“Are you thinking what I'm thinking?” she whispered, pushing her hips against his. The way his pupils dilated nearly did her in.
Ethan
There are only two things that make billionaire Ethan White's heart race: fast cars and Laura Corbett. Unfortnately, Laura wants nothing to do with his playboy ways. Ethan thnks that everyone has the wrong idea about him, including his stalker, and he's determined to prove them all wrong. When Ethan's business partner wants to open a new car R&D facility in Colorado, he jumps at the opportunity to be closer to his two passions.
Laura
Thrust into the new responsibility of raising her siblings by the death of her parents, Laura Corbett doesn't have time for awkward hookups, let alone a relationship. So when the billionaire she had a one night stand with shows up in town, she pretends he doesn't exist. She can't let anything come between her and her family.
But nothing can prepare her for the way that Ethan connects with her brother and sister. And she can't deny the fact that jumping in his bed makes her come alive. Everything seems like it'll be normal again, maybe even better than normal.
But Ethan's stalker disagrees...
This novel is the second in New York Times bestselling author Krista Lakes' new series, "Kinds of Love". It also contains a bonus novel, "Barefoot Kisses!"
Krista Lakes is a writer of romances that leave you feeling good and always have a happily ever after. She has two boys and a husband that keep her busy, not to mention two cats and a dog.
So if you've read A Forever kind of love, then you know that Laura's world was rocked and she got a lot more responsibilities. I apparently had a brain fart when I started reading this book cause I forgot who Mia,Carter and Laura were. As I keep reading, my brain woke up and all was good again. Anyway, so this deals with the aftermath of Laura's new life with raising her brother and sister and what she thought was Ethan blowing her off. After a night of passion and she thought was a connection with Ethan, turns into a question of was he really into her or not? Ethan has his hands full in this book. He's trying to show Laura he cares about her while showing her, he's capable of handling kids. Things aren't easy but the more he sticks around and with the help of his bodyguard before he takes his job way to seriously, he shows her he can compromise and make them happy. I must say, I applaud the author by taking this tragedy and the aftermath into the book and making it so beautiful. The kids plus Laura had true fear and concern with flying which Ethan was comfortable with. This was a HUGE issue in this book but it taught Ethan a lesson at the same time. This book has a turn that I'm not sure it was necessary but it worked well with the story. It opened Ethan's eyes to see he needed Laura and the kids in his life. This was a sweet and swoonworthy book. I enjoyed it!
This had everything I love in a book: likeable main and supporting characters, drama, a smidge of suspense and 2 characters who actually fall in love. Yes, there are some well done graphic smex scenes. But this is a love story. We first met Laura in the previous book A FOREVER KIND OF LOVE but the books are stand alones with HEAs.
My only criticism is that in the 1st book Laura was frequently working at the ranch. In this book, she was seldom there. Understandable since she is a new single parent of sorts but I would have liked to see some sort of an acknowledgement of her work hiatus.
Cant wait to see who's story will be next in the series.
I voluntarily and gratefully reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
I received this ARC copy of this book from the Author for an honest review. I give this book 5 stars. The storyline between Laura and Ethan started when they meet at a Museum at Christmas a year and a half ago. They were manipulated by Ethan's secretary. This is a great read. Laura is know responsible for her sister Ivy and brother Dallas. Ethan is great with them.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This was a sweet romance book that pulls you in from the first chapter and keeps you engaged to the very end. Definitely a must read.
A Wonderful Kind Of Love is book 2 in the Kinds Of Love series and is about Laura and Ethan. We met them in book one - Laura manages the horse ranch for Carter and Ethan is Carter's partner in business. Laura and Ethan met at a company Christmas party 16 months before the story begins in this book. They had a super hot one night stand, traded phone numbers, and never spoke again. On Laura's side, she tried calling, but Ethan's secretary told Laura some horrific things Ethan had said about her. On Ethan's side, he tried calling and when it was answered, a man claiming to be Laura's boyfriend told him to never call again.
Jump to about a year after that, and they meet again at Carter's ranch for a fundraiser Mia is throwing. Laura's little brother goes missing and everyone goes searching for him. When he is found safe, Laura is so excited, she kisses Ethan, but immediately regrets it and tells him to forget it happened. They both try to forget...
