Narrator Review:
Sierra Kline did an awesome job narrating this book. The males voice from a female narrator is the one thing I am pretty picky about and Sierra did a great job. I had no problems distinguishing the different characters she impersonated. I will listen to more books narrated by Sierra.

Story Review:
Julian brags to his business partner, Preston that he could have anyone he wanted. To prove this, Preston bets him he can't seduce one of the interns to sleep with hem within two hours. As proof, Julian must give Preston her panties. What he wasn't expecting was that he would want more after seducing her.

This was not a good start for a story for me and probably why I couldn't warm up to Julian until almost the end of the book. The arrogance of these two men were unbelieveable. Julian is your typical billionaire who doesn't believe in love and sees women as only an avenue to release tension.

Despite Julian and Alyssa being together for pretty much the whole book, which I love, it took a long time before I believed Julian actually had feelings for her instead of her being just a convenience. Admittedly, I am not a fan of this type of Hero so this is more a me issue than the book.

What I did love was that despite not seeing the feelings from him, he took very good care of Alyssa. I am a big fan of the Cinderella trope and get enjoyment out of reading about a man spoiling their woman.

There is other women drama in this and I wanted Alyssa to stop being so nice and put her in her place but in the scheme of things, it wasn't a huge part in the story. Over all I would have liked to see Julian showing more love than lust earlier on in the story.

I purchased the kindle version of this book, however I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Once again Cynthia Dane has written a great billionaire romance. Initially this romance was issued in five parts but I read the complete serial all at once. What started out as a bet between business partners, quickly evolved into way more than Julian ever expected. Julian is determined to prove to his partner that he can seduce any woman, any time he pleases and he does so with his intern Alyssa. However, Alyssa is not just any intern and Julian releases almost immediately that one quick interlude will simply not be enough!
This was not only an enjoyable romance but also an opportunity to catch up with couples from Dane's other novels which is always a plus as they interact well with one another. That said we have both the Coles and the Monroes appearing in this novel. However, if you have not read their books, you can still follow the scenes that they are involved in. All in all a good read.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this novel.

This is an excellent and engaging story about the relationship between Alyssa and Julian, the circumstances of how they meet, the influences in their lives and how their love endures. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and would have no hesitation in recommending it.

Preston and Julian, on a whim, make a bet. Julian has to seduce one of their interns in two-hours and present Preston with the evidence to win the bet. Preston picks Alyssa, believing she is not Julian’s type; as far as Julian is concerned, the bet is a joke, but he loves a challenge. It is late at night when Julian calls Alyssa up at home and instructs her to come to his office immediately. From a quick background check, Julian finds out that Alyssa is safe and somewhat boring, but there may be more to her beneath the surface and he soon finds out this is the case. It is not long before Julian realises that Alyssa is the perfect person that he can mould into his submissive girlfriend; he would teach her everything. Julian wants the chance to initiate Alyssa into a world she has only fantasised about. Promoting Alyssa at work invites jealousy and it is not long before Alyssa finds out that Julian has not been entirely truthful with her. Cher, another intern at the company, has her own ulterior motives for causing trouble and has no qualms in using Preston to her advantage. This was her plan all along; once she realises she can bring Alyssa down with her, that only solidifies her resolve. What Cher doesn’t count on is the fact that Alyssa is genuinely in love with Julian. Alyssa knows better than almost anyone else that Julian is not always the best with words, but where do the lies end and the truths finally begin; now it is time for Julian to show Alyssa how he feels instead of telling her. But will she listen? There are quite a few additional secondary plots to the story making it an intriguing read, particularly Julian’s relationship with his older brother, as well as other well-known characters mentioned in other books by this author. So overall, a riveting read. A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.

A Review of BOSSED By The Billionaire by Cynthia Dane

Alyssa and Julian - 5 stars

I have to say, Ms. Dane has done it again. She has created characters that are so compelling that you stay on the edge of your seat the entire time you are reading this story. I ABSOLUTELY love the cover and cover model for this book and I thoroughly enjoyed getting to see characters from other books that Ms. Dane has written. This story is told in five parts, which are all contained in this one book at a wonderful price. Well worth the price of admission!

What happens when you place one virgin intern in the path of one sexy but cold billionaire? Sparks all over the place. But when Alyssa finds out exactly why and how their relationship came to pass, will she run? Will Julian's asshole ways finally be too much for Alyssa?

Bossed is steamy and entertaining. As Julian trains Alyssa to his exacting ways, I was cringing, because as sexy as they were, I just knew it wasn't going to end pretty, and it didn't. I have to say I didn't warm up to Julian until the end when Alyssa made him grovel. I really don't think he groveled enough, but then I'm obviously more vengeful than she is. But, thank God he got his head out of his ass and realized exactly what he had in Alyssa.

Cynthia Dane knows how to write steamy but with realistic, layered characters with flaws and all. I like that her characters aren't perfect, but have the same kind of flaws the rest of us have.

I received an ARC for an honest review.

