Well then! That was so good!

Having been burned by Love Inspired Suspense (LIS) more than once, I have been very hesitant to read any more. But I am so glad I read this one!

The subject matter - biological weapons - was incredibly fascinating, as was also the medical info. The MCs, Casper and Ashley, were incredibly realistic and authentic. The characters are often what I find so lacking in LIS, but these ones were fabulous. Their romance was so sweet and lacked all the physical attraction that I find so annoying in other romances. They both genuinely cared for each other, not how "cute" the other was. Casper, in particular, was so sweet and I loved the way he took care of Ashley

The writing style was engaging and the plot realistic and captivating. The villain was completely creepy, and I loved the supporting characters, such as Ashley's dad.

All in all, I very much enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it!

Recommended for ages 15+ due to thematic material, violence, and mild romance.

Fast-paced--and it definitely didn't end up where I thought it might be going. Great job on the action and the clues and covering a huge mystery in a limited space with very few leaps of logic.

Sometimes the word choice was wrong, which threw me for a few mental loops deciphering it, and Redwood as a nurse includes a lot of technical speak that could be funny to read (along the lines of appendages for fingers, though I don't have the book in hand at the moment to give an actual example) but which a few times led me to skim over some health treatment bits just because I needed a few more laymen's terms. Otherwise it's really easy to read and memorable (which is good, because my puppy devoured my copy when I was halfway through and I had to wait for another copy to come in the mail.)

I'll definitely be checking out more books by Redwood.

Fugitive Spy was a very good suspense novel. I tend to really enjoy good amnesia stories and so I was looking forward to starting this book to see how that storyline progressed. One thing I love about Redwood's novels is how the medical aspect seems to be very believable and I feel like that is due to the author actually knowing the topic (she's an ER nurse).

I liked the characters, but I don't think I can pick a favorite. The romance was nice, however I think it moved a little too quickly for my taste. I was intrigued by the mystery and loved following along as Casper and Ashley discovered answers.

All in all, Fugitive Spy was well written and an enjoyable read. If you like romantic suspense stories, I recommend it.

Hmmm... I was really looking forward to this book, but it just fell flat for me. Stylistically, there were a lot of unusual word choices and constructions, along with a couple of definite errors that distracted me and took me out of the story. The plot was fast-paced, which was great, but a lot of other things seemed to move fast as well--scenes, dialogue, character development--and I came away feeling rushed. The main characters were really nice people, but I felt like I had only skimmed the surface of who they were before the story ended. Ashley's faith journey confused me a bit, too; she was supposed to have a hard time believing that God was really present and willing to help, but she would throw in prayers at random times that didn't seem to make sense with her character.

The other thing I had a hard time with was the believability of certain parts of the story. I don't mean the big, outrageous parts where we're expected to suspend disbelief, but other, more normal things. The ER scenes didn't ring true for me with how quickly Ashley switched from medical exam to cross-examination. I had a very hard time believing that Casper could have recovered as much as he did as quickly as he did from a beating that literally almost killed him. Some of the clues and evidence that they found didn't make sense to me (then again, that may be my non-spy talking). It's hard to describe, but I just felt like things didn't fit.

The story was definitely interesting and suspenseful, and other people might like it a lot more than I did; I just never really felt like it connected with me.

Content--violence and injuries (not graphic) ; biological warfare; deaths; ; kissing (not descriptive)

Whoa! This is not your typical Love Inspired Suspense! Redwood has a talent for edging up the fear factor in a deliciously disturbing way. Seriously -- the situation Casper and Ashley find themselves in is one of my worst nightmares. They are up against an evil opponent ruled by greed. Shudder. A man without a conscience who places no value on life...unless it's his own. Wince-worthy action, life-like medical scenes (the author is an ER nurse) and a trail of impossible clues to figure out make this a desperate page-turner of a read.

Jordyn Redwood has been my go to author for quite some time.
Let me begin by saying that she pens with heart and authenticity.
Do you have an interest in spies, amnesia, biological warfare, etc. ? If so... Fugitive Spy is your kind of read. Oh... did I mention that it has a medical backdrop? Perfect for us lovers of the medical genre. As a retired nurse, I can honestly vouch for her medical authenticity.
Thank you, Jordyn. You’ve written another winner!
I’m a fan forever...

At first when I read bio-terrorism I worried that FUGITIVE SPY would go right over my head. But while Ashley is a doctor, Casper is a spy and the story is written in simple enough terms that even non-Biology majors have a clue what is going on.

