Ewan is any woman's dream lover. He's tall and sexy. He has eyes and lips to die for, not to mention his perfect ripped body. He also happens to be a vampire used to manipulate the opposite sex for his own personal interests and gains.
Violet once believed that he loved her. She gave him her heart and soul, not to mention her life to spend an eternity with him. But he shattered her dreams when he planned her death to move on with another woman.
At the present time, Violet is very much alive and she's now a deadly hunter and sorceress. She has waited for a long time to have her revenge and punish her former vampire master. She plans to trick the master of seduction and take that bad boy down. The problem is that she finds out that she's still attracted to him and that he might not be what she remembers. Ewan seems changed. Different.
It doesn't help when her Sorcerer Master wants her for himself and she falls under the charm of his breathtaking blue eyes and dominant ways.
Fighting against old feelings and trying to deal with the new ones, Violet finds herself being the object of desire of two powerful males and giving in to lust.
All is fair in love and war, but can everything be forgiven?
Anna Santos is a USA Today Bestselling Author who likes to write about shifters, vampires, angels, mermaids, fae, and occasionally humans.
Anna always keeps her readers on their toes with adrenaline-fuelled adventures, genuine characters, strong female leads, and romantic plots.
When she’s not writing, she’s probably reading or spending too watching TV shows. As an introvert, home is her safe harbor. Yet, she’s known for leaving the house from time to time and having her family throw a party because they haven’t seen her for days. Then they ask her how many books she wrote while gone, assuming that writing must be super easy.
Anna guarantees that it’s not, but she never wanted to be anything else. Unless there’s a possibility of being a powerful supernatural being in an awesome world where unicorns and fairies are real. Then, she would probably go there and never come back.
Violet feels used, cheated and left for dead. Her main reason for living is to get revenge. She feels her life can only be normal after she's gotten back at Ewan and Anastasia for betraying her. Ewan made her a vampire but now she's more. She's just become an Eylone and with that comes benefits. The sex in the book was pretty hot. Violet had men on their knees begging and it was very entertaining! I received a copy of this book from NetGalley for an honest review.
This is not your normal Paranormal romance. It's filled with excitement and suspense. If you love vampires(and who doesn't)You will love this intense filled book. I read this book once already and I'm going to re-read it again. The characters are so real you can feel their pain, heart ache, and the plight they are going through. If there is any book to read for the new year it has to be this one. Trust me you will be in love with the authors writing style. Anna Santos is an up-coming paranormal romance writer and she has such a grasp with words and creating this new world in her books.
This was a very interesting and good read. It is different than anything I have read before. It has a very different take on vampires and sorcerers and the other paranormal entities that exist in this world created by Anna Santos. It is a very well created and complicated world. This book will hold your attention as you try and figure out what is going on and how Violet, Galvin, and Ewan are truly connected and what is going to happen next. There are a lot of twists and turns in this story that keep you guessing until the end. It's not your typical book or romance but it draws you in from the beginning because it is very well written and interesting. Violet is out for revenge but things keep changing and she has to resolve the feelings that she has when around Ewan and figure out what she feels for Galvin. There is enough intrigue and action throughout the story to keep you highly entertained. Galvin and Violet have to build their relationship in the midst of Violet getting her revenge by drawing Ewan in with a fake relationship. I loved the way that Galvin handled Violet majority of the time. The sex is explicit and fairly often. The characters are great and are what made this story for me. I can't wait to see what happens next in this world that Anna has created! I would definitely recommend checking this out!

So many of you might know that I did a review for Anna Santos awhile back, the book was named Soul-Mate. A book I really did find myself enjoying.
But now I have read her new book Revenge, and I loved it. Violet is such a strong character, she is very tough. The writing style on this book kind of made me think of the Interview with a Vampire by Anne Rice. If you know about vampire stories then you will know about that particular author.
The thing I liked the most about this book was the foreshadowing that Anna did, she sneaks in these hits to where the story might be going. When you get to the end it all clicks together, she does have some twist and turns in this story as well so it still leaves you guessing.
I really enjoyed this book, and Anna does a great job with the story. I loved the ending to it, and it left me craving to know what is going to happen next with Violet.

'Revenge' was one of those books that pulled me in from the start. The storyline was intriguing. Full of paranormal beings with pretty cool abilities, romance, deceit, some hot and steamy scenes and of course, revenge. Violet was a kick-ass lead. But some of her actions were questionable to me. I didn't agree with her logic, but I understood her reasoning. Galvin was her rock, even when she didn't realize she needed one. Ewan was the typical alpha male with a god complex. I look forward to reading more of 'The Chronicles of the Eylones'. A good add to your tbr list.
