Avery was raped by an older friend of her father and when she arrived home, bleeding and distraught her father refused to believe it was rape. As a result she left home to forge a life for herself in the only way she knew how. Having sex with unlimited men, drinking to excess, all became a way of life, shutting herself off from feeling and the family she had. She had one friend that she had forgotten over the years, he watch over her in dismay, making sure she arrived home safe, caring for her until she was ready to see the love that he h.ad for her. This was a deeply emotional read, but he unconditional love Greyson gave Avery enables her to quit drinking and keep herself only for him. I think it it was the care and love that Greyson gave Avery which made it possible for her to find herself and leave the pain of the past behind, a rewarding and uplifting read.
