Post-Caviar: Barnstorming with Russian Grand Opera

Rate this book
Highlights of the tour taken by a Russian opera company across the U. S. in 1922, as reported by their publicity man. He tells of how he found them on his doorstep, virtually, how he and Hood took the gamble, launched them in Seattle, and then went on tour. It was a mad adventure, with impossible situations constantly arising, but it was a successful venture. Specialized reading for the opera and ballet fans, the Haskell audience, for instance. Of no great import, other than as a novelty.