So I am definitely not with the majority here and that's ok.
I felt like my son while reading this book..." I want to like it I do want to !!!"
I like the premise of the book but it didn't click for me. I felt as if the characters had no depth and they acted very young. I wanted more, more grit more growth. I know that my opinion is not the same as everyone but this was lacking for me. I'm not a huge fan of triangles and so that was off-putting for me, plus the character Vi was in love with to begin with was such a user I couldn't understand how she ever cared for him...

In the 17th Century, 10-year-old Violet is taken from her family by the vampire Ewan who raises her as his daughter. As she grows up under his thrall, Violet waits for the day that he will change her into a vampire so they can be together forever. Turned on her 19th birthday, Violet uses her newfound immortality to marry rich men and pass those funds off to Ewan. Eventually, Ewan finds another young girl and brings her home with the intention of the two of them raising her as their daughter. Unfortunately, not long after the adopted daughter is turned, Violet is captured by vampire hunters. However, instead of killing her, the hunters reveal that Ewan set her up so that he could be with their daughter. Violet spends the next several centuries purging her body of its vampirism and plotting her revenge.
I think I would have enjoyed the novel more if it focused on Violet's training as an Eylone. As it stands, there were three chapters of backstory. There was a lot to the Eylone world that I would have liked explained, instead of just mentioned in passing. At one point in the novel, Violet casually teleports to the Eylone headquarters and meets up with other vampire hunters. Huh? In another, her mentor (and Ewan's uncle) rips open a portal. If we spent a whole novel (or two, or three) on Violet's evolution from vampire to Eylone, it would have made a bigger impact.
This book was also heavy on the sex. I'm not a prude, and I do enjoy a spicy urban fantasy novel, but I think the sex here was used as fluff. I didn't see it as integral to the plot, or to character development.

Revenge spun a new type of mythology that had me very intrigued. This novel centers around Violet's absolute need for revenge against the vampire that turned her and later betrayed her. Violet has been caught under her Master's, Ewan, spell for far too long. She has put up with Ewan's 'hobbies' too long, but when things come to a boiling point when Ewan introduces a new member into the equation. The new member, Anastasia, quickly decides that she will replace Violet with herself and sees fit that Violet should be killed. When things don't go according to plan and Violet is not killed, a girl is to bide her time, in wait, to seek a most perfect justice.
I thought this was a pretty twisted story, honestly. Violet is very manipulative, and I can definitely admire her acting skills. Ewan was deserving of the worst punishment possible because he was a very sick man. There was a bit of a weird love-triangle between Violet, Ewan, and Galvin. Galvin was always in Violet's corner and I thought he was pretty sweet, but a little too possessive. He was not really an alpha male type, kind of a softy. I definitely did not like Anastasia! I think her and Ewan should have died from the beginning.
This was an interesting read with some messed up characters. I did like Violet, but I think that she could have been more feeling towards others. I thought Galvin could have been a bit stronger. Overall, it kept my attention with the new twist of mythology and Violet's complicated plan of revenge. But it was more about letting go of the past, and looking forward to a better future.
Violet is scorned woman and " Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned ". She was not just rejected but betrayed and sentenced to death by her lover and their adopted daughter.
Executors showed mercy where her lover had none. They accepted her in their ranks and made her stronger.
Now she wants revenge. Quote:"I had waited too long for that moment. It was not a revenge served cold, but frozen!"
Her crusade reveals lots of secrets. Nothing is as it seems.
***Possible spoiler alert***
Biggest surprise for Violet is her mentors love. When she ask him where was he till now he replies: quote: " 'Watching you suffer for someone else,'he replied. "
Violet is strong, stubborn woman with a goal. But how much is she willing to risk for revenge? Galvin is amazing male character. Strong man, not ashamed of showing his feelings nor vulnerability when Violet is in question. But will his love be enough for Violet?
*** End of spoiler alert***
This book got my feelings all over the place. You can feel everything characters feel. You just fall in love with them and with book itself before you even know. This is book i will read many, many times more. I'm just sorry i can't post more beautiful and funny quotes without spoilers.
I would recommend this book to ones that love: vampires, magic, romance, intrigue, action, strong characters... it's too long list so it's better to say: to everyone.

I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.
I had previously read Soul Mateby Anna and I had loved it! So when she approached me to review her new book for her, I was thrilled. The synopsis sounded very exciting and my first paranormal romance book was by Anna, which was Soul-Mate, book one of the Immortal Love series and made me fall in love with the genre. And Revenge, the first book of the Chronicles of the Eylones, did not disappoint me.
