BOOK 7: Missing Milt
Amateur sleuth, Gloria Rutherford, and the Garden Girls are back! When Dreamwood Retirement Community resident, Milton Tilton, comes up missing, and no one seems to have a clue as to his whereabouts, Gloria agrees to help with the investigation as a favor to her sister.
With her already full schedule and her grandkids’ upcoming tree fort construction/sleepover, plus trying to plan a fall party at her farm; she calls on the Garden Girls to help her solve the mystery of the missing man.
As the clues are uncovered, they point directly at a lovesick stalker, who also happens to be Gloria’s friend, as the prime suspect. On top of that, there’s also the possibility that perhaps the missing man doesn’t want to be found.
Gloria’s intuition tells her that maybe he has met with foul play, especially once they discover possible ties to the mafia.
Will they find Milt alive - or is it already too late?
BOOK 8: Bully in the 'Burbs
"Garden Girl" Gloria Rutherford is on cloud nine since her recent engagement to Officer Paul Kennedy, and wedding plans are at the top of Gloria's to-do list...or they were until Gloria ends up on the receiving end of a financial windfall.
With a generous heart, Gloria shares her newfound wealth with her children but the gift presents its own set of problems. Soon, Gloria is desperately trying to make sure her daughter and family actually move into the home of their dreams once it becomes clear that someone is trying to scare them away; but who and why?
Never one to run from a bully, especially when they're messing with one of her kids, Gloria jumps in with both fists swinging.
As the clues and the suspect list grows, Gloria enlists the help of the other Garden Girls, but the closer they get to solving the mystery, the more obstacles that are thrown into their path.
If all of that isn't enough to make Gloria's head spin, one of the Garden Girls has just been diagnosed with a deadly disease!
BOOK 9: Fall Girl
With Thanksgiving right around the corner, the townsfolk of Belhaven are busy preparing for the upcoming feast with friends and family.
When a body is discovered in the vacant farmhouse across the street from Gloria Rutherford's place, Gloria is horrified to think that someone...a killer, is on the loose.
Things go from bad to worse when she discovers that the body found in the house is none other than her best friend, Lucy Carlson's ex-boyfriend.
The police uncover evidence that points to Lucy as the murderer and possibly Gloria as an accomplice. Police are hot on Lucy's trail and the lead investigator is gunning for her arrest.
Can Gloria track down the real killer before it's too late? Or will Lucy take the fall and spend Thanksgiving in the slammer?
The third Garden Girls box set has three fun and exciting stories about the group and their sleuthing adventures. Strong and independent ladies and well developed plots.
Grab a glass of sweet tea, your beach chair and come join us for some nice summer reads. Missing Milt( Garden Girls Christian Cozy Mystery #7) My Take: Missing Milt is another fun Garden Girls Christian Cozy Mystery. The action was a fast paced with never a dull moment. I loved the characters and it's nice that seniors are front and center.
Bully in the Burbs (Garden Girls Christian Cozy Mystery #8) My Take: I love all of Hope Callaghan books but this one was special. It was fun to watch how Grace and the girls banded together like mother bears to protect Jill , Grace's daughter. My most favorite and hilarious scene was with Ruth and the drone. I cried at the ending and I am looking forward to book 9.
Fall Girl( Garden Girls # 9) My Take: Another Great read that keeps you on your toes, from the first word till last. Gloria and the Garden Girls gives us another mystery. I love all the characters and how the all work together solving mysteries and being good friends who are always there for each other. Two more great recipes are added to end of the book. Can't wait for the next book.
Another great story. Three of them. I can see where the friends are getting closer and that special day for Gloria. I find myself thinking of her early morning routine even if it does change at times. I can guess some clues but was very surprised at the ending of 9. The author is really gifted. Now on to book 10.
Each of the characters instantly become your friends. The way Hope Callaghan writes, she puts you right in each scene. You feel like your not just reading, but somehow your seeing each word being played out. I just love this author and can't wait to open the next book.
Three great reads by Hope Callaghan, it's a set of who done it's with Gloria and the gang. Each book is a different adventure and the girls are in neck deep in each mystery. Gab the set and enjoy three great reads. Great for beach reading or front porch sitting.
I love this author. Her books are fun and light hearted and nothing ever is offensive. This is an added plus. Additionally the recipes we're unexpected but also added to the love.
Hope Callaghan, has fast become one of my favorite authors. I loved the Garden Girls series, and can't wait to read the rest of the series, and future books by Hope. Grab the books and get started reading. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have.
These are entertaining, cozy mysteries, perfect for de-stressing with interesting mature characters in a small town and lots of adventures, but most of all a faithful group of friends who support and celebrate each other with a strong sense of faith in God - very engaging.
This series is fun and easy to read. The characters are realistic and the story flows perfectly from one book to the next. My only issue is that the author uses the word “shuffle “ a lot. Even the shuffled out to the field.
I love all of Hope Callaghan books. Haven’t read a book yet that has disappointed. Keeps you guessing who done it until the end. Makes you laugh at some of the things they get into. Loved it and already starting on the next.
This series is great for those who love a cozy afternoon and evening read. Humour and believable characters as well as great plot make for reading time well spent!!!! Will be reading the whole series !!!!
These books are so good. They really keep your interest. They are really hard to put down. You would be missing good books......if you don't read them.
Very light reading. A little too religious but cute and friendly. Good friends being good friends solving mysteries and almost getting killed many times.
I love how the author describes the characters in all of these books for each specific work. I will continue to read these and until there are no more!
This series has been so much fun to read! The characters are fun and very likable, and the mystery is always a complete mystery to the very end! I would highly recommend this entire series!
