"A man is literally what he thinks."~James Allen
"Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out."~Robert Collier

I read this book slowly, basically one chapter a week for 52 weeks and concentrated on each week's affirmations.

I LOVED this book. It combines amazing affirmations with lots of practical applications for being successful in life.

A very good overview of the various affirmations. It is intended that you read one 2-4 page chapter each week. Easy to read.

This is a book of weekly affirmations I always break the rules and read it at my own pace, though it might be better to spread it out and delve into each affirmation weekly, I say read it however you'd like. I found it very insightful and helpful. Alot of it may be obvious, self explanatory or repetitive to other self help genre books but repetitiveness is good for instilling it into our brains so it becomes more like second nature. Otherwise they're were some suggestions and advice I hadn't really heard before so I really appreciated that.

I finally finished this as it's a book that I decided to savour week by week this year, with three affirmations on a topic each week. I won a copy of this book from the publisher as part of the Goodreads Giveaways program.

I have read many of Canfield's and other "be happy and you will get the world" nonsense and I have finally realized that they are just all lying. That is is the problem with the world. All the institutions are lying to you to get a buck out of you. They are all ripping you off rather it is govt, your job, religion, etc. You are just a ball bearing and when society has no need for you they throw you out. There is no good in this world and being optismist is a waste of time and money...

This is my 52 week reading for 2018. I have completed week 1 affirmations and have just started week 2. The readings are part of my morning meditations and are integrating well into my practice. Short and doable.
I have now completed the 52 weeks and will be starting over again as part of my 2019 morning readings. Highly recommend.

A practical and uplifting guide for aligning mindset with intention, Canfield’s affirmations encourage purposeful living. Each week delivers gentle nudges toward self-belief and goal clarity. While repetitive at times, its consistency is part of its strength.

Positive thinking is important, yes. But no amount of it will stop what's happening in the world. It's a good book to use to help cope with the destruction and sadism all around us.
