Who makes memory?

Beth Wilson has been caring for Nonie Bennetti for years. She can see the end looming, but she doesn’t expect it to arrive in the form of Nonie’s grandson.

James is visiting his grandmother to hide from the publicity of a massive real estate scandal he revealed. While he’s there, his mother decides it’s a good time to audit Beth’s handling of Nonie’s finances. James wants to audit something else about Beth, but his mother is relentless. He’s not hanging around anyway.

But Beth, and the small town his grandmother lives in, have a lot of appeal. Maybe it’s time to stop moving around and start making some memories.

Remembering Beth by Christa Maurice is a sweet, charming love story between two very different personalities. Beth Wilson is a lovely young women with strong feeling of what is the right way to treat ones family. She is a very loving person with a really good heart. Beth has been caring Nonie Bennetti and her near relative Jean for several years. James on the other hand is a very suspicious man with strong feelings for exacting justice. Urged on by his very jealous and mistrustful mother, James” mother is pushing him into auditing Beth's handling of his grandmother's finances. Will these two diverse individuals get past their differences and find true happiness together. Will see!!! Ms. Maurice has written a poignant love story that I really enjoyed reading and think you will too. I definitely recommend this book.

Disclaimer: I received an Advanced Readers Copy. This books former title was "Long Memory".

I enjoyed this book quite a bit. Having known several people with either Alzheimer's or Dementia, and being a caregiver to one, at one time...I understood the occasional burst of anger at being relived of the stress of caring for a loved one...even if it seems at odds.

Both main characters were pretty likable, and Nonie and Jean were just down right characters. Loved both of those feisty older ladies.

Defiantly worth the read.

Beth was helping Nonnie and her sister while living in their basement. Beth is a school teacher and well loved in her community. Nonnie's daughter doesn't trust that Beth is handling Nonnie's finances properly so she sends her son James to check on Nonnie and Jean's finances. James is feeling beaten down due to a difficult decision he had to make at work and this decision cost him his job. These two meet and try to keep the simmering attraction at bay.

This is a lovely, poignant love story and it was a fun read. Definitely recommended

I really enjoyed "Remembering Beth" by Christa Maurice. This is the second book by this author that I've read, having received this book in exchange for an honest review. I was slightly aprehensive about reading it because I struggled to engage with the other book I read. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by this story. It had a completely different feel to it and I was able to really get into the characters and this touching love story. It was a great weekend read - and flew by. Great addition to your collection.
Enjoy!

Very quick and enjoyable story about 2 aging and ailing sisters and the daily struggles and stress their caretaker deals with while trying to do the right things by both of them and their family. Characters are real and very likeable. I voluntarily read an ecopy of this book from the author for an honest review.

I volunteered to read an ARC book. This is my honest opinion and review of REMEMBERING BETH. At first I thought the book was kinda short. The characters were not fully developed. The story line was good, but again it fell short and was not fully developed. I was thinking with a title like REMEMBERING BETH that maybe she ran away or was killed or died

This is a fast, enjoyable read about Beth the caregiver to Nonie and her sister Jean, who lives next door. When James comes to visit to get away from the scandal in Atlanta, he knows he'll only be there for a short time. As time passes, he realizes that maybe he doesn't want what he thought he did. No spoilers, so one-click your copy and see what happens. I didn't care for Donna, lol.

A fast paced sweet read about Beth and the 2 aging ladies she takes care of. Both with their own issues these elderly women are all she lives for and it shows. When their grandson/nephew shows up the fireworks start. As he gets to know him and he her their lives change.

My first read by this author and it was a blast. Can't wait for more.

Cute short story. It leaves you hanging a bit - but I'd like to see the story developed further. But I found it a sweet and fast read. I will definitely investigate the other stories in the series.
