Avery had never had a home before, unless he counted the northern wilds. Always moving from one place to the next, the idea of a permanent home was foreign and almost unwelcome. So when his brother settles them down with the Summerwood Pack, he finds the adjustment almost unbearable. At least he would if it weren’t for a certain dark and alluring alpha. Although Jarrett is reluctant to let him in, Avery’s determined to give him what they both need.
After the death of their father, Jack and JJ have their mates and children to get them through the heartache. Jarrett…doesn’t. Lonely and heartbroken, the once carefree alpha struggles with each new day, yet at the same time, he’s determined to hide his emotions and deal with his loss alone. At least he would, if a certain socially awkward and endearing omega would stop following him around. But the more Avery pushes his way into Jarrett’s life, the harder it becomes for Jarrett to keep up his carefully crafted walls.
But just as love blooms and hearts start to heal, a new threat arrives at the gates. A decade long search comes to an end.
This is the third book of the (Summerwood Wolves )
This was a great read in this book it's Jarrett's the Middle brother who finds love and a mate after the tragedy from the previous book . Jarrett is having a hard time handling the death of the pack's Alpha and his father he feels isolated from his brothers he's angry with them he feels as though they are not grieving enough . Avery and omega along with his brother Corey has asked for sanctuary from their previous Alpha and where given it they are given it just before the Alpha is killed by their old pack . Feeling guilty but not being able to stay away Avery is desperate to get Jarrett's attention Avery is anything but conventional he was raised by his older brother away from most shifters too protect him from other Alphas . But Avery knows that Jarrett belongs to him not giving up Avery wins Jarrett over they are just what the other needs . Just as things are settling down Avery and Corey 's father shows up . Corey took Avery when Avery was five and ran because their father was planning on giving Avery to a older Alpha when Avery got older fleeing in order to protect his brother Corey ran and never looked back . Trouble strikes when Avery is kidnapped by their father fighting every step of the way Avery knows he just has to hold on his mate and the brother who has always protected him will come for him . Jarrett and Corey catches up with Avery and their father a fight ensues and Corey is forced to kill their father Avery is safe and they get to finally go home .
Rating 2.5 This is probably my least favorite of the three Summerwood books. I feel that Avery was not believable as someone who has lived almost exclusively on his own in the wild. While socially awkward in some ways, his vocabulary and understanding of alpha personalities (which he would cite often) wouldn't have developed to such a degree in that environment. I did like him and his simple affection for Jarrett. I also liked the sensitive way that Jarrett's depression and grief was portrayed. The big dramatic device, however, felt very manufactured and unbelievable. I was also disappointed with how incredibly rushed the pregnancy and especially the book's ending was. Having said all this, I do still look forward to more Summerwood books. While we've covered the three brothers, there are still other characters like Hugo that could find mates (I really want Hugo's story!).
This book was SO RUSHED! Both in terms of pages and in terms of the timeline. It felt like the author knew who the 4 couples for this series were going to be and she didn't have a lot of inspiration for these guys, so she was just getting them out of the way to get to the next book.
As this series as a whole is a bit of a mess. So the first two books are basically one book in terms of plot. That worked ok. This book has a totally separate plot and the last book has nothing to do with pack wars or the chaos of world outside pack. Unsatisfying.

I loved it. This series is awesome. I love how Ruby Nox has tied each book together while still giving you a separate story for each one. Avery and Jarrett are perfect for each other. Being exactly what the other needs. I was given the privilege and opportunity to receive an advanced reader copy and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review. I can't wait for Cory's story. I have a feeling his will surprise us.
A hot read. Avery and Jarret each are dealing with family issues. One deals with a great loss and wants to alone in his misery, the other has always been alone and has no idea how to fit in. These 2 are drawn to each other, and though they are blocked from moving to sexual level many times. No one can tear them apart once they cum together and then later expecting children, even though a villain does try.
Avery is like a child, blunt and innocent. Jarrett is the one suffering the most with his father's loss, he doesn't have children or someone to love. Avery is observant, always after Jarrett, looking for him. I liked Avery and Cory's sibling relationship. I wish Cory would end up with someone too, I think he has also suffered having to protect Avery at all cost and never putting his guard down. Maybe him and Hugo, I wish Hugo would also have his own story.
Fun follow-up gay mpreg wolf shifter story. An omega with a troubled past finds his alpha and outgrows his overprotective alpha brother's protectiveness. Typos: to/too and other homophone mix ups, suit is spelled suite in this book and the last, lay/lie mix ups, punctuation, missing words, capitalization error.
Jarrett wasn't really set on settling down, he was more of the playboy type. Avery had to go through restlessness of being confined but he hoped, he would settle in. Avery had his eyes on Jarrett from the beginning and he hoped, that Jarrett would mate with him.
Loved it and especially loved that they named one of their pups Forrest! Adorable!!! I hope the next book is Cory and Hugo and I also know that I'm kinda going for a long shot but I also hope there are going to books about all the other alphas finding omegas
Enjoyed the story but author really needs to invest time in editing. "Waste" instead of "waist" and "where" instead of "there" distracts from the story and makes it hard for reader to maintain interest.
This author draws you in to her world and leaves you craving more. In a good way. This is simply another good book in the string of good books of this series. The unique perspectives from the the different characters is nice.
The characters are just wonderful. 1 more book to the series left. I wonder if I picked the next mated couple. I hope so. Everyone should give Ruby Vox.
I can only think this was cute, it gave me hopes for the story and a good battle scene but that actually sucked. Don't expect a long story, realistic timing or a good villain cause all is mentioned for the purpose to drive the storu to the end=mating and kids
This was quite a heartfelt and touching read. I appreciated the characterization and how cute Avery was towards Jarrett. The storyline was very engrossing and the writing style was well done. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series. Excellent.
Jarrett never expected to find his mate, but the new, young omega has other ideas. Things seem rosy, until Avery and Cory's past catches up with them. Join the Summerwood Pack for this next round of love and drama.
Running for so long , they finally stopped feeling safe. Little brother found his mate and he's very happy. Older doesn't have to worry about him as much.
I give this book in the series 3.5 stars...I loved Every but for me the plot was just week... I wasn't feeling the sad coming back at all...I will continue the series tho....
Oh I really liked Avery. His cluelessness about social boundaries help him reach Jarrett. Jarrett and Avery are so good together. Once Jarrett committed himself to a relationship with Avery he was all in, picking up the burden of protecting his mate along with Avery's brother. There are some spicy moments as well as some sweet. Nice ending. Adult read
Wanted Omega was a fun book to read , the characters A very and Jarrett were entertaining and fun. The plot was moderately paced with some moments of danger and angst.
Just when summerwood wolves get a bit of rest their new pair of alpha and omega brothers bering in all new worries but the packs got there back they are family and pack
The best one of the series! Ahh my heart broke for Jarrett. He really struggled to get over the events of the last book. I can’t tell you how much I love to see a hurting alpha. They can’t be strong all the time.
The only issue with the series is a proof reader needed, or could be the English prof. In me. Love 💘 the way it was a easy read and made you feel like part of the pack!
