I got this book from Booksale, SM City San Lazaro. It's incredibly affordable considering that it only cost 25 Pesos and a handful of articles from well-known political scientists and comparativists at that. I am the luckiest ♥
More than twenty years old now, so I don't know how much political scientists still subscribe to these ideas. But a good foundational collection for the layperson that covers a broad range of topics and theses.
I really liked being able to learn about Duverger's law by reading a section written by Maurice Duverger or Adam Smith's ideas about the public benefits of self-interest by reading a section from Wealth of Nations. This was quite a wide-ranging introduction to some of the high points of Comparative Politics. Very good.
