Cindy and Rachel break into a creepy old antiques and oddities shop. They’re just there for a steal and a quick buck, but what they don’t realize is that they’ve come for a whole different reason: the Devil’s Shopkeep awaits.
This should be marketed at 10-12 year old readers. There's nothing scary, it's very derivative (a doll named Annabelle? Clown masks? A maze-like warehouse?) and has way too many inconsistencies in the writing.
ALRIGHTY THEN ;-) This was like a trip to a ghost story telling campfire ;-) It tickled me, in particular, because I own an antique shop. I really got a kick out of the twist at the end. Found on Freebooksy, it was a good introduction to this writer, who I will be reading more of. Word of warning.. you may not want to read it late at night, if you have to get to sleep ;-)
So this was pretty good, the description said demons I'm not sure, I've heard of people being possessed but this reminded me of the bug guy in men in black

There is no order to reading each book.
Another brilliant little horror novel. This one reminds me a bit of Friday the 13th the series which I loved. Love the monsters created in this one. Excellent read! Recommend reading!

It's just a old antique store isn't it? Old things just collecting dust as nobody in town buys antiques. It's off the main street of this small dying town. But this store has something that somebody wants, unfortunately nobody seems to leave after the enter.
Can the girls get in and out before they are seen?
This little horror story is well written and suspenseful. I liked it because it isn't super gross like some horror stories/movies do. It keeps your attention until the end. I think the story could have been expanded a bit more into a longer Novella. But I give Zachery Miller some props for his writing, pretty well edited (one or two minor issues). I have also downloaded the rest of the series and read them as well. I will definitely be keeping him on my radar.
The shopkeep is a short horror story. This certainly wont' be for everyone. The shop is an old antique store, and supposedly once peopl eenter, they can't leave. so clearly the teenagers MUST find out the truth right? Will they get in and out without being seen? Will they be able to leave at all?

The first page caught me. A simple little horror story that was well written and left me with many questions. Good fast read that left an impression after the lights turned off.
I enjoyed this short story with great character development and quite scary in a Stephen King kind of way not a gory disgusting, not an easy feast in just 22 pages. I am looking forward to reading more from this author.
An amazing terrifying story of horror. A daughter of an over zealous mother gets involved with a bit of break and enter with a friend just an easy peasy job they thought aye?
Fun little horror story that puts me in the mind of the twilight zone. Not terribly frightening though. If you're into the stories found in the twilight zone then you will enjoy this little number.
An enjoyable little tale about two girls and the price they are forced to pay when they decide to break into a seemingly abandoned antiquities shop filled with creepiness.
Ask yourself what could possibly go so horribly wrong with a little heist from an old, shabby antique shops on the edge of town? Well, this is one thing I never imagined. This story is just horror as it's meant to be. Scary. It's also a story that will stick with me for a long time. And I really really hate freaking dolls. Kudos Zachary!!!!!
This is a quick read that will scare the pants off of you! Great story, typically stupid characters, and incredibly frightening monsters. What more could you possibly want! Recommended to horror fans everywhere.

This book is very short. Only 19 pages. I believe I got it on”Stuff your kindle day”. 📚 I thought this book would be about something totally different. 🤦🏽♀️ Man I was completely wrong. 😆 I’m guessing that this author is going to write a full story, just over small installments. Because this book really didn’t have an ending. The thrill effect was becoming known but didn’t quite make the mark. 😔 ❌ ❌ ❌ ❌ ❌❌❌❌❌🚨🚨🚨🚨 🚨 SPOILER BELOW🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨❌❌❌❌❌ ❌ ❌ ❌ ❌ ❌ ❌ ❌ This book is about two girls that go to an antique store to score “ steal something “. Only when they’re there they realize the horrible doom they’re in. Something’s lurk in the dark and only one gets the opportunity to gets away to find help. When help arrives and enters he’s gone for a while, when the girl who got away goes to look inside she finds her friends face is now stretched in horror. When I say her face I mean LITERALLY ALL SHE FOUND WAS THE SKIN OF HER FACE.
THEN THE STORYENDS………LIKE WHATTTTT???? Ughhhhh Why would it end there, why, oh well on to book 2. Let’s see what happens.
Rachel and Cindy, both 17, live in Castle Santos, a small town in California.
Cindy is the bold, brash friend. Rachel is the quiet, hesitant one.
The girls are about to break into a shop— Mephisto’s Oddities Antique Shop.
Rachel really wants to go to the prom with Zach Pondicherry (nice insert, Zach!). But her overly-zealous, hyper-religious mother believes such events are for heathens. Bottom line, Rachel needs the money from this mini-heist as much as Cindy does.
The girls must obtain the Flask of Randall Flagg (nice insert again, Zach!).
The items in the shop look really sinister.
Great editing and typography for self-published work.
This short story fell flat for me. It's missing so many details, I want answers, where is the rest of this story. WHY were they sent to retrieve a flask? Is the men that sent them to get the flask in on it? What are the creatures? What's their back story? WHERE ARE THE MORBID DETAILS???
This was an extreme short but creepy. Well written. Only about a 20 minute read but these Morbid shorts are definitely becoming favorites of mine for a break between full novels. Two girls go to an antique shop to rob it for some quick cash and find disturbing horrors inside during the night. Short, straight to the point, and well done.
Terrifying exciting! This is a super short read, but don't let that fool you. It's a fully realized horror story that would scare the pants off of those sitting around a campfire. Or breaking into abandoned shops....
It was boring. Not enough tension was built for me to feel any sort of fear or anxiety about what was happening, and then ending just felt like it lacked something. It didn't leave me wondering or thinking.