Now we're into the crux of the story. It's a few months after the fundraiser and Mia has finally had her and Carter's baby. Both Ethan and Laura go to the hospital to congratulate Mia & Carter. When Mia sees the tension between the two, she gets them to go out together and get her her favorite food. Sitting together in the restaurant, they finally talk about their one night stand and what happened afterward. Ethan figures out what took place - his crazy, jealous secretary told Laura those lies about what Ethan said about Laura and she changed Laura's number in Ethan's phone and had a friend act as Laura's boyfriend. Once this is all out in the open, their attraction to each other comes back full force.
Laura's parents were killed in a plane crash less than a year before and she has taken over the parenting of her much younger brother and sister. When Laura sees how well Ethan takes to the kids and how quickly the kids bond with him, she starts falling even faster for him. And Ethan is falling for Laura, too. But how will this work? He's only in Colorado temporarily. He lives in California and loves his life there. Will the promise of a family be enough for him? What about Ethan's stalker - how can he keep himself, Laura, and the kids safe?
I really enjoyed reading this story. It was a great second chance romance filled with sweet romance, the perfect amount of heat, a billionaire who is willing to do anything to make her happy, and even some intrigue. I'm looking forward to reading more from Krista!
The novella, A Hopeful Kind of Love, covers the initial meeting/hook-up between Ethan, CEO of W Motors, and Laura, the manager of Carter's (from A Forever Kind of Love) Colorado ranch. A Wonderful Kind of Love provides a detailed flashback so you're not missing any information. A "meddler" creates a misunderstanding so our Hero and heroine are circling one another at the beginning of the book. Once they're able to clarify what happened, their chemistry picks up where it left off when Ethan comes to Colorado to help Carter set-up the new W Motors facility.
Since the company Christmas party where they originally hooked up, Laura has essentially become a single mom to her much younger siblings after their parents are killed in a plane crash. Ethan wants to spend time with Laura and so he does all he can to help her with the kids, and the relationship he builds with all of them is genuinely sweet and heart-melting. With that said, Ethan seems to turn into another person when he has to fly back to California to take care of business. Laura is understandably concerned and panicked when she doesn't hear from him after he lands...fearing his plane crashed the same way her parents' did. He tells her that he sent a text, but it doesn't occur to him that she might not have gotten his message since she continues to send several more desperate messages asking him to call. The ever-aware Ethan that we came to know in Colorado seems to disappear once he's on his plane or in California. He goes so far as to chastise her when he finally calls to tell her to stop texting. This lack of sensitivity seemed out of character when he was so attentive and understanding of various situations surrounding Laura and her siblings.
He came to his senses in the end when his concern for Laura's safety comes into play when a stalker threatens him and his relationship with her and her siblings. There are some twisty turns at the end which make the ending a better HEA.
Laura loves working with horses and she takes care of her two siblings and at the moment that is her life besides trying to heal both her siblings and herself since they lost both of their parents in a plane accident. She never expected to see Ethan again after their one night stand that she thought was going to be more but seems it was a misunderstanding by a jealous ex secretary. Ethan is used to business and that is his life so when he sees Laura again and feels that thing he felt last time they were together he promises himself that he will not let her go again and to do what ever he could to win her over for good.
What I enjoyed most about A Wonderful Kind of Love is watching how thoughtful and giving Ethan is to Laura and her siblings and what he is willing to do to give them experiences to make them happy. How Laura wants Ethan is their lives but fears that she might loose him again but to enjoy their time together fully as he has made her siblings smile more then they had since their parents accident which in her book means he is a keeper. Ethan and Laura will go through their ups and downs but figure things out along the way that works for them.
This book was an amazing read, but then again everything I have read by this author has always gotten 5 STARS from me. This book has a woman who has taken on a large role as sole provider for her two young siblings after their parents plane crashed, Ethan a Billionaire who meet this girl at a Christmas party had the best night of his life then never heard or seen her again for a year and a half, when they both see each other again they both feel and know that what they felt all them months ago is still there, a love story. If you like stories like this, then A Wonderful Kind of Love is a must!!
