I had vaguely heard this story earlier. I remember seeing the story in a TV serial as well many years back. This is the first time I 've read the complete story. It did feel a bit incomplete from the perspective of the other characters but maybe the original story has the same issue.

Agenda driven

There's a limit to everything, time has come to say enough of this nonsense.
If the same type of " true devotion" would have been depicted on the great lord Jesus and great prophet Mohammad , the reaction would be a sight to behold , isn't it ? But as because we are sanatanis we will have to accept the propaganda otherwise we are fascist.
Tomorrow if someone tries to offer excreta as oblations devotionally , are we supposed to accept that also as bhakti or the mental health should be diagnosed according to science and psychology?
There's a difference between bhakti and eccentric extremism.
