Found this gem recently at book sale and immediately bought, read and put it up along with others MUTTS Treasury books in my collection. This is such a fun and sweet compilation.
I loved this book. I fell in love with "Mutts" when I saw the comic strip a few years ago in our local newspaper. A daily dose of "Mutts" can be very good therapy. I know seeing the comic has helped ease all my stress. I especially love the "Little Pink Sock". Don't know why, since I don't care for the color pink. An assortment of different animals & story lines. These are such great books / comics.
A year in the life of Mutts. Read it together with my kids, and we all enjoyed it. I've been a fan of this comic for years. Definitely a lot of push for adopting pets and not eating meat, but also awareness for endangered species and cats being cats! Still we loved the illustrations and silly light-hearted connection between Mooch and Earl!
I L O V E Patrick McDonnell’s quirky sweetness. I am reading this as a 61 one year old, and it’s love for the denizens of his world just drips out of those pages Want him as my President and Secretary General of the UN.
This year's treasury. Variations on a theme -- monsters, thanks, love. Some plots: Mooch as the superhero Pink Sock; a long summer vacation at the sea; Mooch responding to everything as "So what?"; Mooch and Earl with some wild flowers acting wild (party on!). And, of course, one shots.
Mutts never does you wrong. I love these guys. While browsing the Mutts website after finishing this, I discovered that Guard Dog apparently gained freedom from his chain and got adopted by Doozy?!?! Someone tell me what Treasury holds that gold. I will sob happy tears, I tell you.
This is a perfect read to cleanse the palate of some meh horror and keep me company while I madly try not to get sick. Again.
Thanks once again for the smiles and warm fuzzies, Patrick McDonnell :)
Classic and heart-warming, the further adventures of Mooch and Earl, as drawn and told by a master cartoonist. Even after many years of producing Mutts, McDonnell still keeps things fresh and enjoyable.
