After a devastating betrayal, Shelleigh Franklin spent years with her nose buried in romance novels where happy endings abound. Now, she no longer hopes for a happily-ever-after in real life and shuts herself off from the risk of heartbreak that comes with falling in love again.

When she meets Duke Donovan, a widower and new neighbor at the Paradise Palms condo complex, she resists his romantic interest, but the attraction that burns between them proves irresistible. Just when she decides to risk opening her heart one more time, betrayal strikes again in the form of a spoiled, entitled vixen named Dixie, who is out to claim Duke for herself!

Is Duke guilty of succumbing to Dixie's amorous advances? The evidence is unmistakably clear. Will Shelleigh once again retreat to the fictional world where Fabio-like heroes save the day? Find out if there's hope for Shelleigh and Duke when the shocking truth is revealed.

This is a clean, stand-alone novella, Book 1 in the Single and Seeking series, with no cliffhangers.

A Novella with shallow world building. Flow was fine, but I really didn’t feel like I learned who the characters were, to be able to care about them. The story was rushed & predictable. This was a very stiff writing style, which took away from the experience as well.

Cute story

A romance novel that is completely implausible but sucks you in for a quiet afternoon read. Enjoyed! Get a cup of tea and see for yourself😊

Her ex turned out to be a liar so she replaces him with a weird obsession with Fabio. She skips town and meets a hunk who also has a lying stalker, so she plays hard to get for a couple of days but in the end poor Fabio is forgotten.