This keeps getting better and better. The suspense and romance doesn't dull for a moment in this book. Krista did an amazing job with both the characters and the storyline. There wasn't one moment that I could stop reading, thinking I'd get to a dull moment to stop for a while to do chores was a crazy thought with this one. I'm voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.
Laura has had a rough couple of years. Her parents are killed in a plane crash and she's taken on custody of her two young siblings. After meeting Ethan at a company Christmas party and having a night that she'll never forget, he gives her the brush off and never contacts her...or so she thinks. When Mia has the baby and Ethan comes to help out with the R&D dept setup, he's doing all he can to win her affection...and the truth of what really happened finally comes to light. He's amazing with the kids, but there's only one problem...he has to travel for his job and she's not sure she can handle the thoughts of him being on a plane so much after losing her parents.
Ethan has finally gotten things back in order after getting rid of his crazy ex-secretary. He's looking forward to working on the new R&D dept, but knows it's inevitable that he'll see Laura again...especially since she works on Mia's farm and has become great friends with her.when they discover the truth about what happened, he's relieved and will stop at nothing to have her...until there's a stalker involved. Believing it's his crazy secretary again, when Laura asks to take a break, he accepts thinking it will keep her safe...but how much more wrong could he be? It wasn't Janie...and it's someone least expected for sure.
A Wonderful Kind of Love is, well, wonderful. It's a fantastic story about a second chance love. After Ethan and Laura enjoy a deep connection leading to one hot and sexy encounter filled with passion that leaves them both wanting and anticipating more, unexpected misunderstandings leave them confused, separated and hurt. But when their paths once again cross bringing them back into each other's lives, both Ethan and Laura quickly realize that the deep connection they felt is still prominently present. But with Laura dealing with the tragic loss of her parents as well as Ethan having issues from his own past, they are both left with an uncertainty about giving their relationship a second chance. But both Ethan and Laura quickly become aware that they simply cannot ignore the intense connection they share. Will they both be able to get beyond past events and finally find the wonderful and heartening love they are destined to share?
Krista Lakes has added yet another special and heartwarming romance to her Kinds of Love series. The connection between Ethan and Laura leaps from the pages chapter after chapter and when you add in her adorable little brother and sister, it will make your heart flutter. The love Ethan feels for Laura transfers right down to her siblings making you hope that they'll finally find their way to becoming a family. I certainly look forward to more of this series because I have absolutely fallen in love with all of these characters and would definitely love to see them again in future novels.
A Wonderful Kind of Love is book 2 in this series and can be read as a standalone. However, if you'd like to read the story of Ethan and Laura's one night encounter, it is told in book 1.5, A Hopeful Kind of Love.
After meeting Ethan and Laura in the previous book- A Forever Kind of Love. I was excited to see that now Ethan and Laura were getting their own story. Ethan White is a billionaire that seems to have it all, including an obsessed secretary. After a one night stand with Laura, Ethan's secretary went to extremes and sabotaged the start of his relationship with Laura. A year and a half goes by and now that Carter, Ethan's partner, wants to set up office in Colorado, Ethan thinks he can get Laura to listen to his explanation. Laura Corbett manages a Colorado ranch for Carter Williamson, owner of W Motors. She really liked Ethan but his secretary managed to screw that up for her with a tons of lies Now, she's raising her two siblings after her parents were killed in a horrible tragedy. She thought she put thoughts of Ethan in the past but guess what? Ethan is back & is trying to explain all what really went on. Can she really accept what he says as gospel this time? Does she wants to give them another chance and give that relationship another try? This was a great 2nd chance romance that had passion, romance, action, drama, betrayal, a touch of suspense and above all , true love. Only one issue I have with this story is Ethan’s initial insensitivity to Laura's fear of flying. He acted like he was put out over her phobia and she had a good reason. That was a bit out of touch with the story the author had written but overall, this was a good read.
