Brook’s life had been a short, hard struggle to survive. Her pack never hesitated to remind how unworthy she was, and how little they would miss her when they finally killed her. A single mistake leaves her running for her life, and tumbling into a world she never imagined she’d be a part of. Before Brook appeared, injured and on the run, Zion Alder had kept the peace. But when he gives shelter to the frightened girl his life seems to collapse around him. Locked in a grim stand-off with the Stone Council and the man he thinks killed his father, Zion struggles to stop the Regent from destroying the very fabric of the Wolves’ society. In the midst of the battle between the packs, Brook sees a chance at a life she’d never been allowed to hope for, and a home beyond anything she’d ever dreamed of.
Packed with romance, action, and hope, this new series is perfect for fans of Maggie Stiefvater, Tamora Peirce, Kelley Armstong’s The Awakening, and the Graceling Realms series.
Fueled by insomnia and copious quantities of sugar, I am driven to write worlds I wish I could live in and characters I wish I could meet. Between Michigan weather and a chronic lack of athleticism, I am left to spend most of my time indoors writing. I thank God for my ability to write and my family for their ability to put up with me. Music is my heart beat, and I bleed caffeine.
Brook has had a hard life since the day she was born, no parents to claim her as there she has always know she was not wanted in the pack and was just biding her time until they wanted her gone. When she escapes Zion allows her to stay with him and his pack but her older pack are still after her and Zion struggles to keep his pack and Brook safe. I found this be an enjoyable easy book to read, it flows well and is easy to follow. Definitely a book to read if you enjoy paranormal/werewolf books. Give it a go!
The reason I gave this book 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the errors with grammar and spelling, or using the wrong word/form of a word. Despite these errors i definitely recommend reading this book. It's exciting, sweet and overall a good read.
