The premise hooked me, but the execution lost momentum. It takes nearly 250 pages of backstory to fully reach the central plot that was introduced much earlier, which made the pacing feel unnecessarily slow. There were too many filler scenes and moments that could have been trimmed to keep the story tighter and more engaging. I’m really trying to push through and finish it, but it just isn’t holding my interest.

OK, started off great & then went completely predictable !

I had higher hopes for a bit more of an outrageous ending... But I needed some Chick-Lit sap, so this served me just fine.
