My first study by Max Lucado; he's short and to the point but still drives a few tough questions. Great insight into the Book of Matthew; thoroughly enjoyed all that I came away with.

My quilting friend from church heard me say that during Lent I wanted to get to know Jesus. I felt like when He went to sit on the throne at the right hand of God, that I had just left Him there all these years. I've come to love and be close to God and the Holy Spirit, but felt like I had left Jesus out. And what kind of dummy would do that to someone who gave his life for them so they could live eternally?

So, kind person that my friend is, she bought 2 copies of this book, one for each of us!

I found this to be a good guide. Reading Matthew, and related scripture from a variety of angles gave the book a different structure. Also, writing answers to the questions helped me internalize what I learned.

Yes, I do feel closer to Jesus, but I want to know more. I'm reading "Jesus Calling" , and it's helpful, too. We are never too old to learn. And since heaven is where I'm headed, it behooves me to know all I can! Luckily we are saved by grace, but as a reader, I like reading all about it! :)
Blessings to you, and I am open to suggestions for further reading.

I really like the format of Max Lucado's "Life Lessons" series. I especially like the way he has made it, not only possible, but also convenient to complete the lessons totally online. This means that the study is available to me anywhere, as long has I have a device with me.

I also like the insights he gives that show me new things is these books I have read several times. I highly recommend this series to anyone who wants to dive deeper into the Bible book by book.

My first Life Lessons book by Max Lucado. I continue to enjoy Max's style; he focuses on key point(s) and provides focused questions for deeper review and reflection. I recommend this for anyone those wanting more focus or a different perspective on the Gospel of Matthew.

This is my 1st Max Lucado Bible Study I am doing. I am very much enjoying revisiting Matthew with Max and a Bible Commentary from Sir Matthew Henry. I am really learning so much more than before.
Note: I am taking my time to absorb everything I am reading and learning.
