Daddy's Fake Bride

Rate this book
Fake bride, fake priest, fake altar....real feelings?

I married my mother’s new husband.

Yeah, let that sink in. I said ‘I do’ to my daddy, Declan Marin, and it’s even weirder than it sounds.

We’re doing Mom a favor and filling in last-minute as contestants on her reality TV show, Wed At First Sight, after two others dropped out. The deal was simple—pretend to be contestants, pretend to get married, then get voted off the show as soon as possible to make way for the real contestants.

But it’s not that easy.

Firstly, I can’t stand Declan. He might be my brand new daddy, but that doesn’t mean I want to go anywhere near him, let alone pretend to be married to him on national TV. He’s a cocky prick, and he’s too panty-meltingly handsome for his own damn good. Oh, and his marriage to my mother is just a loveless sham, so technically he’s in a fake marriage within another fake marriage. It’s like Inception, only it’s more of a nightmare than a dream, because I’m stuck right in the middle of it.

Secondly, the Wed At First Sight viewers love us as a couple. They won’t vote us out, so now I’m stuck on this awful show, sharing a room with Dec as my fake husband.

Even worse, I’m starting to develop actual feelings for him, against all better judgment. Nothing can happen for obvious reasons, but I don’t know if I can stop myself from falling.

This is all supposed to be pretend, so why does it suddenly feel so real? A fake marriage can’t possibly lead to a real relationship….right?

I guess I’ll find out soon, because I’ve never been good at faking it...

**Daddy’s Fake Bride is a standalone, full-length novel. No cliffhanger. Guaranteed HEA. Includes bonus content!**

When Olivia's mom calls asking for a favor she never in her wildest dreams thought her mother would ask her to join her reality tv show "Wed At First Sight"nor that when she arrives to get the run down on how long she has to pretend to want to be there that she would see Declan. Declan has made a deal with the devil if you ask him, he agrees to marry Liv's mom in name only, however seeing Liv the girl he tried to have a last hoorah with stuns him. Now Liv and Dec are paired together but can the attraction that is building between them be ignored?

I thought this was fun. I liked the concept of this story and Dec was spot on where Liv was concerned. Overall a bit predictable but entertaining none the less.

Review Rating: 5.0 out of 5 stars.

Very sexy marriage-of-convenience story with an added layer of suspense!

I received an Advance Reader Copy for Daddy's Fake Bride written by Caitlin Daire and voluntarily reviewed this book. Liv (Olivia) Esposito is trying to make her own way in the world as a jewelry designer, even though her family was very successful. Her mother Ellen is an executive producer for a few popular reality TV shows, and the most recent one she is involved in is called "Wed At First Sight." She convinces Liv to step in and help her out of a tight spot because apparently both a female and a male contestant have dropped out, and the show was about to begin filming soon, so without a full cast, her show risks being cancelled by the network.

As for the male contestant, he turns out to be a guy Liv almost lost her virginity with one night: Dec (Declan) Marin. Next, Liv finds out that her mother had married Declan to pimp her image at work, so anything Liv felt or feels for Dec would be taboo! It is just as well that Liv was paired with Dec as a "fake fiancée," so her mother's secret will be safe for a while. That is, until facts and details start to be revealed, and Liv and Dec are drawn together closer than they expected. Suddenly, things don't seem so fake any more between them, but things around them start to, and they have to re-evaluate their reality TV world as well as their real world, because the layers are starting to blur between them.

This read goes one step further and interweaves suspense into the storyline, with well-developed and likable characters, and that is what made it a great read for me! Things are revealed one at a time, and the author takes her time to develop the story and string you along once she hooks you!

I would have to give this book a 3 out of 5 star rating. The main reason why is because at some points it didn't have my attention. Although, I did like the nicknames that Declan the male main character called Liv the female main character. The really twisted part in the book was when I found out that Liv's mother killed her brother and was trying to kill her too, just to get the inheritance. Lastly the ending was great but it was not enough to change my mind about the rating of the book. If you like books with older men and younger women falling in love, reality tv wedding at first sight shows, crazy, twisted mothers who want to kill their kids for their inheritance then this book is for you.