I liked Casper and hurt that he lost his memory. I did like that he had enough presence of mind to know they were being shot at and to suggest measures of escape even though Ashley didn't take very many of his suggestions. He'd lost his memory, after all. What does he know?

Both Casper and Ashley are hurting characters with deep wounds and realistic struggles (if you can get past a doctor kidnapping a patient from the hospital) and I really loved this book. It is probably the best Love Inspired Suspense I read this year.

And no, I didn't figure out who the bad guy was until the end. Or what happened to Ashley's dad. Great job with the suspense!

Fans of romantic suspense won't want to miss FUGITIVE SPY.

I was given a copy free. All opinions are my own.

What an adventure, thrill ride and high octane intrigue this book is. It starts out with a riveting encounter between two people that explodes with mystery. I thought the author did an outstounding job of keeping readers guessing as the adrenaline rush kept coming. I can’t imagne working as an ER doctor. They must see all kinds of unexpected emergencies. I’m sure the day Casper English came into Dr. Ashley Drager’s ER she was not expecting to be on the run with him.

Why would Casper have a picture of her in his pocket? Better yet who is Casper English? Is it convenient that he has amnesia, or does he really have a head injury? It’s a question that is on Ashley’s mind as she treats him. Things don’t seem to be adding up and suddenly she finds herself on the run with Casper. There is danger everywhere they go and the sheer unknown is terrifying. I was on the edge of my seat waiting for the next powerful twist in the story.

The author has done a great job of giving details about biological warfare. It is frightening to think that at any moment something could be released that could hurt or kill thousands of people. I was very intrigued by the choice the author used in exposing people to a dangerous and deadly outbreak of something we thought was dormant. The book reminds me of a Mission Impossible type espionage. She keeps readers glued to the pages with characters that run for their lives while learning to trust each other. This is my favorite book by the author because the storyline is vivid and realistic. It’s nice to read about a strong and determined woman who fights for the truth and a man who is willing to do anything to not only save the woman but the country as well. Make sure you grab a copy of this book and get ready for an explosive ride that takes you on a journey to underground safe houses, unexpected twists and an ending that will have you running to buy more books by this author.

I received a copy of this book from the author. The review is my own opinion.

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Fugitive Spy. I always enjoy Jordyn's books. She does an awesome job on suspense and intrigues. This one is a great read and I know you are going to love it. This book is well written, action packed and faith filled. It is awesome!

He tells him that information was sent to Ashley Dager by her long missing father. He tells him to find it and hide it, then he dies. As Casper run he falls and loses his gun. He is captured and beaten badly left in the snow for dead. He is found and brought to the ER. He wake with amnesia and a since of urgency.

Let me begin by catching my breath and saying "wow"! Author Jordyn Redwood has penned a fast paced, action adventure, mystery, intrigue Christian romance in her "Fugitive Spy". It was a page turning, don't put me down book, and I didn't until the final page. Just the title suggests a good action spy novel.

Author Redwood never disappoints and always provides a well written, researched, thought out story. This one is no exception. This is the tale of Casper English and Ashley Drager. She is an Emergency Room Doctor and he is there with amnesia. Ashley finds a connection with Casper and learns there are men pursuing him. Casper has a picture of her as well as an identical tattoo of her father's. Her father has gone missing. Ashley whisks Casper away to protect him and so it begins.

This was a great, easy to follow mystery with twists and turns. It has a nice romance with believable characters. It doesn't take long to become invested in their story. I was into the book immediately and began to make friends with this couple quickly. They were thrust into the middle of serious situations and biological warfare. It is a frightening and compelling tale.

The author has a wonderful way of making characters and situations come to life. I love that not only is this a mystery, suspense, action romance, but that it is a Christian one. Sprinkled throughout the story are inspirational messages. The dialog was plentiful, smooth, and sounded natural even for such a critical situation. At times I was tense reading faster to see what the outcome would be. I gladly give this a 5 out of 5 stars and highly recommend it.

Fugitive Spy is a Love Inspired Suspense book and it has plenty of suspense!
If you like spies who are trying to defend our nation against biological warfare, then this is the book for you.
Casper English is a spy and meets Dr. Ashley Drager in the E.R. The problem is, he can’t remember how he got beaten up enough to land him in the hospital. And why does he have a picture of Ashley in his pocket ? Then someone from Ashley’s father’s past is after them both and they are on the run. Will Casper’s memory return? Will they figure out where Ashley’s missing father is ? Will they find out what the clues that he has been sending to her mean? They must work together and trust that God is helping them on their quest. Their journey causes them to confront some of their basic ideas of right and wrong and to look to God for the answers.
Jordyn Redwood is a medical professional, so the medical aspect is very interesting to learn about. I always like stories about spies and this book provided the intrigue that I expected. I’ll be reading more of Jordyn Redwood.

