Mr. Dangerous

Rate this book
Rob Delaney
All I want in Newport is a quiet place to heal up from my last mission, some decent crab cakes, and to get Naomi to stop giving me a hard time.

Naomi’s the girl I left behind when I ran away from my over-privileged boyhood to become a man… and a Navy SEAL. I need someone to drive me around Newport since my wrist is broken. She needs money. Simple.

Except nothing between Naomi and me has ever been simple.

Once we’re carjacked, and her life is in danger, she’s stuck with me. Because the Delaney family has some serious enemies, and I’m in a whole lot of trouble.

And that’s before we even talk about the trouble with my heart, because I never stopped loving this girl.

Naomi

My sister says I should have a fling with Rob. After all, he’s perfect on rich, Navy SEAL, drop-dead-gorgeous.

He’s only here for a month, though. And I’m already way too familiar with watching Rob’s perfect body stride out of my life. I’m not going to let him walk away with my heart. Again.

But once things start going sideways, I’m stuck with him if I want to stay alive. Because Rob’s family has powerful enemies, and they think I’m important enough to Rob to use to control him. So now I’m trapped close to the SEAL who’s dangerous to his enemies, and dangerous to my heart.

***This is the first in a three book series, which continues with Dangerous Love (available now) and Dangerous Lady (coming September 2017).***

Hi, I'm July. I come by my love of stories honestly; my dad was always the center of any room, drawing people to him with the power of story.

Unfortunately, he passed away when I was a kid, but I like to think I'm a lot like him; like him, I served in the Marines, adore my children, and having a passion for spinning tales.

I write the books that I love to read, smart, steamy stories about strong women and the alpha men who love them. And I hope you love them, too!

Rob and Naomi have known each other for years as her family works for his, but their class differences have always kept them at arms' length. Now Rob is back after ten years, and Naomi is determined to just do her job, no complications please. She didn't plan on Rob feeling the chemistry between them even more than she does, nor did she count on all the threats they'd encounter as they figured out just what they mean to each other. Their path to each other is littered with misunderstandings, feelings of inadequacy, and self-recriminations. On top of all that, they have to figure out just who is after them, who is behind it all, and how much are they going to have to sacrifice just to stay alive. I was glued to this book right from the start.

This is the first of a trilogy, and I can't wait to be able to read the next installment. July Dawson is a truly gifted author who really knows how to bring her characters to life. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

I love books about SEALs and this book is really good. Rob and Naomi have known each other most of their lives. Rob is a SEAL home on leave to heal his broken wrist. Naomi works for the family taking care of the house and now as Rob's chauffer since the only vehicle is a stick shift. They were attracted to each other back when they were in school together but Rob left to join the Navy and become a SEAL. Naomi has worked with her family's business. The attraction is stronger now but after Rob's father is attacked they are in danger and Rob wants to protect Naomi from any danger. Very well written book with steamy love scenes and family drama. I look forward to reading more in the next book. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily writing a review because I think it is a very good book.

What a great book this was. Chemistry that's off the charts, an engaging story line and characters that you fall in love with. No shortage of drama, angst, danger, suspense or surprises. Second chances, broken hearts, Navy Seals and so much more. Once you start this book is hard to put down, I loved it. No spoiler here, but he broke her heart once, will he again? I voluntarily chose to review this book after receiving an advance copy.

I like this book. The author’s has a good writing style, and I was with the characters. The story is simple at first, then there’s differents events that complicate the situation. The only thing I don’t understand is why this seems uncomplete to me. The part between the main characters seems to be finish, but we don’t really know the end of different other problems. (maybe in book 2 ?)

I really enjoyed this book. It had a good mix of romance and action with some family politics thrown in for good measure. It is well written but had a few editing issues hence the four stars. Overall a good read and I look forward to the next instalment. I received an arc of this book in return for a voluntary review. Overall a good book that's worth a read!
