The day started out so well, then the bioweapon hit the fan. First, his wife takes his daughter and leaves him, then he dies during a simple sting operation. Now, he wakes up in a mad-scientist’s lab 200-years in the future with his blood loaded with nanorobots. Just when he thought things couldn’t get weirder, another mad scientist makes him an offer he can’t refuse. All he must do is find the Engine of Creation. Weapon is the first book of the Engine of Creation series that follows Gabe’s journey through a future he never imagined. If you like tech-heavy sci-fi, relatable characters, and stories of family and redemption, you’ll love Frank Carey’s Engine of Creation series.

“Weapon” is bog standard SF with more than a hint of RoboCop and Transformers.
A highly skilled cop dies, but not completely, while saving the Earth.
Two centuries later he's back in the flesh and possesses mad skills which he intends to use for the good of all.
There are, however, those who would like to use him as the ultimate weapon.
Not forgetting his daughter …
I liked it (a bit) but I felt I had read it all before.

Don't let the bad review not have you read this book

This is a good book for less than the cost of a drink he did a really interesting story with a real interesting premise. I liked it a lot. I like Nanobots which it has I like somebody who's a badass which he is and I like somebody to work with other folks and he does you can't really go wrong with that.

Good story...

But a little terse. I also noticed a couple of spots where it seems revisions were not properly cleared, leaving duplicate, slightly different scenes.

Overall, a fun, quick read, particularly if you borrow it with prime.
