I have been a writer from the time I was old enough to recognise that reading was a doorway into my imagination. Poetry was my first foray into the art of the written word. Books were my best friends, my escape, my haven. I am essentially a recluse but this part of my personality is impossible to practise given I have two teenage daughters, who are actually my friends, my tea-makers, my confidantes...

My heart is currently broken in two. One half resides in South Africa where my old roots still remain, and my heart still longs for the endless beaches and the smell of moist soil after a summer downpour. My love for Ma Afrika will never fade. The other half of me has been transplanted to the Land of the Long White Cloud. The land of the Taniwha, beautiful Maraes, and volcanoes. The land of green, pure beauty that truly inspires. And because I am so torn between these two lands - I shall forever remain crosseyed.

I love talking to my readers so email me if you have any questions or even if you just want to chat...

Another exciting story from T. G. Ayer! I like how there’s just enough mystery left to make me want to read the next book in the series. Interesting characters, imaginative storyline...I’d read it again! I received a copy of this book from the author, but freely give my honest review of 4.5/5🌟

We continue to learn more about the Pythias as Allegra andMax travel to Peru to avert the destruction of the city of Qusqu. Old foes and new come together to give them a harrowing Adenture that is fast paced and action packed. Meanwhile, Max and Allegra's relationship grows and deepens as we learn why they have such a deep connection. The story comes to an exciting and satisfying resolution while promising more in the future. Highly recommended to all.

BOOK REVIEW : CURSED SIGHT (Book 2 of A Dark Sight Novel) T.G. AYER

My Love of History, Architecture and Mythology All Get Mashed Up & Rolled into One, In This Great Adventure, Cursed Sight (Book 2 A Dark Sight Novel).

Set in present day, but in a world of Ancient Civilisations too. Imaginative, original and well researched. I loved everything about this book, from first seeing the cover and just knowing I had to read the whole series, to the original world they live in, the mythology, to the main and supporting characters, the way the talk, to the action and adventure and to the way the two main characters support & play off each other. This duo is so in sync they could almost be the same person!

Can Allegra, Max and their support team fight In a race against time and put a stop to a villain made of pure evil, and will the new Pythia "sight" her way into joining all of the dots together before it's too late and save not only themselves and their friends, but all of Qusqu too?

With an unexpected twist of a twist I certainly didn't see coming, Ms Ayer had me crying, with a hurt so deep into my heart and although it made me sick to my stomach, I commend her for making me feel certain feelings no other author has made me feel or do by crying, in a very long time, Well Done Tee!
My only criticism of the book comes not from fault of Ms Ayer, or her writing, but that of the editorial process. There were just too many mistakes that kept pulling me out of the story that affected my through enjoyment of the book.

This is only the second book of T.G. Ayer's I have read, but it certainly will not be the last! I can not wait to read book 3 in the Cursed Sight Series, but it will be a killer wait over the next few months, but I at least I can scratch that itch by reading one of her many other amazing looking & sounding series that have some of the best book jackets I have ever seen!

Well Written, An Original And Imaginative World I Wish To Visit Time & Time Again! 4.3⭐️ Out of 5⭐️

I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book in exchange for an fair and honest review.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. I have read the first book and I loved that one so was excited to read this one and I adored it even more than the first one! This book starts off not long after the first one finished and the action starts from the very first page and you are hooked from the start and you are not able to put the book down, its that addictive to read!

Readers will be blown away by this storyline, not only do you have the thrilling action but you learn so much more about the world that these characters live in and the people within it. There is a wealth of information in this book about where they are and the legends like surrounding the country that they are in. You also find out so much more about the position of the Python and the women who have held that position.

I love May’s character! I could read about him all day. He is so full of integrity and honour. He has strong beliefs that he was always stand by and is extremely protective of the people he cares about. Once he commits to something professionally or personally he will never change course from that! Allegra has such a awe inspiring character to read about! She is so strong in her beliefs and she is able to deal with so much especially as she has only held the position of Pythia for such a short time. She is in a minefield of political drama and deals with it all in a calm and collected way no matter what the turmoil inside her.

This really is an amazing book and I am dying to read the next book in this series and I can't recommend this book highly enough to all readers. Such a page Turner and once readers read this book all they will want to do is read more of this authors work!!!!!