The story was plotted perfectly. There was so much struggle for true love and honesty among all the lies, deceit, disloyalty, jealousy and hatred. And, of course, the sexual attraction is undeniable. I loved the fact that Violet hated Ewan, after all the things he'd done to her, and even though she would succumb to his charm sometimes, she would regain her composure and stand strong. Galvin was okay, and not much likable, though.
The only thing that was off in this book was the lack of uniformity in pacing. It started out fast, then slowed very much, and then picked up speed again. If this was more uniform, it would've been better written.
And the steamy sex scenes were amazing. Anastasia was definitely a mad woman. Francesca and Sebestien were so cute!
Violet is a vampire/sorceress who was taken as a human child by a master vampire raised to be his "wife". Once turned, she spent several hundred happy years with Ewan until he brought home another human child to be their "daughter". When Anastasia was turned they set Violet up to be killed. Violet's death didn't turn out as they planned as the man they turned her over to decided to save her and train her as a vampire hunter. Now Violet is out for revenge and that's where things get interesting. Violet is a strong, stubborn woman but can she do what's needed to get her revenge? Will she listen to her head or her heart? If you like vampires, magic, intrigue, revenge, romance and strong characters then this is the book for you. This is a really good paranormal story and I look forward to reading more of The Chronicles of the Eylones. Independent reviewer for Paranormal Romance & Authors That Rock.

I absolutely loved this story! Anna is a brilliant author and this is probably my favourite of the two books she's published so far (and that's saying something since Soul-Mate is Amazing! :D). I just could not put it down once I started it.
The story line is brilliant and just draws you in right from the start. It's great to follow Violet as she seeks out her revenge for everything that happened in her past and learns what love is along the way.
There is just an element of darkness and inner turmoil that gives it an edge that makes it impossible to resist.
So, basically I loved it and I'd recommend it to everyone! :) Make sure you check it out!
Wasn't a huge fan of this one I found it to be to much drama, guy treats her like shit. She then convinces herself for about 100 years that she wants her revenge and then once she begins it, its like that's when the process of her becoming over him starts? Idk it just wasn't for me. I have a kicked to the curb stays at the curb mentality so I didn't relate to the back and forth. Sorry!
This was a really fun read. I loved how the lead character grew into a strong heroine, the twists along the way and what happened next (no, a spoiler I will not be). I love how wonderfully descriptive this author is, in terms of both her characters and the well-created world they inhabit. I love this plot with it's action, it's heat (yes, that's a euphemism, but oh my is that heat scorching) and romance. I love the HEA. I guess my bottom line is clear: love it. Highly recommended.
He is a vampire and is used to manipulating the opposite sex for whatever he can get from them. He shattered her dreams when he planned her death so he could have another woman. Now, she's a powerful sorceress and a deadly hunter; Its time for revenge! ...or is it? I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it honestly.
Good fantasy story line. Strong characters w/ substance.action, adventure, some anx and betrayal, drama, humor, love and steamy hot sensual sex.😜 plus, a h.e.a. Ending!👍🏻
It was great reading a different spin on vampires and de-vamping lol. There really is a difference in loving someone and being in love with someone. Team #galvin #happyending Thank you very much.
This book of revenge, romance, and heartbreak really was an interesting read. Violet is consumed by revenge against her Master vampire Ewan and her adopted daughter Anastasia who sent hunters to kill her. She still loves him even after a hundred years, but it is mixed with hate. She won't rest until she kills them both for their plot to kill her. Because instead of killing her, the hunters took her in and make her one of them: a vampire killer. I do have to admit it wasn't too clear who the hunters were exactly and what their backstory was, and what an Eylone is exactly. The details where given out sparingly and I wished we knew more towards the beginning instead of the end. I think the more details in a better way would have made this a slightly better book. And the beginning was a little confusing with the going back and forth between the present and the past. But, don't let these things turn you away from this book. It was a very interesting read, and I really wanted to see what happend next. It was well-written, the plot was very different than I had read before, and I liked how Violet learned the truth about everyone, including Galvin, a little at a time. This book is a book of heartache, learning to love again, how revenge isn't everything it's cracked up to be, and no one is perfect. I recommend it to those who like a little revenge with their love stories. 3 1/2 stars rounded up to 4.
Thanks to NetGalley and Booktrope for the free ebook in exchange for an honest review. This exact review will also be posted on Amazon and Goodreads.
This book was refreshing, unpredictable and definitely worth the read. I have read a lot of romance books lately and as you know the girl always gets the guy. This book was a stimulating change of pace and kept me guessing right to the end. It is free for Kindle Unlimited readers so if you are a subscriber you have nothing to lose if not it is £1.37 which is also pretty good.