"God's will is what I strive for. Sometimes God doesn't give us the things we want so He can show us His presence in our lives."

A spy with amnesia...and a mission he can't remember. When CIA spy Casper English shows up in the ER, Dr. Ashley Drager is stunned to find a photo of herself in his pocket and even more stunned to find he has the exact same tattoo as her father. Her father who has been missing for the last two years. Ashley makes a decision to take Casper out of the hospital but can they stay alive long enough for her to get some answers and for Casper to regain his memory?

Once again, Jordyn Redwood proves she is a master at medical suspense. I love her books, have read and own every one. She engages her readers from the very first paragraph and then the ride is on! The suspenseful action never lets up throughout the entire book as we are catapulted into one danger after another. The plot here is totally fascinating and one that bears some serious thinking on for our world today. I was mesmerized. Highly recommended.

*My thanks to the publisher and author for a complimentary preview of this book. All opinions stated here are entirely my own.

Fugitive Spy is labeled as suspense but that is an understatement! There is intrigue, danger and never-ending adventure and the excitement begins with the first page. As I continued to read I couldn't help thinking that this should be a movie! Biological warfare is suspected, spys are abundant and there are doubts about the true intent of many of the characters but it is evident that fugitive spy Casper English is a good guy. I enjoyed the growing romance between him and Dr. Ashley Drager and even though there is sexual tension between them there are never any explicit sex scenes.

Author Jordyn Redwood has written an inspiring story that reminds us that good eventually wins over evil everytime but there are many heart-pounding moments and many frightening events before this can happen. Fugitive Spy is hard to put down and I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys mystery/suspense and Christian romance.

“Fugitive Spy” takes its readers on a wild ride before it reaches a thoroughly satisfying ending. The suspense begins on the very first page and continues to escalate throughout the entire book. There were moments when I didn’t think things could get any worse for the intrepid team of Casper English and Dr. Ashley Drager but lo and behold, that’s exactly what happened.

There’s a lot going on in this suspense filled book but I hesitate to say very much. It’s a story readers really need to read for themselves. I will give a few hints to hopefully make the book irresistible. Spies, amnesia, medical suspense, secrets, missing father, action, danger, technology, germ warfare, safe house, betrayal, romance, and faith – this is just a taste of what you will find in this amazing book.

I thoroughly enjoyed “Fugitive Spy” and hope others will take a chance on it if they are not already aware of Jordyn Redwood’s awesome books.

Dr. Ashley Drager is shocked to see that Casper English, a patient in the ER, has her photo and a tattoo that matches her father’s. Unfortunately, Casper has amnesia and is of little assistance. Ashley senses that the best chance she has of learning what happened to her missing father is to help Casper regain his memories, and she’s determined to do whatever it takes to make that happen. They embark on a journey that will place them in danger at every turn, and Ashley can barely comprehend the information that’s uncovered. Will the clues her father left behind lead them to the answers she’s longing for, as well as to her father, or will it lead them to unimaginable end?

Action and suspense start early on, and they don’t stop until the last page. The pace stays active throughout.

If your like me and you don't read the description on the back of the book this book is a Medical suspense. This story is about a Dr Ashley Drager seeking answers after Casper shows up with a picture of her and amnesia and so the adventure begins and they need to find her dad who may hold the answers to whats really going on. But can they do it all before its to late or will the people who are after them get to her dad first?
This book really has you on the edge of your seat its a true page turner keeps you guessing and leaves you wanting more with each chapter. The author those in twist and turns and ties the book up at the end nicely, your not left wondering. I really enjoyed that the book was a good clean read and that the author didn't make the two characters these perfect people but she made them feel like the average person looking to find answers. I really enjoyed the suspense and the love story. Your really cant go wrong with this quick read.

Expect the unexpected....

Having read, and loved, a couple of the books from her Bloodline Trilogy, I really looked forward to checking out Jordyn Redwood's Love Inspired Suspense. Fugitive Spy was the perfect place to start! I loved it! The story started off with a bang and took me, as the reader, on a wild ride of danger, intrigue, and romance.

Jordyn Redwood's own career as nurse really shines through in all of the medical details, no matter how tiny. I think that was probably one of my top favorite parts of the story, I didn't have to wonder if certain things were accurate or not. Another favorite part of the story is that Fugitive Spy did not in any way go in the direction I expected. It is not your run-of-the-mill Love Inspired Suspense at all. If you like to be surprised and you love romantic suspense you really should get your hands on a copy of this book.