Wow!!! This is one of the best romance stories that I had read this year. I love the "Fake marriage" plot but this right here is soooo much more. I am still shocked at the roller coaster ride this book took me on. Declan is a really great character, he is compassionate, loving and sexy as all get out. I was impressed with Olivia as well, considering the age difference but the author was able to capture her innocence and show her growth. I am not a fan of reality shows in general but this was like watching a tv show, the drama and contestants antics were so captivating. Not a dull moment with this one, I couldn't put it down!!!

I know what you're thinking ... Rosie, really?

Daddy, Fake and Bride all in the same title! When you read the synopsis, he's married to the heroine's mother, he's an older man and the heroine is younger.

And, did I mention they sign up for a reality show to win the grand prize?! Sounds like a recipe for disaster, but this book surprised me -- in a good (Ms. Congeniality) way. Read it!

Where Have I Been

I have only seen Daire's name a few times, but never really paid attention. I started to a lot of author recs for Daddy's Fake Bride, so I decided to see if she could be a new author to my faves list. I was not disappointed, now I understand the hype. This fake marriage reality show romance turned into a real game of Clue for the characters. This book has a little of everything and is very entertaining. Secrets and betrayal, I was sucked in and couldn't wait to see what happened next. I can't wait to read more of Daire's work.

Wow! After reading the blurb about the stepfather/husband angle, I wasn't sure what to expect. Glad I got past the "ick" factor because I LOVED this story. Both Olivia and Declan are great characters with a lot of chemistry between them. The whole "reality show" angle is great- we all know that most of them are fake and only out for ratings. This book just brings it home how far some people will go for money.

She has to pretend to be her stepfather's wife to help her mother with a reality tv show. Of course, feelings start to develop and it gets complicated fast.

This is a fun twist on the stepfather forbidden romances that are popular. The reality shows are so popular and it added a fun element to the story. It is well-written and I really liked the story.

Stay turned for the new Sorta stepdaddy, older man (mid to late 30s) falls for a young virgin girl (19), murder mystery, mamma dearest has secrets everywhere, fake marriage reality tv show, evil friends and so much more.

It was good, lots and lots of drama with a hit of a murder mystery that will blow your mind. I will say that Declan and Liv already met weeks prior to his marriage to her mother, he a trophy husband to her older and meaner mother.

Liv is 19 and doing her mom a favor by being on the reality show she produces. Declan is in a shame marriage to Liv’s mom and agrees to do the show as well. Unfortunately, the audience loves them and won’t vote them off. The more time they spend together the more their attraction grows. I liked this fun, entertaining and steamy read.

This was a fun take on a fake bride, younger woman-older man story. The reality tv show portion made it fresh. Both Dec and Liv are great characters and you truly root for them (on the show and as a true couple). There is fun, laughter, danger, frustration, hot sex, and love. Definitely an entertaining read.

This is not your typical "Daddy" story. This book is funny, entertaining, and well written with some steamy hot scenes. I couldn't put this one down and I am not a fan of the "Daddy" books. But this book contained chaos, anger and drama. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a HEA. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. This is my honest opinion.

This book was just okay. There were many things about the plot and the characters that I didn't like from the start, and I only gave the book a chance because I like the author and wanted to give it a chance. Sadly I just never warmed up to the characters and had trouble getting past certain plot points. It just wasn't the book for me. It was well written, just not my thing. I was gifted a copy.

Playing to love

I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy of this book and will definitely recommend it. Declan needed money for his baby sister who is fighting to live. There's no other way to get the money then to marry devil. Ellen is up to no good but no one knows just what yet.

Olivia is asked by her mother to be on her show, Wed at First Sight, and to think of it as a vacation. What she doesn't expect is to meet her knew stepfather who was someone she just happened to almost have a one night stand with. Extremely pissed off, she's even more than thrilled when they are matched to be married at first sight.

The game begins with a bang and you don't want to miss the finale.
