Raven was just an ordinary vampire until Fate chose her as the new vampire queen. Or at least she thought Fate was behind her new royal status until she found out about the curse.
Now, Raven isn’t sure what to believe or who to trust.
She’s also started remembering little details about the past, and the events that led up to the curse. And she realizes she might be partly to blame for why her, and her loved ones, have been cursed to live the same life over and over again.
Jessica Sorensen is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author from the snowy mountains of Wyoming. When she's not writing, she spends her time reading and hanging out with her family.
I like and sort of don’t like how short the book is. I like reading short books, but then I kind of want more. So I’m on the fence.
A lot more questions are answered and a lot more questions are questioned.
I wasn’t too nervous about this book because the reviews seem to be good. I’m nervous about the next book only because the reviews are worse and that’s the last book that is out. I know the author is known for her cliffys so I’m scared to what the next cliffy will be.
So I can say Raven and Rhy progress in this story and that really made the book. A lot more events happen and a lot more characters come to play but all that didn’t matter except for the crazy and Raven and Rhy storyline.
I sort of liked and sort of didn’t like the flashbacks / past memories, but they were needed because it told the tale of how Raven got to where she is now. It’s a sad tragic love tale, but I really did love it.
So many things are thrown at your way! Off to read the next book.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again-I absolutely love Jessica Sorensen books and this series in particular, but the books are just too short:( Honestly instead of being full length novels like they’re supposed to, they are more like serials because honestly I’ve read some(serials that is) that are longer than these books. But the thing is with serials a new part comes out every 2 weeks to a month so it isn’t a long wait unlike the 3 months between each book Jessica releases. Other than that this was a really good continuation the Raven, Kingsley, and Rhyland’s story and I can’t wait to see what happens next.
I like how fast this story is progressing. I did enjoy it as much as the first one but for some reasons the super long flashbacks really bored me.
And can I just say that almost all of this author's heroine look the same?! This is the fourth series that I follow so I doubt it's just a coincidence. Apart from different hair color, this author's heroines tend to be tall, ""gangly"" but oh so attractive. Just something I noticed.
I realize her reliving her life with few differences is part of the curse & overall story arc but I don’t enjoy the constant cluelessness. I’m not going to continue this series.
I often find short books frustrating, but this one was ridiculous. Nothing happened. Yes she gets some memories, but it's cheesy and boring.
The story basically paused while memories came back. Yet no real answers about the 'curse'. nothing happened beyond going to the land. A lot of pointless chapters, that had no action and a lot of pointless dialog.
Incredibly boring book, the story line took a complete turn, one that isn't as interesting as the first book. I'm not going to spoil it, but apparently the vampires are dumb teens who are constantly outsmarted by the fae queen.
This book felt like the story had not been thought through, not had much story development. Rushed to reveal some facts, yet dragging on others.
It’s the short and sweet that I love. Get to the point and move on. And Jessica Sorensen does that like a boss. This book picks up directly where the other one drops off. Finally, the secrets are revealed and things become clearer. Now it is a waiting game for the next book.
I don't want to wait for the 3rd book! Pa-lease Jessica! End this prolonged torture. Isn't enough I had to deal with Nadine and the Fey Queen? Seriously evil beings. I sure hope book 3 provides a real wing dinger of a wallop against them. Grrr. So let's recap...shall we. Raven figures it out! Yes! We don't know why!?! No! She chomps on Rhy! Double yes yes! Then evil Nadine ruins it! Oh no you didn't! Now everyone is missing. We have enough backstory to know that our raven and Rhy love story was ripped from them cruelly but we don't know why! AND...yes there is an and...Kings knows an even graver secret about our mysterious Raven. At the same time an army is coming to wreck havoc. Ok. Again. Third book now please. I also need all loose ends neatly tied up and I'm desperate for Raven and Rhy to have a happy ending. Yes! Chop chop Jessica...
I am absolutely hooked on this series. The things that's driving me crazy is the books are so short! I've read the 1st two in one day! That is not something I normally do with a Jessica Sorensen book. I'm a little bummed on that part. I do however love the chemistry between Rhyland and Raven. I'm going to start the 3rd book in the series tonight. I hope the next in the series is longer. Since I've read reviews I know that the series does not conclude with the 3rd book. I hope a 4th is in the making and maybe there will be a happy ever after in the future for all the people involved in the curse. Well maybe not Nadine. Pretty sure she does not deserve a HEA.
Tempting Raven ended so abrutly that I couldn't not start Enchanting Raven imediately after putting the first down. I have to say book two was way better then book 1 with more back stories being included ive fallen in love with the characters a little more. I'm not sure which brother to root for. Rhyland or Kingsley? Rhyland is Dark and Mysterious but Kingsley how can I not love him? The decisions. I can not wait to get my hands on book 3
I am really enjoying this series. I usually skip the teen books but I like Jessica’s writing style. They are different fun concepts. The one thing that I don’t really like is the books seem to end in a sort of cliffhanger but I guess that leaves me wanting the next one.
Fantastic book! The kind of book that flawlessly blends into the next book with characters you really enjoy reading about and desperately wants to know what happens next.. I've heard countless stories that are similar to this yet this one really leaves you wanting to know more. five stars is the least I would give it!
Okay now, this book felt shorter then the first book and I don't like that even though I did not mind the ending of this book. it was good with some twists and god there are secrets😱 lol. I do like the main characters in this book even though I'm not sure if I trust the stylist yet but I was hoping to see her friends more in this book and her parents. After finding out a few things I was like this better not be a love triangle🤦♀️ because I really don't like love triangles sometimes because I feel like we always know who the person is going to pick anyway soooo🤷♀️. But I can tell Raven is totally for Rhyland only so I'm good. this was a good SHORT story. I just wished it was longer.
I love this story line. I love how it's not predictable. I just wish each book in the series were a little longer, but they come out quicker than a year so I'll be grateful.
I love the witch series set in this town and this series also. I love the twists in the plot and how the romance unfolds. Can’t wait to see what happens in the next book. Five glittery stars!
Wow 😄.This story was incredible, outstanding, exciting, and just amazing!! Jessica is an amazing writer and fantastic storyteller 😄!.I can't wait to continue reading 📚this series 😊.
I was definitely in a reading slump but this series ended that quickly. I devoured the first two books in this series in one night! PLEASE CONTINUE THIS SERIES! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT!
And the story will be continued... Again, page flipping suspense and an ending that leaves you wanting more. Must read first to understand what is going on. Does contain strong profanity
I didn’t know what to expect when I started reading these books. But I loved them. I finished both in a weekend. I would recommend them! Can’t wait for the 3rd book to come out!
5 stars all the way. Love Jessica Sorenson and once again she does not disappoint. Different storyline that draws you in from the start. Can't wait for next book. Love, love main characters.
Another great read. Looking forward to the whole story and curse being revealed. Raven, Rhyland and Kingsley's characters are growing and the love story is untangling. Looking forward to book 3
Oh the story is getting better and better. A King, a Queen, a curse that repeats itself. The more the story unfolds the more you wonder who is friend and who is the enemy? I'm thinking Nadine was NEVER meant to be queen and somehow she started the curse with the Fae Queen.
this is one of my favorite series by jessica sorensen! so many layers of drama, twists and turns galore, and great characters in crazy situations. love it!