Pythia Allegra Damascus is trying to prevent another disaster but is being stopped before she can even start her mission. Allegra is feeling hurt and betrayed by Max Vissarion. She's not sure if she can trust Max after hearing what General Aulus said about her. Max needs to explain things to Allegra but it never seems to be the right time for it. Max's need to protect Allegra puts him at odds with his bosses in the New Germanic States(NGS). Max's past history with Pythia Aurelia shows the relationship between Pythia and Immunis can truly be. Can Allegra prevent another disaster? Will Allegra forgive Max? What can Allegra learn about her duties as Pythia? Your answers await you in Cursed Sight.

This second book picks right up where the last book left off. Hitting the ground running and doesn't stop until the end. The characters and story were complex, compelling, unique, intriguing, mysterious, honest, raw, real, and bold. I look forward to next book in this series.

Can you trust your own compatriots?
In a not too trustworthy situation...
With a two faced government....

Pythia Allegra Damascus is trying to prevent another disaster but is being stopped before she can even start her mission to Qusqu Peru. feeling hurt and betrayed by Max Vissarion, Allegra really doesn’t know everything and Max hasn’t been very forthcoming, feeling it’s not the right time. Will their squabble ruin the missions much as their trust and dependence on each other?

Is this a fantasy or a mystery? Either way, I love how T.G. Ayer build her characters and sets them in fascinating settings. The character of Allegra is a strong, “take no bs”,intelligent woman and her compatriot Max works well with her. In this reviewer’s opinion, these books have been too short. I can hardly wait for the third book. Highly recommended 5/5

I received a copy of this book at no cost from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

In this second volume of TG Ayer's "Dark Sight" series, Pythia Allegra Damascus and her guardian Commander Max Vissarion are headed to Peru where Allegra's visions have shown her an event of massive destruction is soon to occur. Upon arriving, however, she discovers that not everyone is thrilled with her desire to help, perhaps not even the representatives of her home country's government who are supposed to assistant her - and she has no idea why.

"Cursed Sight" introduces us to several new characters, including the staff who had cared for Aurelia, Allegra's predecessor as Pythia. I found Mara, Aurelia's handmaid, to be a delight. She's a mischievous and cantankerous older woman who's as sharp as a tack and hides beneath her gruff exterior a deep devotion for the women she serves. I hope we see more of her in future installments.

We also learned more about Allegra's enemies and a few breadcrumbs were dropped that point to a possible future betrayal that had the potential to be devastating. I can't wait to see how that develops!

While there were a number of mysteries that kept me guessing up until they were revealed, there were a couple of cases where the foreshadowing was a bit heavy-handed making their eventual revelations a bit too obvious for me. That said, the book as a whole was very enjoyable and has me looking forward to what happens next.

Loved this chapter of the series.
We follow Max and Allegra to the city of Qusqu. Allegra has had a vision that the city falls into a giant sink hole. When they arrive things and people are weird with a capital W.
Allegra keeps having visions as long as she touches a person's bare skin.
She has what she thinks is a vision but after going back in time again she realizes she's occupied the body of Cathenna the Pythia 2000 yrs ago that was murdered by a man looking exactly like Lord Severus Langcourt (the man who tried to kill her).
Was it the same man? Is he the one trying to kill her today? Reading this chapter is worth it. It's page turning exciting.

An addicting read!

An entire city faces destruction...
An unhelpful government...
A corporate conspiracy...
Assassins...
Will Allegra survive long enough to save a million people?

Allegra and Max are back and in action once again. Some surprises and reveals that was just plain awesome, intriguing and curious.

This book is an excellent sequel to Dark Sight - I'm pretty sure it was even better than book 1. Excited for what is to come in the next book. With so many things revealed in this book, I'm so excited to explore what is to come in book 3.

Full of Oracles, visions, surprises, suspense, secrets, action, adventure, danger and romance.

Perfect for readers of paranormal romance/mythology/alternative history/urban fantasy.

Too many revelations for a single day!
This book is another hit by T. G. Ayer. When you start reading it, you can't put it down again.
Our Allegra has accepted the fact of being the new Pythia and she and Max travels to a alternate Peru to save an entire city of a devastating earthquake. Her nemesis, the infamous Langcourt makes his appearance in the same city our heroes are trying to save.
Action, betrayal, romance, beautiful landscapes, demigods and a lot of revelations and visions that will help clarify the past of the evil Langcourt and to save the city of Qusqu from some madmen and their crazy plots to gain supernatural powers.
Thanks to Ms. Ayer and her team for giving me a copy of her book. It was a delightful reading! A perfect reading for a weekend!