WOW!!!!! This book should come with a warning label that reads... "Buckle up for a wild ride!" This book is a quick read because you can't put it down once you start reading it. With a very determined adversary after them, Casper and Ashley can barely stay one step ahead of him. From things blowing up to a deadly bioweapon, you will wonder if Casper and Ashley will ever come out of this ordeal in one piece or even alive. There is plenty of suspense, romance and inspirational quotes weaved together in a way that just works. This book has everything in it that will make you want to turn to the last page to see how it all turns out.....but don't do it! I loved it and I may have to read it again just to make sure I didn't miss anything the first time I read it. Don't forget to buckle up before you start reading and enjoy!

This book is a Christian suspense story with some romance . It was a real lesson of biological warfare which made the story very current and believable.
Casper English , a CIA agent who is being pursued , ends up having a fall that causes amnesia and puts his life in peril. The ER physician that helps him is Ashley Drager. When she realizes people want to take him and likely kill him, she kidnaps him and ends up going on the run with him.
The plot and characters were engaging. The suspense was constant while Casper and Ashley try to find out what’s happening with a potential virus that could become epidemic. Her father has been sending her clues, but she is also realizing he might not be the person she thought he was. Is he a good guy or not?
Another entertaining book by this talented author.

Spies, mysterious men, a disappearing father, and medical questions all add up to the newest book by Jordyn Redwood. If you like fast-paced suspense with a medical backdrop, this book is a must read! In this medical mystery, Dr. Ashley Drager discovers a man, Casper English, in her ER with amnesia who has a picture of her - but she doesn't know the man. When strange people begin asking questions about Casper, Ashley decides to move him in order to protect him and find out if he is possibly connected to her father's disappearance. What follows is a dangerous journey to discover answers for Casper, for Ashley, and possibly for the world. Can they survive the journey and will a relationship develop from this? Fugitive Spy gripped me from the beginning and I didn't want to go even when I turned the final page. I loved the premise of the story – it was scary but unfortunately believable in today's society. I loved the safe houses, the technology used in the book (way more advanced then myself) and the way the author kept the storyline going between the hero and heroine while at the same time creating a complex, intriguing, can't put it down thriller. Loved this book – the characters were believable, the storyline was believable and the ending was amazing. Fugitive Spy, a Love Inspired Suspense, by Jordyn Redwood begins with tension and danger and forges ahead with fast-paced action. An attack that leaves spy, Casper English, with amnesia leads to the ER where Dr. Ashley Drager discovers that he has a photo of her and the exact tattoo that her missing father has. She does not know Casper, and her father abandoned his family a long time ago. The two must partner to fit all of the pieces of the mystery together and to escape the danger, pursuing them. Truly, a page-turner that will keep the reader engaged to the end. I received a copy with no obligation to write a favorable review.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Casper and Ashley's story. The story begins with a puzzle that has to be solved. As the story picks up pace you begin to learn the story is biological warfare. She keeps the story fascinatinating without being technical so that you can follow the story. Its so neat that you are turning the pages to see what is going to happen next with Casper and Ashley. I love the ending as well. Its kinda different because of their experiences. I loved the story and how it was written.

This is an amazing book! I absolutely loved it! The action started immediately and continued until the very end of the book. Her characters are so real that you can’t stop thinking about them even after you are finished with the book. This is her best book yet in her Love Inspired Suspense Series. I will not say anything about the book as you need to read it for yourself. I highly recommend it and know you will enjoy it as much as I have. Jordyn is an awesome author and I love all of her books.

I loved the ripped from the headlines feel of this book. The plot and characters are also deeper than your average category RS. Ms. Redmond’s day job as a pedi attic ER nurse serves her well with all the medical details in the book. You feel like you’ve got inside information in this edge-of-your-seat thriller.
Right after I started reading this book the Russian double agent and his daughter were poisoned with a nerve agent in Salisbury UK. You can’t get any closer to real life then this - there’s two more weeks left in March - grab this excellent romantic suspense!

This was a disappointment to me - first of her books that weren't at least 4 stars for me - pretty sure

although it may be true that a person's amnesia can work as the hero's has - it's coming across as contrived - less than believable.
ALSO
in two places the word EXACERBATE was used for EXASPERATE - WAY different meanings - LOL

ALSO _ The character, Jared, has NO RESPECT for human life - does NOT hold it sacred - he wouldn't give a rip about the child he left behind.

This book is not up to Jordyn's standard of excellent writing.
