Emily and Daniel are riveting and to watch their love grow, all the while creating a beautiful B&B from an old derelict house that was her father's, has been fascinating. I feel some very interesting things coming right around the bend and I can't wait for book 3 to appear. This book is so much more than a chic-lit beach read.
As good as the first book was, this one brings even more problems. The small disasters with an old house never end. By this time, everyone has learned how to pitch in and get things done. It's a good thing because business has really picked up this summer!! The, B&B business is loud and the guests are partying Hard! Great fun!! Another fun clean encouraging book by Sophie Love!
Emily is living in her father's family home in Maine and converted into a B&B. Sweet, mindless summer read. Fast moving, left me wanting to read the next book. Main character is a little too whiny for me. Some parts of the story are too unbelievable: she renovated 20 rooms with en suite bathrooms in 24 hours. There is a mystery surrounding her father that moved very slowly, with the same clues revisited time after time with new info slowly surfacing.
Took a chance on this and got it as a free download for Kindle. It far exceeded my expectations; it was well written, the characters were fully developed, and although it was marketed as a "romance novel" the main character was primarily interested in her business (which was great!). It was just relatively predictable, and there was not really any will-they-won't-they like you find in other romance novels. I will try the first book in the series and see if that one is more eventful.
I always felt like I was missing something. Like I was plopped down in the middle of a story and never caught up. The book had no beginning nor when I finished it, there was no end. I realize it was because it was a 2nd book in a series but even if they are a series, the author shouldn't assume they will be read in order. Forever and For Always was so disappointing, I won't read another in that series.
I honestly wasn't sure the second book could. E better than the first and wow was I wrong. Every book in this series just keeps getting better. It's amazing how Sophie Love is able to do this so perfectly. I love the characters so much and I hope she will continue making this series forever. I am eagerly waiting for the next one to come out. I love this series and this author. Wow!!!
This book was.better than the first one in the series. You can see her growth as a writer. The characters still need more depth. The female is still too emotional to the point of annoyance. Too many secrets introduced and just touched on like a second thought. I has an easier time finishing this one than the first.
Emily is doing everything she can to get her B&B up and running, but for every success, she gets another obstacle. Will she ever get things to run smoothly? Daniel and her are getting closer, but he’s still holding back. Will they stay together or will she give up everything and head back to New York? I can’t wait to read the next book to see what happens.
What a good book!!! There is always something happening to this poor girl. Just when she has something good happen BAM, something bad comes along. It's like a roller coaster ride. But it is such a good story. I'm enjoying the series.
Good clean romance with a touch of mystery. The plot was more about the inn than the two main characters. And even though it could be read as a stand alone novel there is an open end to the next book.
Emily left everything in New York and ran to Maine. The B and B she envisioned comes to fruition, and her love for Daniel grows. There are many challenges, then things start to fall apart. Well written, fun reading, holds your interest.
Either this is part of a series of books which cannot stand alone, or it is one of the most badly written booke I have ever read. Or both. Just for the record, the kitchen range is an Aga not an Arga. In this age of google there is no excuse for this error.
Loved the continuation of this series. You are kept guessing at the outcome and become a part of the character's life. Looking forward to reading book 3.
I like the change the main character undergoes. I like that there were other characters, but it was mainly about Emily, her past, her future and her relationships.