I'm lovin' the world created by TG Ayer for her Dark Sight series. The first book in the series was excellent and, if anything, the author has raised the bar in Cursed Sight. Pythia Allegra Damascus and her guardian Commander Max Vissarion Are wonderfully crafted characters and the supporting cast in this series and book (returning and new, friend and for) are excellent. Add in a strong plot (which I won't summarize as others have done a good job of it) and excellent writing and the result is one heck of a fun read, though you do really need to start with book 1 to get the background that will really enhance your enjoyment of this book.

The Drama of Allegra being the Pythia continues in the second book and we learn more about her. Allegra and Max still have some issues in their relationship. We also learn more about Max and his past relationship with other people. Allegra finds out more about her enemies. Will her visions help others or will it hurt her more? Can Allegra and Max get past the lies? This book was a little less intense than the first one I thought, but more characters come into this book. I received and arc copy for my honest review.

I think this book was better than the first book in the series. There was added depth to the characters and the story arc. I feel like T.G. Ayer went above and beyond with this one. The writing is fantastic, with a lot of detail added to make things come alive. The excitement reached a whole new level and grabbed my attention from the first page. There is just enough romance, and the perfect amount of danger. I loved all of the new characters that have been added in this book and I'm excited to see where this series goes.

Another great book from T.G. Ayer with excellent storytelling.

Moving on from book one we get to meet new characters both good and bad watching the story develop with Allegra & Max, watching the chemistry between them build.

T.G. Ayer is one of those authors who manages to draw you into the story and she cunningly gets her claws into you until you reach the end after having had several emotions been spent.

I have been provided with a copy of Cursed Sight by the author for an impartial review. This is the second book in the Daughter of the Pythia or Dark Sight series depending on what website you visit. In this book you get to get back in the mix with Allegra and Max and see what they are getting themselves into know. I really enjoyed getting to see them again and the dynamic between them now that things have changed and to see what will happen next and will things finally be explained between them. I can’t wait to see what happens next in this series.

Wonderful story. Thought provoking. Wonderful characters: Allegra, Max, and Celestra. Due to General Aulus's actions at the end of the previous story, Allegra and Max have developed a cold shoulder attitude towards each other. Nonetheless, Max is still strong in his support of her work. I look forward to the continuing story.

Ayer is an awesome storyteller and I think this book held me captive even more so than the first. I'm crazy for the myths and this incorporates just enough with the plot to show some exciting twists and turns. The relationship between Allegra and Max seem to have reached their own struggles, but it doesn't stop Max from trying to keep Allegra safe. The sight isn't always seen as a gift, and it is even worse when people ignore the warnings that Allegra has brought to light. A must read!

Now this one will be one that is filled with lots of drama. Allegra will have more than her hands full thank goodness she is not by herself either. You will get pulled every which way with this one giving you a filling of this world's troubles. It will all keep you on your toes with not blinking in case you miss something. The world you are thrown into is enough to give you a break from your present one. The characters will keep you entertained by their adventure.

A suspenseful, action packed urban fantasy.

Allegra, along with the help of her handler Max, is still coming to terms with her new found powers as the Pythia. With the ability to predict disasters, they are in the race against time to prevent and save many lives while at the same time dodging a foe with the intent to eliminate the Pythia line.

A gripping tale.

I was sent this book by the author and all opinions are my own.

For the Love of Apollo! This series gets better with every book!

I was sad to see the distance and mistrust between Allegra and Max at the beginning of this book. I can't wait to see what happens with that relationship in other books!

The villain from book 1 is back & has new playmates. I can't wait until he is vanquished!

I am looking forward to the next book in the series!

The visions and the strong personalities make a great action story!
When I thought I knew in what direction it was going, a twist came in to change it.
Because of so many things happening I had to give myself a reprieve once in a while too, just as Allegra needed them sometimes. But never a question if we would finish.

Suspenseful.

Storyline is more mystery than paranormal, which makes it a good read. One through was proofreading was lacking. Celestra a key character, was referred to as Les, Len and Lena. Also frequent misspellings.