Alyssa Pendleton is an intern working for Bradley and Marcus. An unexpected phone call on a Friday night will change her life forever. Julian Marcus insists he needs a file Alyssa took home to work on, so she will race back to the office. Suddenly Alyssa is having an affair with her boss and is promoted. Not everything is smooth sailing, a jealous coworker will try to sabotage their developing relationship. After Alyssa leaves, Julian realizes that he will do whatever necessary to have her back in his life. Wow, fantastic, well written, sizzling hot, sexy characters, and a plot with some surprises. Another must read by this author, I loved this book!

Alyssa is an innocent virgin intern working for the gorgeous Julian Marcus. Her life changes forever one night when she is called back to the office to bring a file to Julian. He always gets what he wants and he has decided he wants Alyssa. He likes the idea that she is young and inexperienced, that way he can train her the way the wants. He seduces her and they begin an affair until she leaves the company because of a vengeful employee. Julian knows that he can not go on without her and is determined to get her back. This is a faced paced well written story with lots of emotion, chemistry, passion, control, sex and manipulation, Lots of twists and surprises to keep you guessing. I received an arc copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

I really enjoyed reading this. It is outstanding writing. Alyssa and Marcus have so much chemistry between them, that continues to build throughout the book. Marcus is a dominant, alpha billionaire, and Alyssa is a learning submissive. I like that Alyssa is a submissive in some things, but not always. She still has her sparks. I like Marcus, in that when he knows he wants Alyssa, he goes after her, even knowing that this could end up backfiring on him. It is a pretty long book with its five parts, but it kept me interested throughout. It is a great story, with some laughter, and a lot of hotness. I voluntarily reviewed this advance copy, and I highly recommend it.

What started out as a bet between two business partners/best friend's ends up becoming so much more! Alyssa is a 22 year old coed that has a prestigious internship at a top firm. One Friday night, she gets a call from her boss, Julian Marcus, telling her to bring the files she took home with her & get back into the office. What follows is Alyssa's dream come true. The plot is fast paced & has twists & turns to keep the reader involved. This book has everything - intense chemistry, hot sex, jealous coworkers & unexpected twists.

Alyssa gets an unexpected Friday night phone call from her boss, Julian Marcus, to come in to the office. What Alyssa doesn't realize is her life will forever by changed. What starts as a fling and relationship of convenience evolves into deeper feelings and passionate love.
I loved the character cameos from two of my other favorite series by this author. This five part story was a quick, hot read with twists, mean girls, and funny times.

I loved Julian and Alyssa! I love the back and forth between them and the connection they have. He's alpha with a heart, romantic. Alyssa is sweet and strong. The story flows well, their relationship has some ups and downs that has you flipping pages. I really enjoyed some of the other characters and hope we get to see more of Preston!

The author did a good job of describing the characters and the story was interesting...there are more of these books I'm going to read. You have a story of a older man and a younger inexperienced woman. And he's going to teach her how he wants her to be in the bedroom...but I think he's going to be surprised!

I received this audiobook free for an honest review. The story was good, but 11 hours challenged my ADD. There were some missed opportunities in the story, i.e., why wasn't Julian and his partner's relationship challenged when his partner confronted Alyssa? There were several others. Plus, what was Alyssa's final test for Julian? That was not clear. The narrator did a good job as well.

Ugh. I know this was a collection of novellas, but this was 12 hours of my auditory life I’ll never get back. The characters are so empty, there’s nothing to like about them. The spice was not great, or frequent. And I agree with the other reviews talking about the strange word choices. Also, we are saying “my boyfriend/girlfriend” SO often that it’s weird. Skip it.

I didn't finish the audiobook. OMG I'm getting tired of her dialogues. The story is too long-winded and topics are discussed in a way that makes you tired. But maybe it's because it was an audiobook. Too bad because it could have been a good story in itself.

Hot new read!

Another HOT book by Cynthia Dane. So much fun to catch up with characters from past books in this book while getting to know Julian Monroe in-depth. We get to see all the ins and outs of his corporate world while watching his personal world grow....

Alyssa and Julian's book shows us the depth to Julian that I had no idea he had. I thought this guy was only the one and done man but this author has given us an amazing sexy story of a surprisingly well rounded man. Alyssa on the other hand is young and dumb in many aspects and needs to listen to her heart instead of others. This is a good story that I am glad Cynthia Dane finally got around to telling us.

This book took me a while to really get a feel for the author's writing style. The dialog felt like it was a mix between contemporary and old fashioned. Things like "Give me an heir" "I'll be very cross" and "Rather homely" in a story that I took to be set in a modern day and age just didn't really seem to gel at first. But after a while I simply got used to it.

The leading lady Alyssa was one of the naive types who is untouched and a virgin in the beginning but falls easily into the new world introduced to her by the dominant man in her life. The leading man Julian was cold and work focused, but slowly changes as he falls for Alyssa. This storyline overall is one I'm a fan of. And the narrator for the story did an excellent job in my opinion. Any moments that I didn't love in the story weren't because of her narration, but because of the lines she had to say while portraying one of the main or secondary characters.

In the end I found the story to be entertaining enough for me to finish, especially since I got to listen to it, but it won't necessarily be one that I rave about.
