Lost glory: Great days of the American railways

Rate this book
This volume is a pictorial memoir of rail traffic in the United States in its heyday. From the 1930’s through the 1950’s the United States moved food, products and people by train. When the National Interstate road system was created, rail traffic declined. However, the names of the California Zephyr, The ATS Chieftain and Dixie Flyer are remembered in this volume with great warmth.