Violet was taken away from her family while still in her teens. The person who took her was an alluring vampire who was intoxicatingly beautiful. He promised her that he would fulfil her deepest desires but sometimes love can be like poison ivy. It is not obvious to Violet that her love for Ewan is tainted but luckily for her someone is about to show her the errors of her ways. This is a world of vampire and their hunters. Violet has to swap sides to truly understand the extent of the evil world she has been brought into and what she sees is a cold serving of revenge.
I don’t want to give too much away about this book because I loved the twists and turns therefore that’s all I’m willing to share. This book is nice and long so you can sink your teeth into it.
I love the artwork for this book. This can be read as a standalone novel however I think it is going to be part of a series. It is a full length story with no cliff-hanger.
I try to leave as honest a review as possible when I read any books. Revenge for me had a lot of promise. I was impressed with how well the story started off with bits of history interspersed in this story in the beginning. I was starting to think that this had some similarities to Anne Rice’s Interview with A Vampire. Then the story continued in the 21st century. I was done with this book by the time I got to the 3rd chapter. The story line was very predictable, and could have ended a lot sooner than it did. The story was monotonous with the ending seeming to get pushed back for nothing. There are explicit sex scenes in this book that takes up a lot of the story.
This book is about a little girl that was sold to a vampire because he enthralled her parents. Centuries later Violet is betrayed by the one she ‘loves’ and the child they ‘adopted’ to a faction of vampire hunters who are daywalker/sorcerers. Before she is about to be destroyed she is given a choice on whether to die as she is, or to become what she was meant to be and get revenge on those who betrayed her. Fast forward 100 years later Violet aka Sarah cannot make up her mind on whether or not she wants to destroy Ewan for his betrayel or love him. One thing that was a bit disturbing about this book is that Violet’s ex-lover/maker is the supposed nephew of Violet’s current lover/mentor.
Revenge: The Chronicles of the Eylones Book 1 by Anna Santos is a vampire, wizard, sorceress, fantasy, erotic, vengeful, and romantic book in one. Weird, I know but it works some how. Violet is a young girl who is given to a vampire at a young age and raised by him. She is turned at the age of 19. He treats her like a daughter but she wants more. She is pimped out for money, jewels, and other things for riches for him. Later he brings in a young girl to be "their daughter". She knows this is her replacement. This is when things really go to heck. But there is a hope in the end after many twists, dangers, and soul searching. Lots of action, danger, explicit sex, and fantasy. The characters are well developed and the plots fast and has many surprises. I enjoyed it but I thought it had a bit to much explicit sex, some could have been toned down some. I received this book from NetGalley for a honest review and it in no way effected my review or rating.
I was given an ARC of this book via Netgalley in return for an honest review.
Violet was stolen from her family by Ewan who turns her into a vampire at the age of 19. For centuries they travel the world with Ewan using Violet for his own ends such as marrying her off to wealthy men for their money so that Ewan can have the lifestyle he wants. He begins to tire of her and introduces a new woman into the mix, thats when things begin to go wrong for Violet (or did they) and she is captured by the Eylones, vampire Slayers. Violet soon finds out that she is more than a Vampire. It is with the Eylones that she meets Galvin, her mentor and her lover. So begins her quest for revenge against Ewan.
Great storyline, great writing style and a great read. This had me gripped from page 1 and didn't release its hold on me until the last page. A book I thoroughly enjoyed and look forward to reading the next installment.
Ewan is an absolute dream - gorgeous and to die for (literally) because he is a vampire. Violet believed he loved her and was turned by him, but later had a rude awakening when he tried to kill her to replace her with another woman.
Now Violet is a sorcerer that also hunts and kills. She now feels ready to have her revenge on Ewan by seducing him and making him suffer. She also becomes involved with her sorcerer master so she becomes involved in a mess of emotions and feelings. Will she choose the right man and will she get closure?
Great story that I thoroughly enjoyed. The writing style was good and it had enough twists and turns to keep my interest. As it is a book one I'm definitely adding the next book to my to read list.
I found this book pleasant overall. The characters are interesting, with a good background that makes them intriguing. Although the pace surprised me a bit, being quite slow in the beginning, it picks up soon enough and is enjoyable. As for the plot, it has some nice twists to it that caught my attention. However I admit I didn't relate to the characters, and so Revenge, while it was a good experience, wasn't a great one.
and as usual Anna does not disappoint she's an awesome writer and an unbelievable person I've emailed her a couple times and she's very vested in her fans she has a kind heart and such a talent for writing I hope that people will purchase her book and help support her to make her dreams come true and to give us some of the best entertainment out there as far as literature is concerned
I do love this author and wish her stories were longer only because I become so immersed in the story and characters. It's definitely worth the read. Enjoy if you do end up pressing that buy button!
