AU. The Sorting Hat doesn't just let the Sword go when it falls on Harry's head in the Chamber, but also Sorts him again, this time into Slytherin. Harry is furious and terrified, and the adults aren't helping much.

Uff… Harry’s both the usual more mature for his age (and especially more than Sirius, whom I kinda want to run in front of a bus here), but at the same time an early teens prat and more stubborn than hell. On the other hand, he has way too much, more than just one “a lot”, coming down on him, and a lot of interwarring factions are also trying to stake their interest in him. I was really frustrated with his refusal to even listen to logical arguments multiple times, though. Remus was *much* worse than that, too. At least Harry’s got some of both Slytherins and Gryffindors on his side, although they’re sometimes working together just too well; Hermine’s legal save was… unwelcomed.

This story really needs a conclusion, it ends with a lot of unresolved issues, questions, tensions, etc. but I guess that’s what the sequel is for. I hope.

Update: reduced from 3 to 2 stars, the sequel is (unfinished, as of now) 15 chapters of some (a bit more effective) mind-healing that reads like an advertisement that everyone should go to one, but otherwise only waffling that doesn’t resolve anything let alone continue the story, plus an unconnected weird oneshot. Since *this* “book” is so unended, that means downing its rating is justified. As-is I can only recommend people to *not* start reading this, unless they’re into it. It’s not completely bad.

Parts of this made my blood BOIL!!! Harry is a kid taking care of adults who are taking advantage of him. I want to actually run over Lupin and Sirius. Atleast he has more friends here, but now they're all looking for him to protect them too! The parselmagic is interesting, I hope there's more of that. Fourth year is going to be hell

DNF @chapter 33.

Didn't work for me. First no one acted as their age, second I found the story a bit boring. Still Lomonaaeren is a good author who has written a lot and their fics are definitely worth reading.

This story breaks my heart. Poor Harry does all he can do to be what everyone else wants, and all he wants for himself is someone who will put him first. His efforts, the machinations of those around him, the expectations build into a tale that engages and saddens at the same time.

Brilliant plot and very unique. Quite hard to read, there isn’t much joy. But lots of scheming and politics. Would have been 5 stars if the relationships were explored further.
Also, never before have I been quite so enraged by Sirius oml

I really enjoyed the premise of this and all the friends/followers harry ends up with, but I sincerely wish he was more of a Slytherin and wasn't so self-sacrificing. it almost made me stop reading it because of it