My Rating: 4.5 stars ***** "I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***
Ethan and Laura hooked up before. They both enjoyed themselves, but have different memories on how things ended up. Once they compare stories, they will find their attraction is still there and as hot as ever. Ethan is in town to help Carter with the R&D facility he wants to open. He can't help but think of Laura when he gets to town. Laura has just been thrust into the world of parenting. She is now raising her five- and seven-year-old siblings after a plane crash that killed both parents. With trying to do right by them and work the ranch for Carter and Mia, she has little time for things that don't include them. Thankfully, Ethan is a wonderful man and makes plans with the kids and her in mind. So many adorable times. Love the beach! He was so thoughtful and helped her take care of the kids as if they were his own. This was endearing. I could've done without the stalker part of the book, as it seemed kinda thrown in to me. It didn't make or break anything in the story, but ended up to be rather important to the ending. I loved visiting Carter and Mia again and absolutely adored Laura and Ethan. Those kids were pretty darned adorable, too. Laura's irrational fear of his flying wasn't that irrational to me, so I ignored that part, too. This is a fun read with lots of love and kindness shown between the characters. I totally enjoyed myself.

Wonderful! When I get a Krista Lakes' book to read, I shut out everything. I become immersed in her world of beautiful, passionate and wonderfully written stories of romance that make my heart soar. I devour yet savor, every word wanting to get to the end but really never wanting it to end. This story was fantastic, an uplifting romance that will slowly and smoothly seduce you, drawing you quickly in, enticing you with a build up of feels and a slow burn that will make you melt from the inside out. I adore that it was dual POV and I really got to know both of them and feel what they were feeling. I enjoyed Laura and Ethan so much. I loved learning about their past history and how everything went down. I loved Laura's positive attitude, willing to accept and move on. But also how cautious she was but open. Ethan was so sweet, pulling out all the stops to not just woo her but also her brother and sister. I loved their flirting and the build of heat they had. Such a special and true connection. But just when you think you have it all worked out, you're blindsided. The twist will keep you reading and guessing until the end. Will Laura and Ethan survive the danger? Will their Wonderful kind of love be enough to get them through? You will need to read to find out. Loved it! This was truly the best kind of Love story! Highly Recommended! Received an ARC through the author and voluntarily wrote an honest review.
4 second chance stars!! What another beautiful read from Krista Lakes!!
This can be read as a stand alone but I suggest reading the first book of the series "A Forever Kind of Love"!
💖This is Laura and Ethan's story...
We met them in the first book and knew something happened there. And yes it did! A one night stand turned to crap.
LAURA- He told his secretary to tell me to never call him again! Seriously I don't even want to look at him but I can't stop thinking of that one magical night....
ETHAN- I am a billionaire so there isn't much I want for. What I don't understand is why when I thought I found someone different she turned out to be a liar and a cheater...
💭MY THOUGHTS...
So I could tell from the first book Ethan was going to be yummy!! And I was right! I also love every damn thing about him. Though near the end he started to upset me somewhat. I'm sad that we didn't get to see Laura in her element with the horses more. What I love about this book is that they didn't draw out what happened after the Christmas party forever. That tension drives me nuts. I think having the mystery kind of fall in near the end kind of didn't feel right but it was a perfect romance. It had all the makings of a beautiful love story. I mean Ethan and those kids...swoooon!! Oh flash back to my original hottie, Carter...the moment with his baby. I had to fan myself!! Great read!
**I received this book as an ARC and in return gave my honest review**
I give this book 3.5 stars. Only because I won't read again. Krista always writes great romance novels, this one was no exception. Every time one comes out I look forward to reading it. It was a quick read. A wonderful feel good book. Laura has been dealt a bad hand. Her parents death has put her life on hold leaving her to raise her two way younger siblings. She doesn't resent it but it's a challenge complete with a whole new set of expectations she doesn't know how to handle. She's lucky she has a great boss and a great friend who's, yup married to her boss 😊. While at a party she meets Ethan. He also works for the same company just on another coast. When she gets rejected after he tells her to call him she left hurt. Months later they are forced together because her best friend has a baby. They need to work out their differences for their friends. Can they make things work when she has two little people who are dependent on her? Can he be with someone who is already tied down? She has a lot to work through to be where she can open up to his life. He had to be willing to accept all she can offer. It's a good romance book. No cheating, no cliffhanger and a HEA. I read this book voluntarily for an honest review. Enjoy!
