The final novel in the acclaimed New Heroes / Super Human series!

Decades ago the superhuman Quantum received a vision of a devastating war in which billions will die.

Now it seems that Quantum’s prophecy will come to pass. Weakened from their battle with Victor Cross’s army of clones, the New Heroes are unprepared for the return of the first superhuman: the immortal despot Krodin.

In the final conflict there can be no winners.

Only survivors.

Good book, but I’m confused. Ok let’s start. 1st off: What is this Symbol at the start and end of the book (also on the cover kind of looks like a time dial)? 2nd What is all this about the prologue in which the guy from a million years in the future says that Nathan’s sentence is so important, and that it shaped a bunch off stuff. I don’t get it!

A good book, and a good series, but this final addition was pretty choppy. Most of the book was a meandering slog, and then it felt rushed at the end. Some questions were answered, some were not.

I may come back and write more later.

A lot going on here but I find the 3rd act of this to be one of highest achievements in the history of the genre

God book, but disappointed with the end. The series deserved 2 books, like he originally planned.

The end was anti climactic. Such a wonderful series ruined by haste. But I still applaud most of what Carroll did

Im not sure what to rate this. It ends and not badly i guess but the very ending was a tad rushed. Like this happens then this then the end. The whole book was a little confusing time wise but was a good story. It didn’t really have the feel as the rest of the series though it was more serious and dark and a teensy boring in terms of what the characters were doing. Was an enjoyable read and a ‘good’ ending. Just slow and then way too fast. It made sense mostly for how bananas the world and intricacies of stuff is.

Disappointed! Such a great world and cool powers and characters that I’ve come to love. But I don’t think this did it for me! The characters were all wasted in the end, other than Danny and Cross. I wish it hadn’t been Krodin again and Victor had no reason by this point to want Krodin. I wish other twists had been threaded throughout the past books. Dialogue was disappointing. And there were a million grammatical errors. Felt rushed!

Glad I read the series again, possibly more glad to be done.

AHHHHHHH THE CLIFF HANGER!!! I loved it, but WHAT IN THE WORLD WHY THE CLIFF HANGER??? Even though it isn't that major, I still disliked the ending, even if the rest was good...
