Ooh, I love this series and this was a great addition to it. Well written and a good story, I love the characters and will be sad at the end of the final book, which I've pre ordered. In one way, I can't wait until the final book comes but another way, it'll be sad as this has been a wonderful series and I don't want it to end. The characters and their tale has been such a read! Well done for writing such a readable story.
This man just keeps writhing some of the best books I have ever read. I can not get enough of them. I hate that I have to wait for book 4 but I do have it pre-ordered. Keep'em coming.
Kirby, Bray, and William continue their journey. This time they encounter 2 new groups, the clickers and the gifted. The gifted are like William. They have been affected by the stores and look like the twisted men, but they haven't changed. They are very smart and very old. Also like William, they can control the twisted men. The gifted have tech magic that the group has only heard of in stories. Their buildings actually have glass in all the windows. They have lights and fans. Things are finally looking good for Kirby, Bray, and William. Unfortunately, the gifted aren't what they appear to be and the group finds themselves in trouble once again.
This is book 3 of The Ruins. The Ruins is a continuation series of The Last Survivors. I highly recommend listening to that series first. Both are great! Sean Runnette narrates all of the books and does an excellent job! I'm looking forward to the last book. I'll be sad to see the series end.
It seems that no matter the circumstances people can be the most ruthless and there will always be the entitled few that believe everything should be their way. Not a reasonable explanation why just that they are better that idea is shown quite well in this book poor William can do nothing. But learn the lessons he is being taught but unfortunately for him he has love, compassion and loyalty that the “self proclaimed gods” in the tower of glass do not and probably never did. In every society there are animals dressed up as the chosen!
The Ruins 3 had me so angry 😡.. I wanted to fight for Bray, William, Kirby after everything they have been through I wanted this to be the place. They were better off staying at the Arches or going back to Brighton. But I know as I start reading book 4 that Tyler Piperbrook has them doing some ass kicking! And I can’t wait to see what he has in store for us.
I got immersed in this series after reading the Previous series of books. This series takes you on a Journey with Bray, Kirkby and William as they escape the Madness that was the Battle for the Brighton Colony. The high level of description in those books continues in the *Ruins*. I'm about to read the 4th book the final in the series with eager anticipation, BUT also a reluctance, knowing the story will end!!! I highly recommend these Books!!!
I will be waiting for book 4. Enjoyed this book. The characters are so familiar to me that you do feel like you are on this journey with them. The Author is a very good storyteller and I have enjoyed his books very much.
Book 3 of The Ruins Continues Bray, Kirby, and William's story. They meet a man named Cullen who helps then escape a band of savages. But they end up in the hands of a vile group is smart infected. Will they survive this new ordeal or will someone perish?
This book kept me on the edge of my seat. The characters are believable, they all sides of humanity, the good, the bad and the ugly as well as psychotic behavior of the “ gifted”.
Great book. I am truly worried about my characters. How are they going to survive this prison? I don't think they would make an escape unless all 3 was able to go. Ok, on to book 4, see you later.
I enjoyed following the characters in their latest chapter in search of a safe peaceful haven, to once again be met with resistance. Looking forward to the fourth installment.
I only gave this 4 stars because it just didn't grab me the way the second book died. It was still worth reading , though. On to book 4 to see if our main characters survive .
Things have certainly gone from bad to worse for our much loved protagonists, and I felt sad for Cullen, though I had little doubt he would survive. This book seemed to end far too quickly. Now for part two of book three...
I’m enjoying the Ruins series. The last survivors series was awesome, and it’s great to see more from wheee it left off. He is becoming one of my preferred authors!
Really enjoyed book 2.5 which was fast paced and flew by and was a view into some of their journey before book 3. Book 3 is a good paced setup for what I hope is a fitting ending for the series Interested to see how they get out of their situation and how it ends.
I loved the first 3 books in this series. I read straight through all three and can't wait for the fourth book. This author's books are pure entertainment.