I thought this was a sweet romance. I was excited to read Laura and Ethan’s story. I loved their connection. It was refreshing to see them actually communicate in the beginning of the book and resolve the misunderstanding/mishap that occurred after their first intimate encounter. I loved the way Ethan seemed to connect with the kids and didn’t try to shove them out of the way just to be with Laura. I did get extremely irritated with him and the way he got frustrated with Laura and her concerns with flying and his safety. I mean, hello!!, she did loose both her parents in a plane crash, of course there will be a huge fear of his safety. Why he got so frustrated with her when all he had to do was call her when he landed was beyond me. I wish he would have been a little more compassionate and understanding of her fears considering he knows her history.
I did wish we would have seen a little more with Mia and Carter. I know this was Laura and Ethan’s story, but they are all close and there was little mention of the ranch or her job considering in the first book she was always there running things. But, that’s just my opinion.
I really did enjoyed this sweet second chance romance and I look forward to the next book in the series.
Ethan White is a billionaire with all the trappings that come with money, including an obsessed secretary. After a one night stand with Laura, Ethan's secretary managed to sabotage the start of the relationship. Now that Carter, Ethan's partner, wants to set up office in Colorado, maybe he can get Laura to listen to his explanation.
Laura Corbett manages a Colorado ranch for Carter Williamson, owner of W Motors. She was interested in a relationship with Ethan until his secretary told her a bunch of lies. Now, she's raising her two siblings after her parents were killed in a plane crash. Ethan is back & is trying to explain what happened. Can she trust him? Is she sure she wants a relationship with him?
Romance, kids, attraction, sex & danger. What else does a book need? The characters are well developed & relatable. Laura & her siblings invoke your sympathy from the beginning. I enjoyed the interactions between Ethan & the kids. He seemed to relate to their feelings. The only issue I had was the reaction of Ethan's character to Laura & the kids fear of flying. This was the first time he didn't appear sympathetic. Overall, a good addition to the series!
I loved the first book in this series so, of course, I had to read this second one. The characters carried over from the first and it was great to get a more in-depth understanding of them. They were interesting and the storyline was not the same as the stale ones I read so often.
The book seemed to start a while after the first book ended, and it referenced events between the H and h that happened in that time period; these things were mentioned near the start of the book. Some things were slightly detailed later on, but just briefly. Another event that seemed pretty important to the story was referenced a few times, but that actual part of the story was never told. It left me feeling like I came into the book when it was already going, like I missed a few chapters.
This book didn’t quite hold up to the standard set by the first in the series. A lot of that had to do with the lack of editing and proofreading. It was rife with grammatical errors: using the wrong characters’ name multiple times, wrong tense on words, etc. It was a bit of a letdown after how well the first book was presented.
I voluntarily read an advance reader copy in exchange for an honest review.
I enjoyed this book. Laura was a strong woman who was dealing with immense tragedy and dealing with it quite well for the most part. Then there's Ethan who pretty much lived the charmed life and yet knew his life wasn't truly complete without a family to share it. He thought he found a connection with Laura only to find out she didn't feel it as deeply as he did... Or so he thought. Their realizations and coming together was very sweet and relatively uneventful. I thought his understanding of her very specific fear was really great, until it wasn't. Sure, he was stressed, but with only being understandably afraid of one thing, you'd think he could find a little more patience. Then enter more drama... I can't say he handled the first issue well, but when things really got bad he pulled out all the stops and handled things calmly, rationally, and with a hefty dose of fear to keep him and others safe. The conclusion was good and also very cute. Overall, this was a good story, one that makes a great follow up to A Forever Kind of Love. I read and willingly reviewed this ARC from Hidden Gems.
A Wonderful Kind of Love by Krista Lakes is the second book to her brand new Kind of Love series. This enthralling story revolves around Laura and Ethan White as they take a second chance at romance. The problem is, she has obligations now that she didn't have before - the responsibility of raising her younger brother and sister after the sudden, tragic death of their parents. This amazing story sucks you right in and takes you on a whirlwind ride as they explore their relationship and have to face the problem of a stalker. The characters, while sometimes a tad aggravating, were real which made those moments just feel authentic and tangible. Almost as if the writer was literally recording a couple's actual memoir about how they ended up together.
