I found 'Her Roman Wolf' to be an unusual, entertaining tale. The anachronistic, modern language used between the characters - particularly with the H, Aquila - threw me off at first, but as I continued to read, it actually began to work within this ancient Rome/fantasy read. Still, I was expecting Aquila to shout out "Yo, Adrian!" at any minute.
Speaking of Aquila - he was a hoot. His sarcasm (especially his inner voice) and his machismo had me laughing on several occasions.
The h, Korinna was pretty cool too. She was badassed, and being a magical being helped.
I liked the interactions between the two, but could have done without one scene. I would have possibly rated the book with another star if it wasn't for the lame bullshit that was inserted into the already crazy plot.
3.5 stars.

Her Roman Wolf by Bliss Devlin (The Children of Lilith Book 4)

Being a Children of Lilith fan I was thrilled to finally get the story of Aquila and Korinna. They have been integral characters in a few of the other books and have always been likable, interesting, enjoyable character.
This is an awesome full length book that takes place in ancient Roman times. Readers are transported on an amazing adventure filled with excitement, danger, steamy romance, magic, mythology, and many new characters that have their storylines woven into the book as well.
The authors blurb is an excellent summary of the story. I highly recommend reading the books in order, you won't be disappointed.

I wasnt sure at first...

...having been looking forward to the implied war to come, finding out that all the turmoil from Amor and Psyche's actions have passed by the time of this book and that the protag is their full grown daughter was disappointing (no I didn't read the synopsis). It wasn't until the story was well underway before I began to enjoy it the way I had the previous, and by the end, I felt I could give this 4 stars instead of the initial 3 I'd planned.

Book 4

I have fallen in love with this series. If you enjoy mythology and paranormal love stories, you need to look into these books. They are well written and you can help but get to know the characters.

This series is getting boring. At least I was bored reading this book. I quite enjoyed all the other ones.
