I bought this with high hopes as my husband and I had really got on well with the old Greek course in the days when they sent audio tapes! However, I really struggled with this. You get four books
- the German transcription of the audio lessons
- the handbook that is the English translation of the auditory materials along with a list of new words for that track
- spoken exercises that I'm not sure I ever got to
- written exercises, ditto
The first problem comes with trying to marry-up the first two books, as the German exercises and the English translations are listed slightly differently, so you have to work out which is which. There is a rather dense summary of grammar at the back, but mostly you seem to have to 'pick it up as you go along'. I'm afraid this is a thing I cannot do! I think I got to about lesson five and gave up.