Wonderful Kind of Love is a well written book about second chance love and the 2nd book in the Kinds of Love series by Krista Lakes. She takes you on a journey about life that is so parallel with the real world.
This story is about Laura Corbett (who you read about in the 1st book in this series) and she now is the caregiver to her brother and sister after their parents were killed in a plane crash. She believes she is just not destined to find her own HEA after a connection with Ethan White over a year ago that ends in disaster.
Ethan White, comes to the ranch in Colorado to help his boss open an R & D plant and to get away from his stalker but what he finds is the girl he can’t seem to forget…..Laura works at the ranch of his boss.
The chemistry between these two is one hot number but they have had so many misunderstanding that either is sure this is the right person. Will these two move past what has happened and find a new beginning as a family filled with love???
Hopeful Kind of Love is the story of Laura and Ethan when they first meet so you might want to read this before Wonderful Kind of Love but it is not necessary.
A Wonderful Kind of Love... where to even begin with this one. Krista's writing seems to get better and better with every book she releases, and this one definitely did not disappoint!
Laura and Ethan have had a bit of a past to say the least. They hooked up one night while in California, and the next day when Laura tried to call Ethan to get together, there was a huge miscommunication and Laura decides to cut of any communication with Ethan moving forward. Fast forward a year and a half, and life has completely FLIPPED for Laura and her family. Tragedy has completely changed her life and the life of her sister and brother. Ethan is back in town to open a new branch of his R&D Center, and when he runs into Laura again, he decides to face this awkwardness head on. Once the air is cleared between the two of them (FINALLY) all bets are off. Ethan is determined to prove Laura wrong and show her that he is willing to stick around.
But, Ethan lives in California full time... can these two make it work and have the HEA that the two of them deserve? You have to read this one to find out. You definitely will not be disappointed!
I received this book as an ARC. I jump at the chance to review Ms. Lakes books because she has a way of writing beautiful love stories. This one is no different. Ethan works for W Cars, and Laura works for his partner Carter managing his horse farm. Their paths crossed one night at a Christmas party and sparks flew. A vindictive secretary who wanted Ethan for herself kept them apart. Carter's wife Mia would force them to go to dinner and discuss what really happened. While they still have feelings for each other, Laura's life has changed drastically as she is now raising her younger sister and brother. She is struggling with this responsibility, wanting to do right by her parents as well as her siblings. She feels burdened and that she shouldn't have a life. Ethan fell for her the first time he saw her, and is willing to work around any road block she throws his way, and bonus the kids love him. Add in a bit of suspense with Ethan's stalker which keeps you wondering who it may be, and it's a great mix
I received a free advanced reader copy of this book and voluntarily decided to review it
I fell in love with this book pretty much straight away. After a run of misunderstandings and odd occurrences Laura and Ethan do not trust each other as each thinks the other never called and was just a onenight thing
Forced together they realise outside forces were at play and they do like each other. Laura is now guardian to her little brother and sister and her life now revolves around putting them first. She does feel like she should not date due to this.
Ethan is nothing but persistent and he turns out to be a very amazing, caring and loving man and sets to prove this to Laura.
This is one of the most beautiful romance stories I have read and was hooked from the offset and did not want it to end. Well written the writer drew me in and held me as a willing captive. As well as romance and some scorching steamy scenes, there is danger, humour and some emotional aspects to the book.
I highly recommend this book and would give it ten stars if I could
So happy for this book to come out and finish the story of Laura & Ethan, that I first got to meet in A Forever Kind of Love.
