GREAT tasting recipes in here! I have probably made over 20 recipes in this cookbook and 90% of them were better than fantastic. They were heavy in dairy, which Keto generally is, to bring your fat count up, very low carb, moderate protein. I am not doing the KETO diet. I am considering it, but no matter what the scientific research is, to load your plate with cheese, heavy cream, sausage, etc., just doesn't sit well with me long term. I do agree with lower sugar, lower carb meals and you can find a lot of those recipes in this book. #1 positive about this cookbook, there is a beautiful color photo for every single recipe! I love that! I would DEFINITELY suggest taking a look at this book if you are interested in the lower carb lifestyle. By the way, try the lemon coconut cheesecake bites. To die for!
Dill Pickle Coleslaw, Parmesan Roasted Broccoli, Boosted Coffee and Vanilla Coffee Creamer, and Jon's Special
The Dill Pickle Coleslaw on page 280, is a dish my husband asks me to make several times a week. He finishes it within 2 days. Delicious and easy to throw together. The Parmesan Roasted Broccoli on page 281, is easy to throw together and yummy. My husband said he didn't know broccoli could taste like this, and he is very happy with it. Jon's Special on page 110 is delicious and will be made again.
Today, I will be making the Egg Drop Soup on page 184; and the Sausage, Shrimp, and Chicken Jambalaya on page 224.
I checked this book out from the library. I've turned to it so many times that I ended up ordering it online.
Very happy with this cookbook, and now looking at her other books, as well as her website. I could not get the book to pull up on goodreads; only the kindle version. I have not viewed the kindle version
Now here is someone who knows how to layout a cookbook. I am a huge believer that each recipe should have a picture, which they do. Additionally, there is a section of weekly meal plans, this is the star of the show, each meal has a picture, how many servings it makes, and the page number where to find the recipe! I haven't even made any of the recipes yet but they look great, I am a nerd for a great layout though!
So many of these recipes were dairy based so not at all useful for me. This is true with most Keto/Low Carb cookbooks so I was not surprised. There were some non-dairy recipes and they were clearly marked. I am going to make a few of them but overall I will seek out a dairy free (more Whole 30/Paleo) cookbook to add to my regular rotation.
Great recipes, but for whatever reason, the Everything Bagel dogs I made didn't look like the picture. In fact, they looked like the dough melted off the dogs. Not sure why. I've made Bagel dogs before on Keto, but the fathead dough didn't call for butter, whereas this recipe does. I'm going to assume that's the reason. Still tasty, but not quite what I was going for.
I've been wanting to take a peek at this keto cookbook as one of my favorite youtubers uses this cookbook all of the time in her weekly meal planning and prep. The price tag for this book is rather steep here in Canada (it'll cost over $50 once tax is factored in!!) - so now that I'm convinced its a great cookbook - I'll start looking for deals!
Love this cookbook! It literally sits out on our counter cookbook stand at all times. We've tried almost all of the main dishes and they are all spectacular. She's my favorite keto cookbook author; her recipes range from simple to more fancy without requiring you to purchase a ton of exotic ingredients you'll only use once.
As always Kyndra Holley provides wonderful, tasty, beautiful (pic of every recipe). And If you make anything in this book, I guarantee it will be scrumptious! Her recipes NEVER disappoint.
I am a follower of Kyndra and her ideas and recipes for eating keto. I purchased her cookbook and found delicious and easy recipes and much information on how to be prepared with meals to be successful at eating this way.
Seemed funny to add a cookbook to my Goodreads but I borrowed this from the library and couldn’t put it down. Ended up buying a copy because there are so many really great looking recipes i wanted to try! Much more than a cookbook - interesting info about the author as well.
The best Low Carb Cookbook that I have found. Usually I cook 1 or 2 recipes from a cookbook, but this cookbook has a great variety and several staple recipes and seasoning mixes. Start with this keto cookbook and you won't have to buy a ton more to find some good recipes.
I am obsessed with every single recipe Kyndra puts out, so obviously this cookbook was my jam! Keto or not, I'm confident you'll love these recipes too! Grab up any of her cookbooks if you get a chance because they are all equally amazing!
This is the woman I recommend to ALL of my clients! She has some of the best recipes that I have incorporated into my kitchen and some even into my meal plans for my holistic nutrition clients and followers.
Awesomeness. I have loved Kyndra’s blog for years and this book is a great companion to my Keto kitchen. I look forward to referencing this book for my daily eating.
I was expecting more of a cookbook.with more recipes an less about the author. While I'm sure she is proud of herself I would rather have had more recipes.
One of the best and knowledgeable Keto books I’ve read. Recipes are wonderful with a picture at the end of each recipe. Great information on meal prep.
I really enjoyed many of these recipes. They are very diverse and will keep you stocked with plenty of variety to choose from. The photos are excellent.
