I was a famous rock star. I had money coming out my ass and more women following me around than I care to admit. So when I saw this pretty girl in the bar, I strutted up to her with a cocky smile and totally expected her to fall at my feet before I took her out back and banged her brains out.
That's not exactly how it played out.

For fans of Stevie J Cole's Pandemic Sorrow Series, this book was a long time coming and I am so glad we got it.
Never has a band been as dysfunctional as this one - especially by the two front men - Jag Steele and Rush Wilder, they truly put the Sex & Drugs in rock n roll, (their books are aptly named Jag & Rush and while they should be read in order, this one could actually be read first). Stone Steele bassist, is the more sane one of the bunch, and along with Pax the drummer who also flies under the radar, loves making music while trying to keep his brother from being a statistic. When the band is forced by their label to collaborate with a upcoming female singer -songwriter all hell breaks loose, especially when Jag & Rush are told they can't bang her. Stone takes pity on the talented beauty and tries to befriend her among the chaos and while harboring deep routed reasons why she should never be involved with a rock star, Phoenix can't help but be drawn to Stone, who is showing that all rock stars aren't assholes, until his past comes back and slaps her right in the face.
The timeline confused me at first, having read the first 2 books so I will let you know that this book coincides with the beginning of the series, Jag's book in particular and does not give anything away until the very end. I will also let you know this book contains a certain brand of humor that is more reminiscent of bands in the 80's than the boring PC bands of late, but hey, it's Sex Drugs and Rock N Roll after all.

I've missed the Pandemic Sorrow crew, add on a spitfire female musician on top of all the debauchery that comes with rockers and what you got is a hysterical romantic rocker comedy. I seriously could not put the books down. It had me in stitches from beginning to end. Even though Stevie is known for her dark, twisty books, don't let that scare you out of reading this book. It is entertaining and one of those books you just want to pick up when you need a good laugh. She manages to suck you into the Pandemic Sorrow world and I dare you not to laugh at it's hilarity. What more could you ask for then moody, dirty mouthed rockers. I absolutely fell in love with Phoenix's sassy nature. She's one of those characters that can stand on her own and putting guys like Jag, Rush, Stone and Pax in their place. From penguin exhibits, parties and practice sessions, I fell in love with this world all over again.

I love this series so much. This book made me laugh hysterically and then feel bad for Stone and Phoenix.

But what I loved the most about it was each individual character in the band. They were all different in their own way. How can you not love Jag, Stone, Rush, and Pax. And I fangirled for Phoenix. She was so confident and headstrong despite her weaknesses.

An amazing book!!!

I love a good sexy rocker book in the morning, afternoon and evening. This is one of them. If you love rockers then get this one. Better yet if you haven't read the Pandemic Sorrow series get it now. Yes this is a standalone but really why not read the whole series. Stevie J. cole did a fantastic job with Stone.

Now I kinda thought Stone was a dick in the other books. But he has my heart in this one. Phoenix is what I hoped she be. A perfect pairing for Stone. Both wanting that normal. They are real and sexy. This one had my laughing and gave me feelings. Seriously read this book series. I love Stevie's writing and you can't go wrong with any of her books.

All Of This

This book had me at the beginning and could not put it down. Have you ever had a book make you laugh hysterically and swoon on the next page for the couple? This one is that book. This entire series is outstanding. Stone is sweet and funny as $#!+ while Phoenix is strong and searching for that one person to truly care. Grab Stone today. You won't regret it.

I absolutely loved the controlled emotions that Stone and Phoenix showed throughout the book. Life is hard enough to handle without having fame attached to you. Yet, Stone wants more. He needs more. Will Phoenix be it for him? Or will her own baggage be took much to cope?

Stevie had me at page one. Throughout my reading I cursed, laughed and got a bit nervous with excitement. This is an outstanding book and the writing was executed so well that I honestly think I could do a re-read. And that never happens!

Of the four books this one was my least favorite. Yeah you have a great looking raunchy rockstar which was great but it was a little boring. Phoenix had a lonesome childhood and Stone was currently lonesome. Yes he had women all over the place but fame and loneliness seemed to be getting to both of them. When they finally fall in love, an old mistake drives Phoenix away. Then we get a rushed ending two years later, very disappointing. I can’t recommend this book.

just ok

Stone was a beautiful man, but I think he got robbed of a story. This was a fast read, and felt extremely rushed. I think his story was short, and not enough information. He deserved a full novel, not a couple of chapters.

Love this.

Five freaking stars for P.S. Stevie is an author who writes dark, sexy, and wow. Stone Steele is not like his brother, Jag, he has grown tired of fame. Phoenix is product of fame, her groupie mom still has her grip on Phoenix and her career. Stone and Phoenix take it slow, they both feel this could be more than a fling. After finally sealing the deal, the next morning Mom shows up and throws out a deal breaker. A broken heart, a pass on fame, and Phoenix has a new life. Stone has some drama with the band and two years later, a girl with a guitar and a guy lookin for a beer cross paths. A brilliant ending.

This is one of the funniest books I've read in a very long time!

Cole has a way of tapping into the twisted middle school mind of a man, but making him one of the hottest things you've ever seen! The antics of the Pandemic Sorrow guys are absolutely hysterical and you just wonder where these ideas come from. Even though I was laughing to the point of peeing my pants I just wanted to be Phoenix for about two secs so Stone could be mine...

Maybe some day I'll find my Stone and we will live HEA...

Dysfunctional, over the top, random sexual encounters, excessive drug use, no moral compass.

The members of this group are set to self-destruct. When the group is forced by the label to collaborate with Phoenix on an album, she must contend with their animosity towards her intrusion of their inner sanctum.

Phoenix harbours deep resentment of her mother. Stone and herself form a friendship that develops into a budding romance until his past indiscretions derail the possibility of a future for them.

Absolutely Fabulous!

This book was sooooo good! I loved reading Stone and Phoenix’s story. There were tons of laughs all throughout the story, especially when Phoenix was around her best friend Lauren(whom I absolutely loved). I can’t wait to read more about the Pandemic Sorrow guys, especially Rush!

Really

That ending totally sucked !!!!! The Book was alright. Nothing compared to the others. It just didn't have the same vibe the others did like Stone didn't mean as much as the others in the band even though he did in the others books. To bad could of been really good. Very disappointed!

I fell madly in love with this book. When I first started reading rockstar romances they all kind of seemed the same but wow did this one change my outlook on that. Now I know you just have to find the right author writing the books. Couldn’t put it down!!

I enjoyed this book, although a lot of it was tough to read. The destructive behavior of the characters, both main and side was difficult to read at times. I know many famous people struggle with addiction and other vices and don't seem to have much happiness in their lives despite their fame and fortune. This made the story unbelievably believable if that makes sense.

It's the fourth book in the series, but it's actually a prequel. The end does give a bit of spoiler to Jag's story, but I'd still read it first in the series.

Cole took her time putting this book out. The male is the big time rock band and the female is a rocker that’s been assigned to work with his band to write songs. Of course a relationship begins. There’s humor. Written well. Not my favorite of the series but ok. The ending sucked.
