This was a very quick read full of steamy tension between the two main characters which lasts throughout the entire book. The author does a great job mixing humor with the growing romance and keeps the reader guessing what will happen next. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a sexy, humorous, and quick read.

A short erotica novel where two friends decide to hook up one night.

The story was a fast read which kept my interest. Too short to connect with the characters but I do think it was written well. It could probably be published as a short a short story in a Playboy magazine and gain a lot of attention.

The title justifies the storyline, and the author carved the characters and the narration to its best. Kuddos!

If you are looking for a way to get your engine revved up for an evening with your significant other, then this may be an entertaining way to do it. The Tease, is just that; a playful, mischievous, fun little escape to help you forget about your troubles. You can tell the author, Melissa Alexia, had a good time writing this story. And although it is told in a mere 59 pages, by the time you reach the ending, you will certainly feel the tingle from the tease.

This is the second book I’ve read by Alexia, and I am again struck by her way of making me feel invested in the characters. Yes, there is not a lot of development or backstory on the two main characters, Kimberly and Travis, but I didn’t feel like I was missing out on anything. This is a short novella where the focus is more on the tension being built up from the “game” being played by the characters, and not necessarily how they came to be who they are. That being said, there is just enough character development to bring the reader into the main point of the story—Will they or won’t they?

What I really loved about this short tale, was the line being walked between innocent, playful fun, and the possibility of the darker side of what could be happening and that innocence being stripped away. That, for me, was what gave the tension that was building in this story another dimension—wanting Kimmy and Travis to finally give in to one another, but not sure someone wouldn’t be irrevocably hurt. In the end, this is a love story between two young people who are just trying to figure it all out. I really enjoyed this book, and look forward to reading more of this author’s work.

It's a sweet ending for Travis and Kimmy but that's all it is. I feel there was more to this story than we were provided.
We begin with Kimmy and Travis being neighbors and friends since childhood. Then one morning Kimmy wakes to find she has "blossomed." Travis sees her at school and immediately makes lude comments, and then the story peaks and ends.
This story would have been much better served if it had more story here. What was missing is where we find out about their past and what they meant to each other:
Birthday parties -where she was the prettiest little thing in pink, the scent of the daisies he picked for her while they were fishing in the pond. Then how his lude comments hurt her feelings and in lashing out she cuts him to the quick. They both swear they would never speak to each other again. They fall into different groups but keep being thrust together at parties were games of spin the bottle end up with passions growing but him not wishing to tarnish her virginal glow. Then maybe she gets taken out back by another boy and he comes to the rescue. This brings them together and they spend more time together and they became fast friends again. Telling each other how much they missed their friendship and promising that's where it should stay- friends. Then the teasing and nights together bring them to the brink, then that delicious ending. (which can use some edits)
It wouldn't have taken much to bring this story to full bloom, (maybe one more page) but as it is, its all boner and no meat.

Short, sweet and sexy – The Tease is a fun little novella to stir your senses.

It begins with Kimberley’s transition from puberty to womanhood, highlighting the confusion she feels when her sexual awakening is focussed on school friend, Travis McVoy.

Fast forward seven years and the attraction between them is no less powerful. Travis is eager to bed her, but Kimberley holds him at bay - and so begins a game of tease.

There are no great surprises here, nor do I think this was the author’s intention. It’s simply a straightforward tale of two young lovers and the lead up to the consummation of that love. The finale is handled well, Ms Alexia achieving the right balance and – dare I say it? – a satisfying conclusion in this heady little tale. An entertaining read.

I liked this story. It is sexy, well-paced, and ends exactly when it should end. The story and its pacing are an analog of what the story is all about. I believe this is what Alexander intended, and she succeeded. I would give this tale 5 stars but for one fatal flaw. Alexander jumbled point-of-view throughout the story, moving from one mind to the other without warning. This just confuses a reader. It’s fine to jump back and forth, but put a break marker between jumps to alert the reader of the switch. (One more thing – find out the difference between “lay” and “lie”)

Heat but sweet

A short friends to lovers story, just when the story was getting good it was over! Only complaint is that it was a little on the short side to develop the characters, but still a fun ride while it lasted!

Eager to finish kind of book

This book had me on edge to finish. There is nothing I can really share about this story except that it was written well and I like how the story unfolded. Good job

A quick read which took us back.
Travis and Kimberly are teenage friends and neighbors from school days who were always teasing each other. Jump forward seven years, and it's the boys versus the girls out bowling. Kimberley accepts a lift home, and the teasing evolves.
Will their relationship survive?
Fun, sexy and believable characters, we enjoyed the story and recommend it.