Laura cannot forget the one night stand with Ethan, but she cannot let that hold her back. She lost her parents in a plane crash, and now is raising her 7 year old sister Ivy & her 5 year old brother Dallas. She has to put them first, and puts her life on hold. Ethan is helping Carter start his new business, and is determined after the last kiss between him and Laura, that there is something there worth persuing. Mia tricks them into going out, and they start talking, and they realize that they were tricked by Ethan's old secretary. This is a great second-chance romance & I love how Ethan starts out by including Laura's little brother & sister right off the bat. With a little bit of drama thrown in to make sure they can overcome, and still come out on the other side. I love how the characters are all linked, and the flow is so smooth. Great read, like all of Krista's books! "I voluntarily received an ARC of this book for my honest review."
Krista has simply done it again--- another wonderful, passionate and sexy read!!
Ethan and Laura shared a one night stand but in Laura's eyes he is nothing more than a playboy, one that she doesn't have time for. Laura's parents died and it left her with the responsibility of her siblings -- so she regains a new focus-- take care of them only. But when Ethan comes to town she never would have expected him and her siblings to connect so well.
When thrown in a word together, in the same city, Laura can't seem to get the sexy billionaire out of her mind-- and Ethan? Has never forgotten Laura.
These two?? Omg what a wonderful passionate story. This story will leave you with a sense of awe and not to mention a little hot and bothered ---
This is a must read that will have your panties melting and your heart beating so fast with the suspense of Ethan and his stalker. Can these two find the happiness they want where everyone is safe and happy? Grab A Wonderful Kind of Love and find out!!!

After meeting Ethan and Laura in the previous book, I was really excited to read their story. I was already invested in seeing them get their happy ending and I'm so glad we get to see it. In a lot of ways this is a much lighter story than the first in the series. The element of intrigue is less the focus in this book. Laura and her family are the center here. Dallas and Ivy are utterly precious and I love getting glimpses back of Mia and Carter. I really enjoyed reading this book, it just didn't have the same impact as the earlier one. I'm also highly suspicious of the steps Laura takes to get over her debilitating fear - I can't wrap my head around it working that simply in real life. I adored the connection between Ethan and Laura. The effort he goes to in order to make her and her siblings happy is completely swoon-worthy. I look forward to seeing where this group of stories extends to next. I received a complimentary copy of this book
We got a hint of Ethan and Laura's previous connection in Forever Kind of Love. As I was reading Wonderful it became obvious that I missed something because there seemed to be an event that was missing and a psycho secretary in Ethan's past. I found the novella, read it and all made more sense. The short novella at the end of Forever, Hopeful Kind of Love, explains their first meeting and the adventure at the charity dinner for Mia's foster program. Even though these details became evident later it would have read easier if included in this book. Obviously something had happened before, the zing was still there but something was keeping them away. I enjoyed the characters and the kids, very real personalities and issues. I would have enjoyed having Laura working at the ranch more often, we know she works but it seemed all her time was spent with Ethan or the kids. I received my copy from the author and have written my review voluntarily.
I binge read the three books in this series- I admit I liked the first book slightly better than the second and found the novella between book #1 and #2 to be a perfect bridge between the two stories. Laura and Ethan meet at a company party - they have an instant connection and off-the-charts chemistry. But work circumstances and interference from others ruin the relationship before it even gets started. Luckily for Ethan, opportunity knocks again and he has another chance to win Laura's heart - and he will do anything to keep her this time. Those billionaire perks were outrageous! One downside for me with this one was that about halfway the characters suddenly seemed to change - work Ethan acted like a jerk and Laura turned into a bundle of need. When danger touches their lives, thankfully they get their act together and realize how much they care for each other. This book will make you smile and believe in a wonderful kind of love.
I give A Wonderful Kind of Love by Krista Lake five stars. This is the book two of Krista’s Kind of Love series which is a small-town billionaire love story. I have read every one of Krista’s books and just like all the other ones I absolutely loved this book. I felt the author had a great writing style and I feel it was a very well written book. Ethan is a billionaire business man who likes fast cars and one special lady named Laura. Laura recently had to take on the care of her siblings when her parents were killed in a freak accident. She doesn’t want to get involved with Ethan after having a one night stand but the way he treats her siblings pulls her in. Do they have a HEA? You have to read the book to find out! There was some sexual content but I felt the scenes are tastefully done. This book will give you the warm and fussy feelings we all love to have when reading a romance book and I feel it is a must read! Enjoy!
